  1. Looking at this makes my "achievments" with Burnley look poor. I started off as Burnley as I wanted a challenge and I started with the lowest possible manager stats and qualifications to make it that little bit harder. The first season I finished 17th on the final day, an away point vs City in game 37 kept destiny in my own hands and although I lost on the final day I managed to stay up. My signings included Shane Ferguson from Newcastle cause I didn't fancy Ross Wallace down the left, I got Mehdi Abeid on loan in January and renewed Michael Keanes loan. I played a 4-4-1-1 formation, my starting 11 was; Heaton, Trippier, Keane, Shackell, Mee, Arfield, Marney/Abeid, Jones, Ferguson, Boyd/Barnes, Ings. At the end of the season the board also gave me a new stadium, they started this with no prompt from me. I've just started my 4th season, the 2nd was similar to the 1st, finished 17th and the 3rd I finished 14th.
  2. Just read through this, absolute quality to have done so well. I'm doing a similar save and have just gotten into Europe for the first time, its a canny distance in the game though
  3. I snared him for my Bolton side for £4.2m, thought it was a bargain price, failed miserably to displace Lindegaard who performs far better without making anywhere near as many mistakes

  5. Just noticed this thread now. R.I.P Steven Fraser, although we never really communicated I often refered to your posts and guides. A valued member of this site is lost forever, my thoughts go out to those who knew him, once again R.I.P
  6. This is what mine says; Dispatched on 20 Oct 2011 Delivery estimate:21 Oct 2011 1 package via Royal Mail I highly doubt I'll get it by 21st unless they sent it earlier, bit miffed if I dont get it for release day, thats why I paid the £2 extra

  8. I pre-ordered mine from Amazon, its a total of £27.02 to get it on release day. If the price of the game drops (unlikely) you'll pay the lower price as well. Cant argue with that
  9. one thing which influences which one I train my strikers is the composure, if its low then I would recommend shoots with power but if its high then I would go with places shots
  10. Manchester United got one in my game and started listing loads of players for nothing (Smalling, Obertan, Carrick, Diouf) as well as others for knock down prices (Anderson £4m, Berbatov £2.9m) and a couple of others I cant remember at the minute. Just a shame I'm Charlton and have no money
  11. good point, this seems like the most obvious problem, he is outside of the transfer window
  12. in the long term possibly, if you are successful because of the increased revenue. It might also improve the club value because of the stadium, even though it would be rented and not technically owned by West Ham.
  13. good plan, just make sure you don't get caught
  14. what I find is the more I attack, like change my mentality from "control" to "attacking" or "overload" I seem to get more and more offside goals, there isn't too many while on control or more defensive settings
  15. I'm 22, really got into football games on the computer around Fifa 98 road to the world cup, my first management game was Premier Manager 98, but my 1st Championship/football manager game was Championship Manager 3, the 98-99 season
