Simply... Awesome!
I am not talking about effective training, reducing training, effective squad rotation, or substituting players once their stamina levels get below 75%. I read somewhere (from a number of places) that things like: - tackling hard - running from deep/or running with ball often - closing down often ... will increase the risk of injuries! My understanding is that: - if you close down often, quality payers will take advantage of holes in your defence - running with ball will invite tackling by opposition - tackling hard will invite the referee showing red cards! Is there any truth to the above? Most importantly, is there a way of playing that reduces injuries? Thanks in advance for your highly thought out, practical, and well educated response ofcourse
phnompenhandy
Yes, they are true. Therefore, easy tackling, going easy on closing down and dribbling should reduce the risk of injuries.
robertcornell68
In my experience, those are all true. but obviously, if you have a team of psycho-tacklers you'll just have to put up with the injuries.
Smurf
Most importantly, is there a way of playing that reduces injuries? Yeh it's called "Football Manager 10 for girls".

Thedore
All of what you say is true. If you want less injuries i would recommend tackling easier.

Sebacid
I have noticed a dramatic decrease in injuries when after every game I give the squad a day or two of rest from training...
ac13
Most of my team is on hard tacklnig yet it's the strikers who are on easy tackling who get injured the most. The tackled player should be the one getting injured not the tackler so I don't see how easy tackling could help at all.
DeadZone
My tackling has always been on hard (What can I say, I play a "man's" game) And I can't say I get too many injuries in matches Now... as for training injuries... that's a different matter lol
Koki
Letting your players pass the ball quickly before the opponents can tackle should reduce injuries.
