Mike7077
When you're linked with another job and you tell the press you're not interested, you get a message from your board saying that they are pleased with you for doing so. Does this have any real effect? As in, does it actually make the board warm further to you? Does it have an effect on the players?
Grimoz
Yes it would have an effect on your loyalty stats.
Edle
i can offer nothing but anecdotal evidence but in previous versions when i have said i was insterested by job security would drop by a certain amount.
Ellis_D
It does halp with your loyalty stats, and yes it does make the board (and fans) more affectionate towards you and reduce your chances of getting the sack.
joshb729
Another question.. When you say this, does the other team backoff? or do they approach you with an offer anyway?
Guest PW
In my experience it can affect the other team approaching you. I have only had teams still approach me if I make no comment about their interest, so far any team I have said I'm not interested in have never offered me the job. alimac
There is no definite answer that it DOES have an effect. Like so many things in FM just as in real life it CAN affect players, fans, chairmen depending on various factors.
