I just organised a ton of friendlies for my reserve squad to give them match practice. And then the Champions League group draw came up, and suddenly, one of my reserve friendlies got cancelled. To be honest, I can't understand why that would be unless they think I'll need to send my reserves in! I also have the reserve team being managed by the coach, so it's not like I need to be physically there. Maybe it's a rule? I've got no idea, but I would love to know if this is a bug or not. I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but when you manage the reserves and U-18 teams their schedules revolve around the 1st team's. I've had this happen to me a few times. At the same time Liverpool Reserves played Man City Reserves in the Reserve League. So in real life it's possible to have first team and reserve team games at the same time. In the game (I haven't played FM09) reserve fixtures always get canceled or postponed if they clash with the first team's games.
