Kenco
No because that would be cheating.
Rushers82
As a novice a few years back i did boost the stats of the players in just my squad and subsequently romped up the divisions without too much trouble. Was a bit of fun to begin with but soon got boring. Wouldnt dream of it now as it rather defeats the object of the game (ie the challenge) in my opinion. I do sometimes add a couple of things in, such as me and my mates at random lower league clubs with a low CA but quite high PA just to see how our careers progress. I make a rule never to sign any of these people myslef though, and to be honest not a lot actually happens in my experience.
rednwhites
No because that would be cheating. Here we go... The 'cheat' brigade out in force. If I want to update my team with the current players then I will do fella. Got to love people who have 'football manager morals'.
rednwhites
I think some of you may have mis-understood. I haven't made any players better, just added the players who my club have brought in since the last official update!
Feedolover
I have done very league down from Prem to League 2, and after August will update the rest to give me a 2 month game until FM10
Neji
I just download a full update from the editors hideaway. Updated FIFA's squads on the 360 though, not just my own team though.
Chappers72
No because that would be cheating. exactly. Have never used it and never will.

Got to love people who have 'football manager morals'. It's not about morals, I just find it less satisfying to win after increasing the ability of my squad. I'm not criticising you for doing it, you can do what you want fella.

Should probably have said that at the start, your initial response came across as a criticism.
DanGLiverpool
He isn't necessarily increasing the ability of his squad. If he were to update Man Utd, then he would be without Ronaldo, so that would probably be a weakness. Think the guy means putting in the summer transfers, not increasing stats.
