Nicknames

Does the "nickname" parameter in the data editor have any use in game? I have never seen a team being referred by its nickname. It would be nice to have a match review between the "Gunners" and the "Red Devils". Maybe its like the "female" or "hardcore fans" parameter, which is in the editor but it hasn't been used yet.

By the way i think the use of nicknames is a very good idea and it should be also available for players, like Messi being referred sometimes as "Leo" Messi, or Lisandro López as "Licha", Ibrahimovic "Ibra" ,etc you get the point.

You can put nicknames to any players.

Yeah, for example a Brazilans full name may be Luis Agnaldo Da Silva Costa, but his nickname in editor might be Ernandes! The "Ernandes" part will be the bit used within the game.

I have, and it is usually in a news headline that explains a recent match report, e.g. "Los Merengues get the win with 10 men", etc etc

If you have a player, like I did, called "Thorsten Asmann" the nickname editor has it's obvious uses

as for the players, yes you can add nicknames, but it only works for that specific save, right?
