dontlookback82
My Macbook Pro now refuses to play the FM 09 disc and spits it out every time I put it into the machine. The frustrating thing is that every other disc I have tried including FM 08 & 07 both work along with everything else! However, the disc still works on the PC even though it is heavily scratched. What I would like to know is there anyway of making a copy of the original disc on the PC as a back up disc that would than work on my Mac?
SSGTroyer
I don't need the disk to play FM09...the online authorization has made the disk unneeded...
SnakeXe
There's no legal way of doing it. As much as I think it should be legal to make a copy of a game you bought legitimately for your own use! But that's another argument
ftg87
I don't need the disk to play FM09...the online authorization has made the disk unneeded... There is no authentication on Macs so you need to use the disc to play it
FrazT
Remember that previous FM games were on CD and this one is on a DVD
Mufckingud7
right first things come to mind are... have you got a friend or family member who has a pc/laptop if so see if the disc reads in there if it doesn't then the disc will need repairing this can be done at blockbusters and some other dvd rental places or even the likes of game etc. if the disc reads then the other test would to see if any other games or dvd's cd's work and if they work, i'm not sure yet. if they don't work then there is a few options open. try cleaning the laser in the disc drive if that fails then try updating the dvd drives firmware if that fails then you may try uninstalling the firmware and reboot install new firmware, but don't do this unless you have the correct firmware and or someone who owns a mac or if i find a place which specialises in this area can help you if you don't know what your doing. i hope some of this may come to helping you solve the issue. if you purchased the game less than 90 days ago and still have the receipt then you may be eligible to send this back under warranty terms and get it fixed or replaced but best to ask first.
