TerminalPortugal
The league for the upcoming season.
TerminalPortugal
We are very much amongst the favourites to go back up this season.
TerminalPortugal
Our first and only friendly this pre-season ends in a 3-1 win.
TerminalPortugal
League arch rivals Labasa sign out best full back, which is a problem, hopefully the DoF sorts it out.
TerminalPortugal
The DoF targets Labasa back by getting Oshen in, I think Labasa got the better deal, but he is a good addition.
TerminalPortugal
First game of the season and we beat fellow promotion hopefuls Navua 4-2 late on, last season we were conceding late goals, now we are getting them to win matches. A very important win for us.
TerminalPortugal
Meh
TerminalPortugal
We lose Nasara, not first choice but still a very good player.
TerminalPortugal
New signing comes out as gay.
TerminalPortugal
Another 4-2 win, this time against Nalawa. We top the table and are looking good this season.
TerminalPortugal
Huge blow as our main striker gets a bad injury in training.
TerminalPortugal
We get a draw against Lami, seemed a bit toothless up front with Khan out, this could really dent our chances.
TerminalPortugal
Things are beginning to unravel as we lose away to a 94th minute winner. Vosalagi getting himself sent off didn't help matters. We lose top spot.
TerminalPortugal
A smash and grab win against Navua keeps us in the hunt for the title. Still a point behind Lami. It could come down to the return game against them this season.
TerminalPortugal
We have probably blown the league after that performance. A 3-3 all draw against bottom of the league Nalawa.
TerminalPortugal
Just the result we needed away to Lami. Any other result and there was going to be no way back, however with this win, some might argue we are favourites now, although Lami have a game in hand and goal difference is equal.
TerminalPortugal
No repeat of last years good youth intake.
TerminalPortugal
Our win is tainted by a win for Lami as well by the same goal difference, which means that in the final fixture they have which is still to come they move to the same points as us. As the table shows we are now probably in the hands of Lami as to whether we take home another league title. There game is away to Seaqaqa in about a month. We hold out hope that they can upset Lami. TerminalPortugal
We done it again, champions of Group A and into the playoffs as Lami choke on the final day. Final table looks like this.
TerminalPortugal
Taveuni and Labasa are the opponents for promotion.
TerminalPortugal
New striker comes in from Labasa in the form of 19 year old Josefa Chand, we had issues mid year with the strikers and Khan out, this guy will help
TerminalPortugal
We lose our best centre-back to Savusavu. Honestly Fiji is utter chaos when it comes to trying to keep a team together.
TerminalPortugal
A 1-0 loss in the first playoff game means that to have any chance we would need Labasa to lose their next one. Really we are up against it when it comes to promotion now. They were really lucky labasa, one shot on target one goal, when we were probably the better side.
TerminalPortugal
We sign a new contract with the club until the end of 2024 season. Also i forgot to give the world ranking for FIji, they are now 130th in the world meaning we get 191% modifier to our scores, also I am increase the base to two to get things move just a little bit quicker for now.
TerminalPortugal
The DoF raids Savusavu back for a centre-back, he has a vindictive streak I swear. He looks like a capable centre back if not probably as good as Loki.
TerminalPortugal
That result I believe effectively means beating Taveuni by 2-0, should get us through. At least there is hope.
TerminalPortugal
For god's sake our goalie, decides to walk out on the club to Division One cannonfodder. What is wrong with these people.
TerminalPortugal
Recent signing Oshen, also decides to walk out. These people are idiots, you are one game away from top division football and you walk out.
TerminalPortugal
Another first teamer is gone, we are getting raided hard just before our most important game of the season.
TerminalPortugal
Now the other winger as well. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!
TerminalPortugal
We lose and are not promoted. I am not surprised, we lost four first teamers before the game. It's an absolute joke!
TerminalPortugal
The DoF pulls out the stops to get a quality signing between the sticks. He is old but there is plenty of quality left in him. Great acquisition considering what just happened to us.
TerminalPortugal
Another useful player leaves, to be fair he was mostly a backup, probably the least problematic defection so far.
TerminalPortugal
The DoF does wonders again and brings in Prakash at full back. The DoF clearly hates Savusavu. My advice to them is **** off and leave our players alone.
TerminalPortugal
Another decent signing for us, not the same quality as the last two but probably needed him.
TerminalPortugal
Right well the season is over and it is time to assign some miles. We won 5 games this season. The equation as follows:- 2 x 1.91 x 2 x 3 (10 game season) So each win is worth 11.49 miles so this season is worth 57.43 miles, and added to our haul of 94.82, leaves us on 152.25 miles. As you can see that slices right into Fiji and potentially allows us access to some of the Top Division clubs from South Island.

TerminalPortugal
Two pre-agreed deals enter the club on the first day of the transfer window.
TerminalPortugal
The eve of the new season and Fiji are now 125th in the world. Thats a 201% modifier which is very nice.
TerminalPortugal
First game of the season and a creditable draw away against a very strong Navua team. Rakiraki losing their first game of the season against unfancied Bua also helps.
TerminalPortugal
A good win against another promotion hopeful in Rakiraki. 3-1 the final result and we pretty much dominated them from start to finish. The table sees us joint leader with Bua after two games.
Jimbokav1971
This is an interesting concept. Certainly not one that I have seen before. I was going to say that you started in the wrong place, but thinking about it you started in exactly the right place. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. You have built up enough "Airmiles" to go from the North to South Island, (I didn't even know Fiji was 2 Islands). I haven't seen you comment with you being linked with other jobs. Are you able to apply or do you have to wait until you are approached? A bigger club in Fiji would certainly be a step in the right direction. Looking at the map, it would be nice to see you go through PNG rather than straight to Aus, but there are also some great countries in a NW direction. The only other thing I would say is don't ignore your Youth Intakes just because they are all PA rather than CA. If you are likely to be at a club for a while, it could be another option for you. Good luck.

Good luck. Cheers mate, So yeah it was a bit of crazy challenge that I decided would be a bit of fun. Not been easy in Fiji. I can approach the club if I wish. I have had one interview offer from Navua, but at the time they were way outside our range, so they weren't an option. Most of the best teams are on the South Island (not its real name, but easier for context), so there has been almost no reason to bother moving. Now we are probably at the first stage where we could secure a decentish job. I don't think I have the db for PNG. I do have it for New Zealand, New Caledonia which would likely be right direction I want to end in. You are right about the youth intakes, however there are two reasons why it is not worth focussing on too much, a) the clubs facilities are pretty crap so difficult to develop the players well enough to rely upon it and finances are awful at the club now, consistently in the red. They won't even pay for the qualifications any more. b) non contracts in Fiji mean, if they get remotely good, someone comes in and takes them off your hands. I got absolutely screwed and the end of the last season with players just jumping ship before the second playoff game.
TerminalPortugal
**** poor. I would love to know how many times we blow leads since we started at this club. The table appears to be upside down, based on odds.
TerminalPortugal
A key win against Bua in what was a very even match. Levuka are the surprise leaders at the half way point, Navua and Rakiraki are really underperforming.
TerminalPortugal
Another lead blown as we draw at home to Navua. We really are a little bit of composure away from being a good team. Tight at the top of the league.
TerminalPortugal
A loss against Rakiraki, which to be honest might be acceptable had they not be doing so crap this season and secondly had we not again done stupid things like get a sending off. Levuka's to lose now really.

Must be so tough with such a short season, you basically have to go unbeaten to win the league
