Difference: Scout and Analyst Report

Recommended Posts

The scout is going to give you the formation, mentality, shape & roles used in the last match

The analyst is going to give you information about things that happened over previous games, such as areas where they seem to be vulnerable, where they create their goal scoring chances from etc.

You can use that info to make a game plan, but the AI could change what it is they do when they play you.

Thanks. So, is the analyst's report more comprehensive and more valuable than the scout's report? Also, any idea of which one is less expensive?

No it's not more valuable, it's just two different sets of information that you can use (some people ignore it and maintain a static style of play regardless of what the opposition is doing).

The scouts going to let you know that teamX is likely to play a 541 Control + Flexible .. and you'll know which roles are in each position. This tells you they will probably have men behind the ball even with the more attacking mentality and that you could struggle to break them down.

The analyst will give you info along the lines of .. has only managed 3 shots on goal in 270 minutes when playing against 442, has been vulnerable when playing against 433 in the opening 15 minutes .. stuff like that

The scout is about the players, the analyst is about the numbers in it's simplest explanation.

Assuming your 'Scout next opposition' guy has good Tactical knowledge, his reports will be expected formation, mentality, shape. Players in position, roles of those players etc.

The analyst will be more along previous history and recent games, passes completed and where, passing combinations, passing maps, action areas and heat maps, movements - the numbers behind it all.

Used in combination they can be a powerful tool for us to use. So, the analyst tells you most Key Passes are down the right, your scout tells you who is playing down the right and in what role.
