HoreTore Posted February 9, 2014 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Hello I'm currently managing Stockport, and noticed that they didn't get any youth intake... Apparently, the youth division had been axed on their journey down the pyramid... I got promoted with a million in the bank(Stockport budgets are way below what the club actually makes, so they have a profit every month), and now I want the youth system back up. I signed up for both the reserve and u18 leagues, as well as harassing the board until they agreed to give me youth recruitment and junior coaching. My facilities page now reads "Basic junior coaching" and "limited youth recruitment" where it previously read "no junior coaching/youth recruitment". I am also able to hire under21/18 assistant mangers as well as a youth coach. Is this what it takes, or have I missed something important? Should I now get a youth intake as normal? On my save in both fm13 and 14, I've had a team with no or low youth intake, but the only option in board discussion has been to reduce it, despite having a large budget and decent reputation. MTM1977 Posted February 11, 2014 Share Posted February 11, 2014 I got Stockport board to approve improving youth recruitment on first season. They didn't agree at first, but then i chose one of those "i really think it's important" options (can't remember which) and they came around and agreed.
