14 posts in this topic

Now that Scotish Football has voted the club in its new guise to SL3, what will the history show FM2013?

As far as I'm aware the history transfers to the newco.

The fun will start if the titles get stripped after an investigation into the dual contracts.

Check what happened with Fiorentina ingame, and you'll have the answer :)

They shouldn't have any history. If they wanted to keep the history of 'Rangers FC' they should have accepted and paid there debts, they didn't and now there is no longer a Rangers FC, rather a Sevco5088. They shouldn't have even been put into the 3rd automatically, you are supposed to have 3 years of records which have to then be submitted to the SFL along with any other team interested in joining the league system, but it's been totally over looked to let them in.

Well said Laughlan, bang on the money.

Never mind though, Sevco 666 won't survive 2012/12 so we'll not need to worry about them for long.

They bought their history back after being bumped back up the leagues, Fiorentina Viola originally started will a clean slate.

SI will no doubt just hold fire & amend the database once it becomes known/acknowledged irl.

The history was specifically mentioned in the purchase agreement between Charles Green and the administrators. Rangers as a football club will continue and add to the 140 years of footballing history regardless of whatever company is operating the football club. :)

Rangers is still rangers they brought all the logo and naming rights in the takeover there history stays intact, as far as I know, they will be back in no time to the top table of Scottish football and good luck to them they are one of the biggest clubs in great Briton

Football doesn't work like that, the club and the company are one and the same. You can't simply 'transfer history' from Club A to Club B. No matter how much you get your cronies in the main stream media to peddle it for you. Who will take over the history when Sevco 999 go tits up by January?
