Nygaard is a Saint
Hi guys, Just had a quick question I was hoping someone could shed light on; I'm playing an attacking 4-5-1 formation with two wide inside forwards. I've noticed that when not in possession, they don't really track back into their own half in order to hassle opponents. Has anyone got any ideas on this? I suppose one suggestion could be to switch my philosophy to 'fluid' or 'very fluid' but I don't really want defenders pushing forward, and if possible I'd like to keep a rigid formation. Thanks for any help
masteR
Maybe you should change them to man marking?
superpostie36
Look at there personal instructions and lower mentality, should see a change.
R0ca
Maybe you should change them to man marking? This plus don't expect a player with low teamwork and workrate amongst others to track back everytime ain't going to happen i'm afraid
VoteForPedro
Or changing to Fluid Philosophy in order to get everyone involved in defending and attacking... By changing my Philosophy from Rigid to Fluid I have noticed my attacking players getting involved in defending phase much more...
Nygaard is a Saint
Thanks guys - I'll try the man marking approach first but good shout about the work-rate, perhaps a change of personnel would change things.
jimbobBRFC
Man Marking usually works relatively well. Lowering mentality will also probably work although they may not stay as far forward then. Man marking usually works best
aderow
And if man marking doesn't work, go with specific man marking. That should do the trick.
