Issue Comments posted by Wolf_pd

  1. @Zachary Whyte based on some testing I think this is related to one team in Division Honor not being counted. The team I suspect is the issue is a newly created team. The same issue will happen for several other teams at the second level (Aruban Division Uno)

This could be related to the bug where teams are set to extinct during testing/verification process, but I could be wrong.

It IS a bug because you cant pick greek teams when you put this file dude.  And the games start at 18/8/2023 so why ad editor it starts 2/9/2023?

Yes, it is a bug. I said so in my reply. I said it is not an Editor bug.

It is a bug for the Greek competition section.

Yes, it is legitimate to call it a (huge) bug, but I think it was done by design for performance reasons. If they disable teams that are not used, processing will speed up.

Of course, we now have this ugly side effect. I too, have rule files with cups that draw teams from e.g. an inactive lower division.

My workaround is to set the nr of teams for divisions that I didn't make rules for. That way the teams are not set to extinct.

In your case you could set the nr of teams for "Amateurliga" to a certain value.

    Hi @Rygel16

just to check I understand you correctly, if I have a cup and I set per level I take my teams from, it should work? Like this example, because that doesn't appear to work for me? I have 102 teams, while the game requests 100 teams. But maybe I am setting it wrong, so if you could explain the how-to in the editors hideaway, that would be very much appreciated.

I have added the file I created just now here. This is the way I have previously added the UK (England and the others) to the EU in FM22 and 23.
I can confirm that this does not remove Brexit from the game like it did for me in FM22 and FM23
That, at least for England and the other Home Nations means that Agreement Changes are not picked up in the game, or something coding wise or in the game-rules overrules the agreement change.

From an editor point of view I can't explain in any other way than that Brexit seems to be hardcoded now, or at least overwriting the agreements changes from the editor.

    England join EU.fmf

New testfile created. This allows for England to join the EU, so agreement changes are shown when the game is able to trigger them.
I have not been able to remove the Brexit mention in the Premier League rules in anyway, not even when removing all Work Permit Rules, so this looks to be hardcoded.

  5. That is a good question why you have those lines while I don't have those.
Can you share your editor version? It can be found under File >> About. My version is 24.1.0+1922242 and as far as I can see I have no updates pending.

The only way I can create those lines under England >> Information >> Agreements is by adding England to the European Union Agreement.
I do not change data under England, except that I have added the start date of England in the EU.

Nothings been changed!  Smaller leagues you can even move none extinct teams from unusable (Lower leagues) "Sint Maarten" to the Top Division without it crashing the game upon loading the database!

    -Uniforms
    -Team Data
    -Extinct teams
    -League changes

All broken, so far it's all that I found.  The bummer is I get as much enjoyment in the Editor as I do in game!

    WE NEED A HOTFIX ASAP

    Don't yell. Thank you.

  7. Your fixture list has been set without taking into account that in basic rules the League Dates are set to 2/9/2023 to 19/5/2023.

The file works without the fixtures which means the issue is in the fixture dates used. Also, this can be fixed inside the editor, like I have done in the file included.

This is a bug for the Greek competition section where they need to set the correct date range.

This is not an editor bug.

Sorry to bump this, @Wolf_pd, but what did you do in order to make these edits? I downloaded the file you attached, but can't figure out what you changed.

I want to get rid of VAR from every nation in the game, not just England 😂 - want to live in a world where it doesn't exist!

If you check the competitions in Advanced Rules, you will see the section Fixture Times and Rules. Under there, you will see VAR Rules for Match. For the Premier League and a few other competitions, there were some VAR rules there. In general you will find VAR in the higher competition (obviously), but there are a few youth competitions where you will find VAR as well.

  9. The stadium settings have to be set in multiple places. Setting it in the round is not enough to tell the game what to do.

You have to set it in the Stadium Rules as well to avoid Stadium Rules saying something else than what your Cup round says. An example (there are various solutions btw) is this one from a DDR edit I made.

So not a bug, just needs some extra editing.
