  1. It does when it's the majority of games for all teams over a season. Stop looking at the scorelines (yes crazy ones happen, seeing a 0-0 and a 1-0 however shouldn't make your mouth drop which it does in FM24) and look at the total amount of goals
  2. Tried sucking it up and accepting the amount of goals. Just can't do it. Saw 5 games in one game weekend with over 7 goals and 3 of the other two had over 4
  3. @DarJ I'd want it so that the GPG is brought down. Happy medium by just lowering the conversion rate (as the rest of the ME seems fine) down to 12% from the current 14% (IRL 7-8%, FM23 9-10%) would solve it imo. I need to have realistic results and be able to grind out results and clean sheets.
  4. Dude... he's 5'6/7. He was never going to be a CB. I'm sure there's lots of technically and mentally great CBs who were just too short to make that position. Play him in DM. He'd be great. Or do all players have to be born a certain height now?
  5. No problem. I think the interesting bit for me is obviously the overall conversion rate is higher than FM23 and IRL (FM has always been higher I believe) but it's evident Italy is very close to the norm and the Bundesliga is the only one that underperforms in terms of GPG (I have done a sim with 5 new countries and leagues on top of that list). It appears that the Bundesliga on FM (and IRL) there are a lot less shots taken compared to other leagues which I wasn't expecting and very interested into how this is done in FM. E.g is it tactical etc or something else. Without the Bundesliga, it looks like a conversion adjustment even by 2% would be significant. But understand this requires more digging and might not be as simple.
  6. Hi @Jack Joyce I've posted in the relevant bug thread since early access came out. "Amount of goals" with no reply to several examples posted and staying if you require saves or additional context or information you can have them. This is the last post I put in there back in early access for ease. There is a load of other posts exploring clean sheets, and conversion rates such as 1st place from IRL wouldn't even get to to 17th position on FM in the Championship. I am in the process of running yet another test with similar results (so the 3rd set of sims) and you're more than welcome to have the file/s.
  7. The league you're using is currently full detail. So the player will always be using the ''less realistic'' option. A lot of people use full detail for other leagues to have it match the users league, and also for realism as the QME just uses a combination of factors for results such as reputation so leagues don't move as much club wise as they do IRL. This isn't usually a huge issue, but due to the full engine amount of goals being so unrealistic, it is.
  8. My comment was directed at Warlock. But thankyou for posting your screenshots anyway. May of seen on the beta thread I did a big spreadsheet. The lower divisions (step 2/3) are even worse than the top leagues!
  9. That's why then. That means the league is being simulated using the QME - quick match engine. If on detail level the league were to be selected in ''full'' (as if you were managing in it) the results would be quite something. That's why if you were managing in D3 for instance and you look at the top scorers over a 38 game season, they might have around 35 goals. But the division below/above which would be using the QME would be around 15. There's always been a big disparity between the QME and the Full ME, but obviously this is exacerbated this year by the 15-20% conversion rate on the full ME.
  10. Genuine question, is the amount of goals genuinely not shattering some level of immersion for you?
  11. And this is the issue. The game is a spreadsheet. It doesn't need fancy graphics or flashing lights. If thats what they think they need to attract people, send them to Fifa. Just concentrate on getting the spreadsheet and basics right. Anyway back to feedback. Another season another 489 goals scored compared to average and an xG overperformance of +311 in game and a conversion rate average of 15.7%. Clean sheets? Division 180 below the IRL number. Oh and 5 sides in the top 10 scoring over 105 goals. A team in 13th scoring 98 goals.
  12. The direction is wrong, and that comes from the top. Don't worry about your legacy bugs that annoy you and have done for the last 3/4 editions, you can put facepaint your manager!
  13. They shouldn't be connected or dependent on one another to be released. If there's a gameplay fix, release it as soon as it's ready. Same for licensing. It's the first time they've ever said to expect a fix for many issues reported very soon though which is what I'm hoping on.
  14. Agreed. I feel especially with the solid release time this year the full release and current version may of been uploaded and sitting for a good period of time. So hopefully the fixes are ready to go soon
  15. All that would do is push the issues 2/3 weeks further down the line. There's legacy bugs going back up to 4/5 years in terms of UI and stats. Still aren't fixed for the most ''polished version ever''. Really quite simple ones at that. But I suppose they're managable for a user and not high priority. Then there's a fair few issues that somehow made it through the in-house alpha stage. Excessive goals, excessive conversion rates, squad depth interactions, AI not making subs, your own U21 team not making subs unless there's an injury and now I'm hearing team talks don't work? If they weren't spotted at Alpha then they NEED us to find them for them. Whether they fix them is up to them. Within playing 5 games of the beta (so about 3 hours game time) I thought... ''hmm, seems to be a lot of goals'' so simulated some tests on full detail which had finished a 3 season span a couple of hours later. Within 8 hours in total I'd completed the stats, investigated possible cause, set pieces? nope in line, xG chances? nope seem level with IRL and shown that the GPD was way out for a lot of leagues and conversion rate over double that of IRL and about a 50% increase (so from 9/10% to 15/16%) compared to FM23. Thats one single person noticing an issue within 3 hours and evidencing it within 8. Why wasn't it picked up on Alpha? Same for the legacy bugs that have been in for years and again, were noticed within 2/3 hours of game time in the beta. The OP says that fixes are coming very soon, and we'll hear more about them very soon. Interesting. Are we getting a post before they come out then? I know timeframes are never given for understandable reason, but it would be nice to know if we're talking within a week, before the end of the month or within 6 weeks as what classifies as soon. I'm hoping very very soon, as this is I believe the first release where no gameplay issues at all have been fixed for the release. Then we have the Japan issue. Personally licenses etc don't bother me, but for them to just release the full version and not even have a side note of ''oh btw, still working on the licenses so they're not all in yet'' would've been.... well expected tbqh. Even most companies probably would've added a sorry on. But we didn't even get the courtesy of a notification unless we probed them on the forum or twitter. I do however think that fixes should be released as soon as they are ready, even if it's only for 1/2/3 issues at a time rather than the ''lets wait an extra 2/3 weeks where we can batch them all into one big update'' instead of delaying releasing ready fixes for issues that some may deem as worthy of preventing them from playing. Honestly, did enjoy my time playing the beta but did have to put it down as the ME which was beautiful to watch, was just preventing defensive football being played and regardless of tactic or who you were playing and for other teams in the league 90% of games were goal-fests resulting in teams such as Birmingham in my save finishing 14th... whilst scoring 98 goals and conceding 117. That's almost 5 GPG for a team in 14th. And they weren't an exception to the rule. The ME is central to everything and the amount of goals is just immersion breaking. I've always been able to enjoy a beta/full release regardless of the bugs issues but I can't even enjoy the game currently. Please just fix the amount of goals/conversion rate and I'm very happy with FM24. We're going seasons with divisional xG overperformance being in excess of +300 goals when you click on the xG table in game... Sure the other issues such as AI subs, U21 sub issue, team talks etc are fairly important and over a long-term save could have developmental effects on players. But wouldn't stop me picking it up and enjoying the game which was paid for for a season or two while they were sorted.
  16. I'd imagine if this is a save game and if they have actually done some fixes to db/comps, then you'd need a new save as it's a competition rule.
  17. Can confirm. I was noted for my ''wing play'' style with my 5-3-2 WB with... *checks notes* no wingers or width. something something most polished version ever
  18. Injuries happen. It's part of the fun. They actually need upping
  19. Yep. No way I can play with the way score lines and 16% conversion rates are at the moment, or have been all beta.
  20. I think it's more the fact teams in 7th, 8th, 13th, 15th are all getting figures between 70 - 90 also...
  21. Please confirm you're managing Elche/or the league is in full detail. I haven't had a single full detail sim under 1349 total goals in a season yet. Which is an GPG of 2.91. I note this is La Liga 2 where the average GPG for the last 3 years has been: 2.l02, 2.42, 2.05.
