  1. It's worrying really exactly how overpowered playing any form of formation with a high line and a high press is (never mind the preset gegenpress), even if you don't have the players for it. There doesn't seem to be many other ways to play currently. There is ZERO satisfaction. I know gegenpressing has always been OP, but never in my mind to this degree. Trying to play defensive football, or soak/counter attacking football is absolute suicide on this edition.
  2. Really hoping that keepers diving before the shot has even taken place is one of these tweaks they've announced, as I feel this may be responsible for some of these goals...
  3. Are Saudi clubs too OP in terms of transfer activity? Seems just an ''easy'' mode for top flight managers to raise funds. Transfer fee's seem ridic in general. Man City signing someone for 278m just 2 seasons in.
  4. Not a bug for me? I used to see this in FM23 when a club was very near to admin and points deductions.
  5. Interesting. I'd of thought this bit would be the last thing to do when preserving a lead.
  6. Hi, thanks for this. Please could you post the table in a detalied view so we can see conceded and also a list of the fixture results?
  7. Yeah. Both the text and the list however are in reference to the upcoming update next week though. Within the first of our minor updates, we’ve made changes to various areas across the game. Maybe the changelist when it's out will be expanded to let us know the other work they've done on Goalkeepers in the ME away from injuries.
  8. And lastly, the Match Engine is receiving tweaks to Goalkeepers, and particularly their injury frequency. Match Engine  Reduced frequency of injuries to goalkeepers  Great to have an update, but the first line suggests changes to Goalkeepers other than injury frequency but then says just that bullet point? Could we have some clarity if any other changes are being made as part of that update to Goalkeepers and if so what they are? (Hopefully being made better)
  9. Cheers, great work also. Do you know if there's a way I can work around it? Just as that resolution isn't available for me on the list!
  10. I've seen so many people reporting getting back to back to back promotions
  11. Probably quite a difficult one with the new CL format coming. Especially with extra games (I think at the very least two?) And it not having took place in real life yet to see how it pans out scheduling wise. I think this is why a lot of elite players are against it, the sheer number of games in such a short space of time
  12. FM23 averaged for the Premiership and CH on my save the following over 3 seasons: PL: 2.42, 2.75, 2.77 CH: 2.78, 2.40, 2.62 FM24: PL: 3.16, 3.02, 3.10 CH: 3.35, 3.51, 3.27 You're clearly getting confused with my screenshot in which I managed one team Birmingham, had awful attackers and set up to draw out 0-0's and managed on 1.95GPG for one set of games and 2.0 GPG for the other where on FM24 it was 3.75 over the same fixtures.
  13. You can compare it over one season, or compare it over 3 like I have to get the average. False. I want realistic play where you can get 1-0's and 0-0's. At the moment it's impossible to tell if a result is justified, lucky, due to tactics, personnel or just because goalkeepers and strikers are useless/deadly. You've yourself said lower leagues are awful. Every league is over the GPG on each sim bar the Bundesliga. So your claim about play being stale is false, I just don't want immersion breaking bugs. ALSO - you state 2 goals per game is too low. Correct, as average for GPG across all teams it is. But look at the screenshot. It's from one single team who averaged 1.95GPG because I set them up that way. Guess what? 6 teams in the division last season had under 2GPG. The average across the division on that FM23 save was 2.62. Perfect.
  14. Please continue this over the course of the season and see how it turns out, will be interesting to see. Both the xG table over/underperformance and the actual table to work out the GPG! I've not had a single test or save that doesn't so far sadly EDIT - the numbers in your xG and then using the calculations from the over/under performance and matches played show a GPG of 3.2 if my maths is correct for you rather than 2.9.
  15. Decided to load up an older FM23 game in which I was Birmingham. Really good save as we didn't have much firepower, best players were defenders (and even then probably L1 standard) and really had to grind and be cautious and try get lucky with point/s. We actually ended up finishing like 16th before anyone has a pop . But I found a save from the midway point in the season. Below we can see the results from the FM23 engine: FM23: 41 goals from 21 games - 1.95 GPG. FM24 (same tactic): 45 goals from 12 games - 3.75GPG Then just also to show how the same fixtures played out on FM23: 28 goals from 14 games GPG: 2.00
  16. I'd certainly hope so as seen this is the first time I believe they've never implemented any gameplay fixes from beta to full version. I think only the second time they haven't made any ME changes. I hope they're not waiting on database changes (as seen as the data lock was the 18th of October) before releasing GAMEPLAY fixes and ME stuff as seen as the db changes can easily be made on the editor by players.
  17. Likelihood for some for of update today? EDIT: Huge apologies for asking the likelihood of an update which would rectify issues raised by myself and others as feedback, in the feedback thread.
  18. They did a pretty good job with it in FM23 in terms of getting the balance between leagues and standards and seeing novel results and also 0-0,s 1-0,s and 1-1, 2-1's etc. Nowadays I get shocked when I see a 0-0, but don't even blink at a 5-3 because there's usually at least one or two others in the same gameweek. Out of all the tests (Others have been done with even more leagues, countries not displayed in the thread) the Bundesliga/B2 is the only league that underperforms, and even then to a minimal degree and is mostly due to the fact less shots are taken in the Bundesliga (both in FM and IRL, but in FM even more so as is the case for all leagues). Would you rather have one league be under, or every other league above and in some cases above excessively? Surely you favour the many in that case. You have to be able to play defensive football, as well as attacking football. Currently due to the conversion rate being so high it's pointless and impossible to grind out narrow tight results and set up in that way, which is the absolute foundation for a side fighting to stay up usually. Reverting to basics, defend, if you can score great if not respect the 0-0. . Happy medium by just lowering the conversion rate (as the rest of the ME seems fine) down to 12% from the current 14% (IRL 7-8%, FM23 9-10%) would be massive IMO and be a perfect middle ground. By altering the conversion rate, that isn't necessarily nerfing finishing (even though it wouldn't be nerfing) it could just be by making GK actually useful! I'd also still be interested to see if moral/confidence is too important when conceding a goal as I do notice goal gluts occur after the first goal.
  19. Whilst the premier league is still over consistently, it's more the lower leagues (so 2nd tier, 3rd tier etc) where the issue is exacerbated. (Full table on the bug link) For clarity, the above picture in the championship is 3 seasons in, and after 40 games... so still 6 left to play and it's already at +467 goals for the season compared to the average IRL.
  20. I got defensive, low deep blocks with a hoofball/ target forward working really well on FM23
  21. I don't really think that's worth devoting any time on tbh. Names are names.
  22. It does when it's the majority of games for all teams over a season. Stop looking at the scorelines (yes crazy ones happen, seeing a 0-0 and a 1-0 however shouldn't make your mouth drop which it does in FM24) and look at the total amount of goals
