    So do you want to introduce subjectivity into it because that's the alternative. Only offside if ahead and gaining an advantage?

    The "semi-automatic" graphic - is that because the ball sensor picks up a rapid acceleration so they know the moment it's kicked? Because the graphic doesn't show the ball so we don't actually know if it is from the correct time.

    Plus side is that radio has Tim Vickery, surprised some TV channel hasn't utilised him yet for South American analysis given that Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay often go deep.

    Apparently he is a respected documentary maker now and just does the tournament stuff for ITV. Boulting also says he's by far the best at those features nobody cares about before the game
