  1. Do you mind posting a picture of your tactic? It sounds a lot like your tactic is similar to Dyche Everton right now.
  2. Hey, I was wondering what are the TI's for the tactic and if you have any PI's too?
  3. Just wondering what kind of TI's and PI's you have for your tactic? I'd like to give it a try myself.
  4. Just wondering where did you find this pass map from?
  5. Just wondering how would you make a pressing trap between the striker and the CM in FM like how Athletico does?
  6. I've been really intrigued by West Ham this season and how they've been playing. This is just a general attempt at how they've been playing lately. Let me know what you guys think about it. The interesting thing is that in possession, they play like a 433 with the CAM coming beside the BBM and the DLP dropping down to defense. They also defend in a 4141 and I'm not sure how to do that with a 4231 formation.
  7. I was wondering if you can do a short segment on using an IWB on a 433? I'm really curious to see what's your philosophy on it and how you would set it up?
  8. Have your tried a NFB than a FB on defend? I feel like at times the FB on defend still moves up too much
  9. Ok I've changed up a few things but still am missing the "width" principle. I just don't think I have the right players suited to a "Winger role on support" right now so ill definitely find one next transfer window. So the basic Idea here is that the IWB on defense slots in nicely next to the DM while the FB(D) stays back to make a back three with the two CB. In terms of Width, I decided to add a Carrello to add some width to the left side of the pitch. Its kind of what I've been envisioning but I'm not 100% sure how much width Carrello provides so I'll give this a test and let you guys know
  10. Ok thank you very much sorry I haven't read the whole thread before I posted this but I made a few changes. I made the left mezzala a BBM midfielder, and the HB a DM (D) or Anchor im still seeing which one is better. I'm not too sure what to do on the left side because I really want to use my LB as a IWB I might make the IW into a traditional Winger on support. Will change some TI to make it less offensive although I do like my Gegenpress team. What do you think is the bare mininum for TI in a gegenpress fast counter system?
  11. Hey, I've been trying to replicate modern 433 tactics we see from top managers today like Arteta, Klopp etc., and added my own flair to it. I was wondering if you have any suggestions on improvements or opinions. Also, I'm playing as Burton Albion so a low-tier club so I don't have the best quality players to make this tactic truly shine some advice on changing it for a lower-league team would be amazing.
  12. Can you show the Team Instructions and Player Instructions for the tactics? Are they all different or the same, just different formations? I also feel like with Pedri drifting too wide as an IW-S, you can train him with the trait to cut with the ball inside from the right so he can dribble in narrower when he has the ball and add the sit narrower PI on the position. I'm not sure if you already did all of that but lmk what you think.
  13. That's really cool do you mind positing a picture of the tactic? I would love to take a look at it and see if I can replicate it in my save
  14. That's awesome I was wondering if it's possible for it to work in a 433? I also was wondering if you can show a picture of the passing map for this team. I'm really curious to see what its like
  15. So recently I have seen many high-level managers such as Pep Guardiola, Arteta, De Zerbi, and Xavi implement something called the "box" formation in their tactics. I'm not sure where to find some pictures or videos but it seems that some of these managers would use two midfielders in a 433 or 4231 to create a box-passing shape with its two defenders to dominate possession and to overload the midfield. Heres a good video made by Statman dave on how the box works. I was wondering if it is possible if something like this can be created in FM23?
  16. Thanks I just realized a cool trick to do with the wingbacks. You put them as FB(s) with the PI's stay wide when team has the ball and then when player has the ball to cut narrower. That way it stimulates how the wingbacks start out wide and then cut in once they have the ball like what they do in real life
  17. Thank You everyone for all your inputs and suggestions!! Decided to change the tactic around based off of everyone's comments. I changed both WB into WB(s) with "Sit Narrow" PI on both of them so they can potentially invert. Not sure if that's the best idea for them or to put them on IWB(s). Changed Cullen's role to a DLP after playing him as a CAR for a while. I just think that DLP helps Cullen drop deep to collect the ball like he actually does some games but in others, he likes to stay a little bit forward which would be better from him to be a CAR. The biggest change I've noticed is changing the mentality to Balanced instead of Positive. Balanced keeps the ball from progressing to quickly and I realized it prevents players hoofing the ball long which Kompany doesn't like of course. You do play at an absolute snails pace as a team and wouldn't recommend it when your a goal down or trying to get a goal. I'm not sure if Tella plays as an IF on attack or support but since he just got a hat trick yesterday, maybe he's better off in attack. I am also experimenting with Cork playing as an Anchor instead of a DM since it seems like he plays deeper than I thought. Let me know what you guys think? I realized that Kompany likes to change his tactics based off of the opposition and the player he utilizes for example, Tella was played like n IF while Benson normally plays like a Winger. Let me know what you guys think!
  18. alright sounds good. How far does the Carrilero go up the pitch?
  19. hmmm that's a good point! I'm not sure which midfielder role that would make a player move forward off ball maybe BBM?
  20. I will let you know I haven't fully tested it out yet. However, there are still some tweaks that im working with such as the attacking width, tempo, and passing. I'm trying to get that 60% average possession just as Burnley does. Let me know what other observations you have seen. It's awesome to get some opinions from Burnley fans!
  21. I see then maybe I should change him into a RPM or add "Dribble More" to hi DLP role.
  22. Hey guys I've decided to attempt to recreate Vincent Kompany's Burnley tactic since I haven't seen anyone trying to recreate it so far. This is just my interpretation of the tactic based off of research and I would love to see everyone's opinions and suggestions on ways to make it more "Kompany" like. I'm not 100% sure if Kompany likes to start in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 but normally the attacking shape is a 4-2-3-1 so I've made two different tactics to try to emulate the attacking shape. Tactic #1 Tactic #2 Now for some questions and thoughts I have for these tactics. Role of the striker I think Jay Rodriguez plays as a DLF-A but I could be wrong Role of Jack Cork I think DM-D makes the most sense but I can see him being put as a Anchor but I'm not sure. Role of Cullen, I think its best if he plays as a DLP on support so he can drop deep and make that back 5 passing square with the defense and Cork while being able to progress the ball up front. However, I can see a RPM working for him also but idk if that's how he plays in IRL. Defense TI's : I made the defense Team Instructions very basic because I don't really know how Burnley defends I'd love to know more about it from you guys. In Possession TI's : I think you can turn off be more expressive and dribble less but I'm currently experimenting with it to see if it can create the high passing, possession based tactic Kompany wants Let me know what you guys think? Lets make this tactic together!!
