  1. Junior Coaching We eventually get the board to agree increasing the junior coaching as well!
  2. Youth Recruitment We havent signed anyone from our intakes yet so we really need to improve this so that we can start getting more home grown players in.
  3. Improvements With the Euro Conference money coming in it enables us to start improving our training facilities! More importantly we were able to get the board to agree professional status from next season which is great!
  4. Euro Conference Qualifiers First Qualifier We drew Belarusian side Shakhter Soligorsk in the first qualifier. A good draw in the first leg enabled us to bring them back to our place and comfortably beat them 4-1! Second Qualifier It was off to Hungary next. We beat them 3-2 at home before they had a ridiculous 3 players sent off in the return leg which meant we thumped them 6-1! Third Qualifier It was Czech Republic next. We won away from home 3-2 before a very tight 3-3 draw at home seen us scrape through! Fourth Qualifier Finally it was to Ukraine to see if we could make the group stage! We won 3-0 at home and probably went into the 2nd leg thinking it was over. We found ourselves 3-0 down in 20mins and hanging on. Thankfully a penalty on the stroke of half time saw us make the group stage!
  5. End Of Season Results A really good season for us. We made loads of transfers this season to cope with the step up and initially at the start of the season the cohesion wasnt there but midway through we began to click which cemented our position in the top 6 and the Championship Group where we went undefeated which was a big confidence booster. League Table We ended up in a very impressive 4th place which led us to the European playoffs! European Playoffs In all honesty we were going out in the first game against Coleraine but they imploded getting 2 men sent off in 2 second half minutes which enabled us to finally wake up and get 2 late goals! The game against Glentoran we were much better but missing the firepower of top scorer McEvoy who was ineligible to play against his parent club. It went all the way to penalties where we won 6-5! This means we go into the Euro Conference qualifiers! Irish Cup Another run to the quarter final was ended by league winners Linfield! Bet McLean Cup Comfortable first round for us but our backup team couldnt handle Coleraine in the next round. County Antrim Shield Another disappointing showing in this cup where our inability to kill the game off came back to haunt us! Player Review - James Barnes One of many summer signings Barnes came in with solid current ability and really good potential. He played 35 times scoring 3 goals and getting 8 assists. Player Of The Season - Declan Dunne Not often a keeper gets player of the season but he was simply sensational for us. Average rating of 7.20 in the 22 games he played! Young Player Of The Season - Rio McEvoy We were a bit short on quality strikers so we loaned in McEvoy from Glentoran. His finishing stat alone at this level should ensure he gets a few! He ended up with 20 goals and 7 assists in 35 games! We will try and get him back next year!
  6. End Of Season Review Results The change in quality in divisions wasnt that great and with the improvements we made we were sitting as 4th favourites. We had some great form throughout the season mixed with some bad runs of losses. We did end up finishing 3rd and beat 2nd place Ballinamallard in the first promotion playoff which meant we had to take Dungannon on in the promotion/relegation match. A great performance in the first leg meant we took a 4-2 lead going to their place. We were under the cosh and were heading to defeat until an 85th minute penalty saw us through! League Table Promotion! We lost so many games this season but the fact we didnt draw too much enabled us to pick up some vital victories which made the difference in the end! Irish Cup A good run here to the quarter final but Carrick are simply too good for us currently. We did however take a Premier League scalp in Glenavon! Bet McLean Cup I don't mind that they beat us here because we beat them when it really mattered at the end of the season! County Antrim Shield Simply no match here! Player Review - Robbie Norton Currently playing Robbie at the base of our midfield where he got an impressive 7 goals and 1 assist! Player Of The Season - Sam Cochrane He is the reason we are going up. Top scorer in the league this season and grabbed 27 goals and 8 assists! Young Player Of The Season - Shea Curran The youngster made the right back position his own. He got 2 assists and an impressive 7.08 average rating!
  7. Youth Intake Preview We finally get our first youth intake preview!
  8. End Of Season Results With the transfers we adjusted and went more for current ability rather than potential and it really paid off. We were much more consistent this year and whilst still having a very young team the better all round ability really told. League Table We win the league by 3pts. As you can see a lot of teams are taking points off each other and Bangor where actually leading for most of the season until a Spring capitulation! Irish Cup Big money local rivals Larne knocked us out although their former player did get a goal against them! Bet McLean Cup Out at the first round to league rivals Armagh in a tight game! Steel & Sons Cup A poor showing here. Comfortably past lower league Killyleagh before somehow not beating Donegal Celtic despite dominating! Intermediate Cup A great run here beating some local league rivals but Armagh where the better team in the final! Transfers Lots of players in and a load released. As mentioned before we went with more current ability than potential here! Player Review - Niall Fielding Only joined in January but a very solid centre half for this level! Played well thus far! Player Of The Season - Matthew Swann Our main goal getter this season with 14 goals and also an impressive 8 assists in 23 (5) games! Young Player Of The Season - Kye Livingstone Signed from local rivals Larne after he was released he has come in and injected some pace on the right hand side. 9 goals and 6 assists from the wing is a great return!
  9. Haha. I think I will have played against most levels to be fair. When I was younger before I was injured I was playing against teams like Larne and Carrick etc.
  10. Season Review Results It was always going to be a tough season with us being 1000-1 to win the title. The team above us where 80-1 which shows the gap between us and the rest. We only had 6 players at the club so signed a load of free transfers who are currently not great for this level just to ensure we had a team to put out. I tried to bring players in with good potential but in hindsight its probably better to go with experience and current ability rather than potential until we are progressing up the leagues. League Table We didnt finish bottom which is a plus point but only won 2 games all season. Thankfully no relegation at this level so hopefully a better performance next season! Irish Cup A decent run here was only ended by one of the big Belfast teams in Glentoran. We pushed them all the way and only lost by a single goal! Bet McLean Cup They were too good for us on the day and 2-1 really flattered us! Steel & Sons Cup We played well in these games comfortably getting through the first 2 games and where the better team against Immaculata but couldnt make our chances count! Intermediate Cup One big win followed by a loss to a Premier League sides reserve team! Player Review - Joe Bell One of the many young players we brought in on frees and he has been one of the better performers. Solid mentals for this level and still room to grow! He got 2 goals and 2 assists in 23 (1) appearances! Player Of The Season - Ross Craig Our main man up front and he pretty much saved us from finishing bottom of the league. He grabbed an impressive 13 goals in 24 games along with 4 assists! Young Player Of The Season - Joel Devlin Another of the young players we brought in to play in the holding midfield position. The bravery, determination and work rate really stand out at this level. Hope he can continue to progress and become a big player for us!
  11. The Save This will be a one club save. I have used the editor to move my local club, Wellington Rec, into the the lowest playable league in Northern Ireland and this is where I will be staying! The only other change I have made is changing them from an Amateur club (even though all players are still on Amateur contracts) to a Semi-Professional club which aligns with the rest of the league. The Club Facilities at this level are quite poor as expected! But hopefully we can improve this as we go along! The club in itself is quite a renowned amateur club in Northern Ireland and are awaiting a grant to redo their clubhouse and pitches up. For those interested plans are below: I am actually involved at the club as well and manage their u12 team so this save really should start to get me a but more! The Objectives To become the biggest club in N.I and qualify for Europe!
