  1. Great choice of club. Even though Inter are my Italian team, i've always held a soft spot for Fiorentina. Loved watching them back in the day, Batistuta being one of my favourites, Rui Costa as well. Keep up the good work.
  2. Really enjoying your story, it's given me the inspiration to do a SAF challenge myself now. Keep it up.
  3. Understandable I know the eight they've lost since the curse has been a mixture of both. Going great so far though, enjoying the career.
  4. Is the end goal for you, Champions League? Or will any european trophy, break the curse?
  5. Well done domestically. I'm sure you'll bring home the Champions League soon enough.
  6. Goodluck with this. Will enjoy reading it.
  7. Yeah, was confused at first with that. But i think it's a bug, as the first one was the F.A. Cup Semi-Final.
  8. Champions League Quarter-Final 1st Leg In a drab contrast against the best team in Germany and one of the best in the world. As Tottenham kept it cautious with the intent of having a chance in the return leg. Only a Thomas Muller goal seperates the two teams, heading into the 2nd leg. Champions League Quarter-Final 2nd Leg With just a goal in the game, we came right out the blocks and Harry Kane gave us the lead on the night on ten minutes. And the attacks didn't relent, as Heung-Min Son netted the second, giving us the lead on the night and in the tie. Torres gave Bayern a way back into the tie, but Kulusevski sent the fans into raptures with a third. Holding onto the game and one foot in the semi-final, and with almost the last kick of the game, Evanilson got the goal back to put the tie back to all square and send the game into extra time. After a tense and cagey 30 minutes as neither team could find the breakthrough and into penalties it went. With the scores 3-2, Kimmich misses, giving Spurs the advantage. Rabiot scored the winning goal, as Spurs marched on into the semi-final against Manchester City.
  9. In a grduge match against local rivals, Chelsea. With Chelsea a massive 17 points behind their hated rivals, they needed a win to help appease the fans in a disappointing season. Taking an extremely early lead thanks to a looping Trevor Chalobah header. And the game really came into life a minute after half time, as Reece James was shown a straight red before we ran riot in the last twenty three minutes, as goals from Kane, Zaha & Hojlund. With Manchester City beating local rivals and fellow title challengers, Manchester United. It gave us some breathing space over United at least. Now we've got to hold of the juggernaut that is Manchester City.
  10. An ordinary February started with a tough trip to Old Trafford. We were leading before United turned the game on it's head, before Bowen scored a beautiful equalizer to take it back to WHL. At home to Blackburn, Kane scored, then a minute later Blackburn equalized. Before Zaha and Kane made sure of the win late on in the game. Welcoming Frieburg from the Bundesliga, in the first leg fo the Champions League round of 16 knockouts. Frieburg were struggling domestically, sitting in 16th and two points of the relegation spot. But they proved more than capable as they came back into the match and grabbed a draw in the last half an hour of the game. And only a win will do in the return leg. A top of the table clash against fellow title challengers, Liverpool at Anfield. Where we've struggled all the time, and it was no different in this game as Keita and Diaz put the game beyond our reach. The last match in February was the F.A Cup replay against Manchester United. And this time we put them to the sword, with two goals from Kane and Kulusevski who added the 3rd and final goal. March Moving into March full of confidence, and a London derby in the F.A Cup 5th Round, as we welcomed Championship side West Ham to WHL. And it took until ET for Kane to come of the bench and put us in the quarter-finals. Another away trip to Merseyside, but this time we came out with all three points, as goals from Zaha and Kane sealed another three points as we kept up the heat in the title race. Midfield won the day, as Sheffield United once again came to town. And like last time, a 2-0 win was enough. As Rice and Lo Celso goals, were enough to keep the race alive. A trip to Frieburg beckoned, as their domestic troubles were still there. Scott, Kulusevski and Rice made light work of them in the end. But in dispatching Frieburg, we had another trip to Germany in our future. Heading to Villa Park, who were still riding high in the league and just defeated Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield. But from the first minute we controlled and dominated the game, as a Harry Kane penalty and a Rabiot thunderbolt right on half time, gave us a much needed boost with another three points in the league. Up next in the league was a home game against Bournemouth, and like against Villa, goals from Kane and Rabiot sealed another 2-0 victory. A quarter final of the F.A Cup against an unlikely opponent in Rotherham. Who in the 5th round, surprisingly defeated Arsenal. And like against Arsenal, Rotherham proved more than capable as it took two goals in extra time from Danjuma and Max Aarons to book their place in the F.A Cup semi-final and one step closer to potential silverware. I think Champions League football is more or less certain next season, which was my number one target. But i'm not letting myself think of potentially unsurping Manchester City as Champions of England. Taking one game at a time. The final two months throws up some cracking matches. Really looking forward to the Bayern matches. Especially after all the crap they're pulling on Kane IRL. The first match against Brighton is actually the F.A Cup Semi-Final. But we've got a tricky run-in in the league. So i think taking home the title might be a little too early in the save for us.
  11. With the race for the title, european football and Premier League survival, every point matters as we head into 2024 and the last five months of the season. And up first was a visit from Crystal Palace. In what can only be described as complete and utter domination, as a Harry Kane hat-trick, further goals from Kulusevski, Rice and another from Scott gave us an emphatic victory. The football we've been playing has been sublime at times. Being in confident mood, playing great football, and another London derby against Fulham. But unfortunately we could only come away with a point, despite the early goal from Kane and continued attacks throughout. Fulham clinced the equalizer with their only shot on target, which was a disappointing pill to swallow. Entertaining Sheffield United in the F.A Cup was a one sided affair. And although we scored four times, only two counted and both were own goals. United can't have too much to complain about, as they were completely dominated. They were resolute in their defending, but eventually they crumbled. Welcoming Manchester City to town was always going to be a tough game, but a special goal from Declan Rice gave us the lead. And we continued looking dangerous throughout, until Porro got sent off again. And even though Richarlison came on as sub a few minutes prior, i had to bring him off and replace him with a right back to make sure we didn't lose. Eventually the extra man paid off for City, but we managed to keep it level for the remainder of the match. Heading over to Stoke, who were adrift at the bottom of the table, could've proved to be a potential banana skin for us. But we came through with flying colours as we destroyed Stoke, with goals from Kane, Son, Bowen, Tielemans and Skriniar. And after hitting another team for six this month, confidence was high at White Hart Lane as Southampton who were struggling still in 19th place. And despite the domination against them, it was just a solitary goal from Harry Kane again to seal all three points to keep us in touch in the top 4 as we came to the end of January. Was forced into a couple of signings as Zaha was on international duty for the entire month for the ANC. Lo Celso and Kulusevski were also on the medical table with injuries. Went for Bynoe-Gittens on loan to help out, then saw Danjuma on the TL for £10.25m. Which six months ago we almost paid £27m for him, but decided not to. And we had quite a few unhappy with their playing time, so sent them out on loan with the hope of getting more money for them in the summer. And even though i only had £12m left in the budget, i agreed a £91m deal for Jude Bellingham on deadline day, only because Arsenal put a same bid in for him and i didn't want them getting him. And it got delayed, then cancelled, so neither of us got him. Still a huge amount behind the likes of United, Chelsea & City. But i think we're competing well in comparison. But most likely in the summer will be doing more selling, than buying. So that should go down. Safe to say Stoke can plan for life back in the Championship again next season. Personally hope Southampton, Leicester, Brighton or Palace join them as they've got some good players i would love to grab if they asking prices are lowered. And despite spending a few games on the sidelines, Harry is still in with a shout of the golden boot. But it's hard with Haaland scoring the bulk of City's goals. Eddie Howe has lost his job at Newcastle, being replaced with Tata Martino. And it's lovely to see Brentford, Villa and Everton disrupting the top half of the table. Might be leading at the moment, but two games with dropped points, could see me 5th. All in all, we're progressing well.
  12. In the first of a huge two months for Tottenham, we came out on top against mid-table Bournemouth and Harry Kane once again came up trumps. Nothing but a win would do against Lazio for us to proceed into the knockouts. But two goals in the first five minutes, gave Tottenham a much needed edge for the rest of the game, and continued it through to the final whistle finishing as runners up in the group. Our match against Villa, was one for the ages. Back and forth between two teams who at the time, were seperated by two points. In the end, Villa succumbed and couldn't claw it back. Another trip to Yorkshire, ended in another three points, and another 94th mintue winner, this time from Hojlund who was stepping into Kane's shoes quite easily. Carabao Cup Quater Finals and a North London derby and they overturned our 2-1 lead to advance into the Semi's against Newcastle. Another day, another game, as we welcomed high flying Everton to White Hart Lane. Another Harry Kane goal gives us all three points against a stubborn Everton. Despite being in good form, during the month. Visiting 19th place Southampton could've proved tricky, but another two goals from Harry Kane and two from English wonderkid, Alex Scott sent Spurs back to North London happy and looking forward to the new year.
  13. Bottom club Stoke, came to town. Ended up going back home with their tails tucked between their legs. Kane returns with two goals. Another away trip to one of the 'Big 6' ended in defeat yet again as City were too strong for us. An away trip to Porto was up next and we needed to make sure we didn't at least lose. And thankfully with a new change in tactics, mirroring Ange's style. And it got of to a flying start with a win and all three points to kick start our Champions League campaign. Once again dominated a match, but it took a late, late goal from Bowen to give us the three points. Our first of two trips to Leeds in four days. Hojlund was in great form and put us into the quarter finals. And our second game in four days against Leeds proved fruitful as we picked up another win, but this time in the Premier League. A nice few days in Yorkshire is over. After dispatching Porto at their own place, i was hoping for the same outcome, but Taremi put our hopes to qualify in doubt. In a packed schedule, hated rivals Chelsea cross over London. And in a tight, edgy affair, it was Bowen's winner for the second time in a month that gave Tottenham bragging rights. "I hate Arsenal because it's in my DNA. I hate Chelsea because i'm a human being." After the International break, Spurs headed over to West London and faced off against a Brentford team going very strongly in the league. And it showed on the day as Brentford ran out 2-0 winners. And to finish of the month it was do or die game in Bulgaria as we kept our faint hopes of qualifying for the Champions League knockouts. With a comprehensive victory against Ludogorets. Even our keeper, Diogo Costa got an assist. The tactical shift seems to have worked. Playing like how i actually want us to, mirroring that of Big Ange's style.
  14. Mainly like seeing where certain teams are and what kind of saves i can do. And plus playing 38 games with Dier as my starting CB gives me nightmares.
  15. "Got through quite abit, so once i catch up will do updates two months at a time." First up in September was Leicester, who after going a goal behind, we ended up demolishing. And new signing, Rice scoring on his debut as we ran out comprehensive winners. And then we followed that up with a shocking display away to Woolwich, and compounded it with Porro getting sent off. Arsenal getting the bragging in North London is a bitter pill to swallow. And it didn't get any better the following mid-week game, as Lazio hit two goals early to put the game to bed. A tactical shift paid up in the end, as we ran out 3-0 winners against Fulham. And despite the domination, i wasn't sure the goals would come in the end. Despite once again dominating the game, we struggled to beat Wolves, who are now in the Championship after relegation last season. And it took a late goal from Heung-Min Son to seal the tie in the Carabao Cup. Back to the Premier League and another London derby, as we headed south of the river to take on Crystal Palace, who made things hard for us. A Hojlund goal sealed all three points, as Kane was still out nursing an injury. Our second Champions League game ended in defeat, as Ludogorets came to North London and took all three points, leaving us on zero points after two games and an uphill battle presenting itself.
  16. Thanks. After watching us against West Ham the other day, i've tried replicating his tactics to a degree.
  17. Mad again like the in's, nine were youngsters in the reserves. And another eight out on loan. So evens itself out lol.
  18. I did indeed. Didn't pay attention at the time, but now you bring it up But in fairness, it's needed in my eyes. And three are only on loan and won't be back next season. Two were already pre-arranged, Kulu and Porro. And eight were youngsters, with only Scott and Diomande playing. The rest are either out on loan, or in reserves.
  19. After several weeks of trying to shift the deadwood, it all began to fall into place. Some of the major ones i needed, i managed to get in on free transfers. Brought in a couple of youngsters on frees as well. And even a couple i didn't need, just so i could sell them next summer and bring some extra funds in. As i'm sure ENIC will stifle me on the transfer budget front. A few of my signings were done on installments, otherwise i wouldn't have been able to sign them. But obviously that will impact future transfer windows. But they were what i needed right now. Declan Rice and Diogo Costa were my major ones. Costa was all up front. And when originally quoted on Rice's price earlier in the summer, they wanted £90-100 million from us. Deadline day managed to get him for less than half that, so win-win. I think i've addressed all our weak positions in this window and i'm very happy with the depth and quality of our squad. I think over the next few transfer windows, it'll mostly be signings for the future. Started well in the league thus far. Besides that defeat to United, which at one point i was down to nine men, thanks to injuries. With the whole sub rules, even though i hadn't made all 5, it wouldn't allow me to bring anyone else on as the time for the final subs had passed. Which is a stupid rule. Good Champions League group, which i'm confident of topping. My aim this season is to win a cup of some sort, and get champions league again, but obviously improve on what we did last year.
  20. Yeah always the way. When i saw they were bottom and we had to play them, i knew what was coming. Then saw we had City, i was like, great. And even though they scored at WHL, they've yet to pick up any points, so aiming to keep that up.
  21. With that squad, i'd thought you'd be running away with the Championship. But least you're on target for automatic promotion which is the main thing.
  22. Finally someone doing a save with the "I Nerazzurri". My second team, love them. So will be a keen reader of this one.
  23. Five wins out of five so far. Into 4th place, and now away to a London rival who sits bottom of the league. What could possibly go wrong? They raced into a 4-1 lead, when i decided f**k it and went all out. Pulled one back, then straight away they got another one. Late in the game we pulled two back to give them a fright, but it gave them a glimmer of hope in the battle for relegation. And made us looking over our shoulders. After that soul destroying loss to West Ham. We welcomed league leaders, Manchester City. Who could win the title at ours. Something which i didn't want happening. And never want happening again after them lot already doing it twice at our place. And thankfully, we got off to a rip roaring start with three goals in the first 11 minutes. But with 80 minutes left to play and it being City, i knew we weren't safe just yet. But with Porro's goal against his former team, i knew it'd take a monumental cock up to lose it from here. And we saw the game out, giving Liverpool hope to chase down Manchester City. Away to Newcastle, who although were sitting in 11th place. They were still tricky customers, but with morale high after the Manchester City win. We eventually brushed them aside to finalise our place in the Top 4 and we could start looking forward to Champions League football next term. Last game of the season, and it being at home, we were confident. Although it took some time to break Fulham down, we comfortably walked away with the three points, finishing the season on a high. I was originally thinking of letting Richarlison go, but after this game and the formation we play, i might well keep him. But it's his wages at 175k a week which is causing the problem. Unfortunately, we couldn't chase Arsenal down. So for the first time in seven seasons, Arsenal finished above us. Now i've got to restart from zero to try and make Tottenham the biggest team in North London and hope they never finish above us again. Levy hasn't given us much to strengthen the squad, as it needs a complete refresh. And even with that money, i've got no room to buy anyone as the wages are over budget. So i've resorted to free transfers and hope to get the ones that have a year left on their contracts, out of the club to free up funds and wages.
  24. With six games to go, i'm trying to chase down Arsenal as well, but my main aim is getting Champions League football next term. And although it's not my ideal formation, it seem's to be working wonders at the moment. And with seemingly easier games for us, it gives us a chance to assert ourselves. And due to injuries, suspensions and lack of quality depth in the squad. I've had to play certain players in strange positions, like Hojbjerg as a CAM versus Leeds and Forest. Like i said, trying to chase Arsenal down, but i think it'll be too much in a short space of time. But now i've got a nice gap over Man United, even though they've got a game in hand. Just means i have to match their results or better them and Champions League football is back at White Hart Lane. It's also pleasing to see West Ham rooted at the foot of the table, and we head to the London Stadium next.
