I think Majer is a late bloomer. He could sneak in through the back door to a top club and be great there. Basically the same what Modrić did, but surely not that good. Šutalo could also be a top player. Already a first 11 player for me. Erlić is also basically unknown to non-Serie A fans, but he's really good. A good tall defender with very high pace. Sučić is a guaranteed top club player in a year or two. Wanted by Liverpool already. We have some fantastic talents back home as well that are too early to know yet, but the potential is huge, etc.

For those comparing 2018 and 2022 Croatia, I'd say that if you compare a collective of players, this is a 100% percent better balanced team. More overall quality. BUT, we had more world class players back then. We had some rather average players mixed with world class midfielders and strikers. Bar Modrić, we miss the likes of Rakitić and Mandžukić who were winning CL finals for their teams. But we have more talent and better future outlook than we had in 2018. I'm 99% certain that some of these players that have their stocks priced low, will be considered as world class 4 years from now. We have a well balanced set of old + young players.

Playing Lovren instead of Šutalo is ridiculous tbh. Šutalo is basically Gvardiol with less physical power and more brains. Both great at pushing the defense up, monsters for pressing football. And he plays Lovren who is everything these are not. He sits at the ball all the time and we can't do that more often. Gvardiol is IMO one of the best CBs in the world. And he's 20. His potential is to be a legend in the making. Never seen something like him in Croatian football.

I didn't take Morocco that seriously until I've checked their squad before our game. Just look where and how their players are playing. It's a pretty stacked team, especially defensively.

Yeah, they're pretty much like a solid European team.

Morocco looks like the best African team on the tournament. Not only do they have good players, but they're tactically spot on.

This was like the UEFA Europa Conference League... Doesn't have to be quality to be entertaining
