  1. Brønshøj BK - Youth Intake Season 17 Not the greatest of intakes from a depth perspective, but good personalities at the top. I'm really hoping the top 2 can carry the class. Still sticking with the same HOYD, might look to see if better options are available at the end of the year. Fuglsang 17a, aside from having a great name, looks to be a well-rounded striker option Personality isn't great, but I'm hoping his potential is for real and can develop into an elite talent. Rizvanovic 17b is my favorite of the class. Both footed, Resolute personality, and 18 flair. Looks like a great option on cutting in on the wing or playing directly through the center as a SS(A). We have a ton of wingers at the club now, and here's another one. Dam 17c looks to have a good base to develop, unfortunately his potential doesn't seem all that high. Similarly, Vindahl 17d doesn't have the highest potential, but does have some fun attributes. 16 dribbling is fun, but 5 flair is not. Also he's extremely short. Did someone say another winger? Johansen 17e has the highest floor of them all, but the lowest ceiling. And Kehling 17f has the Driven personality to develop, which will be needed since he has low CA and low PA.
  2. As expected, we had to sell him as teams we're going in for him on a free. A very good deal all things considered. Get a huge chunk of cash up front, plus half of his next sale. Also, our backup GK was the subject of a bidding war between Benfica and Milan. I wasn't planning on selling him, but the offer was too good to refuse since he only had 4 star potential, and has 2-3 younger options behind him. It means our finances are pretty sure secure forever, without even making the Champions League. Never had this kind of money before for a team without the Champions League or the Premier League.
  3. I'm not sure either, but I'm guessing it heavily weights performance and not potential ability. What other club is playing 17-18 year olds as much as I am and letting them get good ratings? Especially when I know those 3 guys aren't the 3 highest PA guys in the world.
  4. Brønshøj BK - Review Season 16 Another solid season although we ended up a bit unlucky. We finished with one more point than last season, but finished in 5th (despite havng the second highest goal difference). It would have seen us qualify for the ECL again, but AGF ruined our day by winning the league cup and taking the last spot in Europe. With that being said, we struggled a bit from the increased match load this season, so I don't mind a season off from the ECL in order to focus on the league and getting into the Champions League ideally. We ended up making a run to the semis of the ECL before deservedly falling to Real Sociedad. Unfortunately, I think this was the last season playing with Hjulmand 11a. He's been happy at the club for the past season, but won't sign a new deal since our squad isn't strong enough. His contract expires next December, so I will look to cash in on him before teams can sign him on a free. Every one else is contracted past this season, so we can reject all the bids that come in without too much thought. Key players: Our wage spend more than doubled from last year, but we still turned a narrow profit on the year, and that's with no player sales. The board finally let us upgrade the youth facilities once, now to wait another few years to get that option again. No transfers in, and a few loans out.
  5. Great job @Barnsley! England is a slog for sure. Wow @glennuk, a rare Model Citizen, take good care of him
  6. Of course the NXGN is a bit silly with how it's calculated, but it's amusing we have the top 3 players. Also amusing that Sharbini 12i was last on the list 2 years ago, missed the list last year, and is now 3rd. Everyone is contracted for a minimum of 2 seasons, although Rami 12b has a $10M release clause that could be hit. It was a choice of accepting that or having his contract expire this year.
  7. Brønshøj BK - Youth Intake Season 16 Another solid intake with lots of depth, but few clear stars. That's ok since, at this stage, the club needs depth to compete in multiple competitions year-in-year-out. Another GK... I wish he was taller and can shoot, but there's a chance we lose both our AMCs next summer so I'll take the depth. Another option for the wings who should develop well, has all the good signs. We only have 1 DL at the club, so a solid rotation option was desperately needed. Doesn't have high potential, but looks solid already. We're pretty deep in the midfield at the moment, but if he develops, I won't complain. Am going to retrain as a DR since he's right footed and has 15 crossing. Next 3 have little potential, but I want to stock my youth teams with some depth and good personalities.
  8. Tough go of it @DazRTaylor Hope Donelon can turn into a star sooner rather than later
  9. I've had to sell so many players over the past few years that I'm at the first time with no angry players for maybe 4 seasons. Hjulmand 11a kicked up a fuss, got transfer listed on request, then got over it. He won't sign a new deal and will leave on a free next year most likely, but I'll take my victories. Luckily we managed to have Nedergaard 11d get over his anger and we immediately inked him for 5 years with a massive wage. All our stars aside from Hjulmand 11a are contracted for at least the next 2 years since this year we increased our reputation/had enough success that they all would renew deals without a release clause. (Don't pay attention to the recent form we had 5 matches in 11 days )
  10. A new kid on the block winning some awards. We needed a true goalscorer up top and Johansen 13e spent last season on loan in the second tier, scoring 9 times across the season. This year he has stepped into the first team and has drawn interest from the big boys. Luckily, we have him locked down for 3+3 years.
  11. Brønshøj BK - Review Season 15 We have completed the watershed moment, we are now an established club in Denmark. We're still a step behind the big 3 of Kobenhavn, Midtjylland, and Randers, but we're on the level of Brondby and Nordsjaelland and comfortably better than the bottom half of the league. Although even then, we pciked up a draw against Kobenhavn, two wins against Midtjylland, and a win against Randers throughout the course of the season. We ended up ahead of Brondby on goal difference and qualified for the Conference League again. This year we flamed out in the qualifying rounds when the board expected us to make the group stage, so hoping to improve on that. Our depth took a hit throughout the year as a few key players left and the youth didn't quite fill the gaps. They did kick on towards the end of the season and I expect them to get runs in the first team next season. Another metric of how established we are is that 3 of our players are heading to the 2038 World Cup. Banza 13a and Rami 12b are playing for the DRC and Morocco respectively, then Lauritzen 10c got the call up to the Danish national side! A smattering of 7 other players received call ups to the Danish team thoughout the season as well. We now should be third in line in term of youth recruitment, as us, Kobenhavn, and Midtjylland are the only clubs with maxed out recruitment. Key players: We're still stuck unable to level up the youth facilities, but we're in a very secure financial position now mainly from player sales. We still don't come near to selling out our stadium, so I don't see the board messing with our healthy bank balance quite yet. It does feel like we're entering the window to actually have a shot at completing the challenge now, just need to string together a few more good intakes, build our reputation enough to hang on to our best players, and then just win. No transfers in, and we talked about fleecing Napoli for Lovgren Larsen 11g, Dortmund meeting the release clause for Nymand Sjolander 12g, and how the board accepted a bid from Bayern for Toft Kristiansen 12a. Other transfer of note was our club captain and striker who had 10 goals combined the past 2 seasons wanted to leave, so I sold him to OB, who then got relegated.
  12. That whole intake was remarkable. Those two, plus our starting winger/striker Knudsen 11b, our other starting striker/winger Wurtz 11c, our club captain Brandt 11e, and the guy we flipped to Napoli for $14M Lovgren Larsen 11g.
  13. And of course the NXGM list right after the intake. Egeris Paarup 13c is under contract for 3+3 years, Hjulmand 11a is for a year and a half, and Andersen Nedergaard 11d is for 2 years.
  14. Brønshøj BK - Youth Intake Season 15 Decent intake with no obvious standout players. I think this is mainly an effect of our squad improving significantly the last few seasons. Hopefully the top guys can develop smoothly and oush for the first team soon, since our squad is pretty depleted after the last two transfer windows. Don't know if this is just an FM thing, but we've seemingly produced a top GK prospect every intake. We already have one guy starting for us, one guys backing up for us, one guy starring on loan in the second division, and two more prospects in the youth teams. If Christoffersen 15b can slowly get those technical and mental attributes up, I can see him looking similar to Brandt 11e and playing a role for us. Mogensen 15c has some bad negatives, and needs to develop physically, but the potential is there somewhere. Spork 15d also has some potential there I think, we need reinforcements in the attacking third, so hopefully he can develop quick since he's already 16 and eligible to play. Rexhepi 15e has a fair bit of developing to do, so hope he has enough ambition and professionalism to get there. Finally, Petersen 15f has low potential according to the HOYD, but has the personality to reach it. Doesn't really fit into our midfield right now since we play a BWM(S), a BBM(S), and a SS(A).
  15. I tried it there in FM22, and it's possible. Once you reach the top 2 tiers finances will improve. The mandatory release clauses are annoying on one hand, but prevent your players from getting mad on the other. Being in Spain has the advantage of a country with a high youth rating, so it's possible to get very good players even as a lower league side. I made it to the top half of LaLiga 2 before losing interest, but it was a fun journey and I'd recommend it .
  16. Had to protest 2 times, board agreed, then went an accepted a third bid on deadline day. He's immediately worth 30M after the deal
  17. First sale of the summer is done. We absolutely fleeced Napoli in my opinion, he's not worth that much.
  18. Brønshøj BK - Review Season 14 We're now at the point in which we no longer have to worry about avoiding relegation. We're favored to beat the worst couple teams home and away, favored to beat the bottom half at hone, and even made some competitive games against the top half at home. We smashed our points record and topped the relegation group with a positive goal difference for the first time (thanks to AGF throwing a 9 point advantage in 10 matches). We finished 7th overall and had the 6th best goals scored and conceded. Then, to my surprise, the top finisher in the relegation group actually enters a 1 game playoff with the bottom finisher in the championship group for Denmark's last Conference League spot. This entire season we struggled to score goals, even when we created more chances. But our luck came through at the perfect moment as we traveled away to Vejle and won 2-0 to make it into Europe. We enter in the second qualifying round and the board expectation is to make it into the proper stages, Key players: Our last training facilities upgrade finished next month. The board haven't let me upgrade youth for a while now. No transfers in, and I posted earlier about the big outs. Our former player Holm 10b won the Superliga Spring Player of the Year while on loan from Dortmund.
  19. We also get 4 players named on the NXGN list. Hjulmand 11a is a stud, but his performances have been not-so-great recently. Only having 7 natural fitness really hamstrings him from getting consistent performances in a row. He kicks up a fuss about leaving every now and again, but we have him contracted without a release clause for 2.5 more years. Nymand Sjølander 12g is complaining about wanting a new contract, but his agent is locking in a 5M release clause, so we're in limbo. But he's a very talented wingback also under contract for 2.5 years. Rami 12b has come out of nowhere this year to really improve and, more importantly, put in some good performances in the league and earned a call up to the Morocco team this winter. Only thing that lets him down is his height, he's 4 inches shorter than Messi! We just signed him to a new deal for 2 more seasons. Surprisingly, the last spot on the list goes to Sharbini 12l, who has also improved a good amount playing as a rotation option in the first team. Not sure how much PA he really has, but he's won some Bosnian caps and is also locked down for 2.5 years after just signing a new deal.
  20. Brønshøj BK - Youth Intake Season 14 Lots of players with supposedly high potential and some CA; the true sign of progress when less and less of your intake has maxed out potential stars. One one with a bad personality, the others look decent with a couple standouts. Clausen 14d is absolutely confounding, where would you guys play him? Andresen 14a is already pretty tall unlike all our fullbacks, and has nice well-rounded attributes. Given that he is either footed, I will train him at DL so he can play both fullback spots and even fill in through the center if necessary. After losing Rønnow 10d in January, we get our new 4th DC. I like the look of Wørts 14b, tall, both footed, he will have a nice future at the club. Jacobsen 14c is unfortunately very short for a fullback, ruining the other good attributes he has. I could play him as a winger, but I don't think he has enoughh going forward for that role. Clausen 14d is the one I have no clue what to do with. He can play either DC, MC, or ST. He would be short for a DC, has only 5 vision for a MC, and would waste his 13 tackling as a ST. Yet he does have 18 finishing so it also seems a waste to play him anywhere else. Honestly have no clue what to do with him, and the plan is to just train him as a BBM(S) for now since it hits the most attributes.
  21. And there we go, he actually dropped his unhappiness concern after "no clubs were willing to meet his release clause" despite many clubs doing so. But he chose to take Milan's offer instead of ours and I can't blame him. We don't have depth at DR, so this hurts, but time for the youth to rise.
  22. Thje first release clause was met. Krogh 10e is still kicking around since everyone is bidding slightly below his release clause, but it's only a matter of time. Not too worried about this since he was already our second best DC and we have younger players with a Bosnian cap and a DRC cap behind him.
  23. It seems like our slight reputation bump (we're now higher than all second division clubs) has stopped players from locking in release clauses. So I was able to extend him, and will be going through others to do the same. Prepare the payroll to seriously expand.
  24. Knock on wood, but we've had an incredible preseason. When PSG came in for Hjulmand 11a, we were able to talk him down with the "tight knit social group" option, then we were able to placate another 2-3 players by saying "Hjulmand 11a stayed, so you can too." The only downsides are that we agreed to sell Krogh 10e if anyone meets his release clause of 4.3M, Milan have bid about 2.8M, so we're safe for now, but I'm expecting that sale to go through eventually. Then also Lauritzen 10c wasn't buying the chat we had, so I was set to sell him for 9M to Dortmund. Well above his value and we have 2 younger keepers knocking about. But in a shocking turn of events: I've never seen somebody reject a contract from such a higher rep club before
  25. Brønshøj BK - Review Season 13 This season felt like an improvement, not sure how much it actually was. I stuck with the same tactic I had been using four months ago for the relegation stage and it worked well, we actually were the better team in lots of games and our swcoring woes had improved. I think that was somewhat due to the last 2 FM updates, which I hadn't played on yet. We finished with what is I believe our joint-highest point total in the league and cruised pretty comfortably above the drop after we beat Silkeborg home and away. The facilities are starting to have a noticeable impact on how quicky our players improve. The issue is that half our team kick up a fuss about leaving for stronger sides in the summer. We've sold players to Porto (twice), Benfica, and Dortmund (twice), so the players are very talented and the money we've gained from sales is very nice in improving our situation. I feel like a couple more years of this sales and facility upgrade cycles will allow us to finally break into Europe and keep some of our talent home. The secondary issue is anytime I offer a new contract, a release clause is locked into negotiations, so oftentimes its more worth it to sign a deal with a 3 year extension when the players come through the intake, then deal with them being angry about wanting a new contract rather than give them a modest release clause. Hjulmand 11a (PSG, Bayern, Juve, Milan) and Krogh 10e (Dortmund, Inter, Milan, Napoli) have tons of interest, so I'm hoping to avoid the board selling them on the cheap this summer. Key players: Was able to avoid the tax hit by pumping another training facilities upgrade for 5.5M. Once those go through, we'll be one below max with Superb facilities, Good youth, and maxed out recruitment and junior coaching! No transfers in, a few out for big money as is the norm. Both Hagedorn 10a and Holm 10b excelled for the Benfica and Dortmund B teams respectively.
