  1. August 2026: Regular Season Manager's Thoughts Our month started out terrible because we were playing a bigger team in Europe, and I played the backups against TNS due to fatigue. The backups took TNS to penalties in the cup match. That bodes well for our chances during the regular season of the Cymru Premier League. Even though we are considered relegation fodder I think we can repeat last season since we are a better team than last season. So far, we are undefeated in the league. Now to keep that up even though we can't hit the broadside of a barn standing next to it finishing wise..... Schedule Highlights If we somehow get by Rijeka we will play Tottenham most likely! Rijeka were big favorites and I didn't blame anyone for thinking so. I was unsure because We were playing a much bigger professional team, but I wasn't giving up on us either! It didn't matter we lost the match 4-1 they were just much better than us and my goalkeeper had a 5.8 rating making it easy for them. After the rout in Rijeka, we returned to Conwy and this email from the board. The board reminded me of the goals for the season. All are definitely do able. Our backup striker that wasn't producing finally got signed away.......some money off the payroll. The next match was a cup match against TNS. I decided that I would just take the loss and play the backups. The New Saints were out of sorts, but my boys needed a rest also..... Even after last season and this summer's Heroics we only gained 13 season ticketholders. That is a 10% increase to look on the bright side! The winner of the next game will get the minnow Mumbles next! I was expecting a loss, but my backups showed up to play and the match went to penalties.....which is a lottery. It was a bad miss since he knocked in about 5 last season during matches. After the loss to TNS we had another match with Rijeka at Prenton Park. We were still the underdogs, but I wanted a better performance! another disgruntled backup.....can head on his way out! We played better but they were just better than us and the Ref wasn't the best either. But we still got the bag of money! and received two much bigger bags of money! I was happy with my team. Now that the team was a wash in cash and after our European Heroics I decided to see if the board would let me go on a coaching course. The answer was an emphatic NO! I will not be seeking further employment with Conwy after this season. After the end of the Europa Conference League matches the season was about to start with the first match home versus Bala Town. We were still underdogs, but I liked our chances against anyone in the league except TNS. Last Season's Left Back doesn't like competition...... The Welsh Cup was drawn and we will play Pontypridd. Finally opening day arrived at the Y Morfa Stadium..... We played like last year and the Ref hated us! A week later we headed to newly promoted Llanidloes Town Still the underdog we were ready to take it to our hosts! We won the game with another terrible referee! We then had to take on newly promoted Haverfordwest County. I remembered our last meeting but I thought this team could beat them. We just couldn't finish our chances.....headers over and to the side of the net all over the place.......frustrating to watch! Last season's backup DM did a job as a CB stopping over the top balls and scoring as well! Another Cup was added to our schedule, and we will host FC Edinburgh. The last match of the month was against Carmarthen Town and we were underdogs yet again. Again, our terrible shooting was to blame but we did draw with our opponents. Our Star DM signed up long term! not bad for our level. League Table Monthly Analysis Report Player of the Month Management Report Monthly Financial Report Looking Ahead to be continued:
  2. Good Luck! With your Squad assessment your team might be good for bringing the gengen press to Portugal and playing "Bully Ball" as I call it.
  3. July 2026: Preseason "Summer Camp with Trucks" Manager's Thoughts I thought I had brought in the best players we could attract to Conwy and that were suited to a 4-3-3 Gengen press. We didn't get much time to settle the new signings in as they were almost immediately thrown in the fire with Europa Conference League Qualifiers. They stepped up as well as a few of the old heads as we won against two bigger teams and will take on a third in August. The money from the tourney is mind-blowing for a team like us. Two wins and we have just about paid for our season. On the home front we are again picked for relegation from the Cymru Premier League, but from what I have seen we might repeat last season's heroics. Schedule Highlights Let us start off with a list of the players we brought in.... I was happy with the players I had brought in and thought they added quality to the squad. Our Welsh League Cup Dreams are shattered before they start having drawn TNS. We played a couple of Friendlies and then were thrown into competitive matches with the Europa Conference League Qualifiers. The match was against a North Macedonian Team that was highly rated. The match took place in England because the closest stadium to us was Prenton Park in Birkenhead and home of Tranmere that was regulation for Europa Conference Matches. We were underdogs but I always give us a chance...... In the end we won after going down early. The fans were ecstatic on Social Media. We went down to a penalty but won it with set-pieces late on. It was a debut for a number of players, but winger Mason grabbed the headlines. The next match a week later would see this Semi-Pro Welsh team travel to N. Macedonia. Even though we had the lead we were expected to lose on the road. We got the away goal I wanted and were putting the game to bed when I let 16-year-old Jordan Giverin his debut. Two goals later he becomes a legend! It was a debut to remember, and he was part of this year's academy class. We made more money winning this match than we did for coming in second in the league! Welsh Soccer caused some upsets! (Probably because we were playing teams from unloaded leagues) Of course, I was pleased with the outcome. They were already determining future matches.....but next up a Lithuanian team. Hywel Wright, our Vice-Captain, and biggest star signed on for two more years! We would now travel to Lithuania for the next match against another bigger side. We put up a fight but ultimately lost to a better team. The return leg was a week later again at Prenton Park. We were big underdogs, but home dogs tend to win! Never count us out! Another bag of money, the board is happy. I am too. We have just about paid for this season! Our Star Striker had a game for the ages...... and was noted in the Athletic! As a reward we get a trip to Croatia! Two days later we played our last friendly. This was mostly backups that weren't getting playing time..... Season Preview We added quality to the squad and have had some great victories and Europe but are still considered underdogs. Even though Hywel Wright was on the list last season he isn't even on the list preseason! supposedly everyone has better players than us! 4. June 2026: Offseason Part Two Highlights I made a concerted effort to find some better players so we wouldn't get humiliated in Europe. Competition for the Left Back Spot. I had to over promise playing time but I will work that out during the season. I brought in the 30-year-old Edwards to take over the CM-A spot in the 4-3-3. He is not a scorer and will probably be moved to the MC-AP-S position during the season. He also provided cover for a number of positions. Of course, we avoided the tax hit since we were in the red ink. The Director helped the cause a bit with a new sponsor! We are now in the 93rd best league in the World! England and France got the Extra Champion's League bids. Our Striker decided he wanted to stay after all...... A big Day for the Musselmen! our European Draw! We play Shkrupi from N. Macedonia and are massive underdogs! We are now the 10th biggest team in Wales Pyramid! Just a reminder we were the biggest overachievers in the League! No Musselmen signings of the season! The Board reminded me of the objectives for the season. Nothing too difficult, I think. Some more money.....maybe we paid off the debt from last season. As the Transfer Window opens, I have made my moves. 5. Wow, Up there with the Promotion places after promotion. you must have a special team.
  6. Never seen the Serie A be such a cakewalk. Also, you seem to be doing well in Champion's League.
  7. I have added some better players but, mostly this season will be making sure we don't get relegated. As for Europe, We are assured two matches in the Preseason against a team from North Macedonia and we are underdogs again.
  8. May 2026: Offseason Part One "Tucker's Town" Manager's Thoughts Highlights The off season began and Hootie jetted off to Bermuda for a few days rest before trying to build up the club for a repeat performance. Unfortunately for him the Work Emails were never ending, and the Board was only a phone call away! The supporters have grown at the grassroots level but the business types are staying away. The team's general performance wasn't bad, but we did overachieve as shown by our defensive stats. The Board called while Hootie was in the middle of a round of golf...... They wanted to negotiate next years Club Vision. I was admant about NOT playing Defensive football (mostly because it would put our slow players at more of a disadvantage in attack) and the board accepted. Counter-Attacking from the press is what I want to do. I agreed to Set-Pieces mostly because we scored many goals that way this past season. The Team is behind me even after a few dust ups and a less than stellar End of Season Team meeting. The Analysts didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. Max Moore is being signed to add some depth to the attack, so we don't have to depend on U-19's. The U-19's might be something in a few years. To help the defense I decided to sign a new goalie, better reflexes, one-on-ones, and positioning than the incumbent. With that we released the emergency keeper.....since our U-19 keeper is the backup due to Player registration rules requiring two u-19 players in a match day squad. The season was a success but the Timeline has a funny way of showing it! Goal Shy Conwy 57 goals our first season in the top league and 55 points 2nd place was a club low? I think something is off with the records......especially since this was our first season in the top league in Wales! The TNS star won Player of the Year! Too bad for our Right Back Hywel Wright! But I won Manager of the Year! The Board was happy enough to let me keep my job and say "Atta boy"! In the wider World Sean Dyche won the Europa Conference League while coming in 9th in the Premier League. Management Report Monthly Financial Report I am a little worried about the team's finances but that is above my paygrade.....I just manage the team within the parameters of the Board Vision and Budget! to be continued:
  9. I started this year with Conwy in JD Cymru North. Good Luck! I have found good players hard to find in Wales and even after we got promoted not many players wanted to sign on and those that did were mediocre.
  10. The Future is so Bright I have to wear shades!
  11. Next Season is make or break for Nix's Career. Midtable in League One is obtainable, but I find League One one of the toughest leagues because there usually is a lot of parity between teams and it is easier to fall out of than get promoted.
  12. TNS is our nemesis, and I don't expect to do that well in Europe either. We are a Semi-Professional Team from Wales. TNS is the Professional team in our League, and they never do well. They just have better players......because they are professionals.
  13. April-Early May 2026 "Let her Cry" Manager's Thoughts The fans of Conwy were certainly crying at the end of our magnificent Cup run to the final of the Welsh Cup. Where we fell again to the best team in the league: TNS. Overall I am proud of the final position of the team even though we should have ended up like our fellow promoted team Barry town. They qualified for the Championship Division like us, but ended up losing every match after the split. Of course, of this season to remain in the league. It is going to take somewhat of a squad overhaul to make that happen. At least the board is giving me the money to do it. Schedule Highlights The month of April started with success at the U-19 level. Our U-19's are playing well in 2nd place in their league and making the Semi-Final of the Welsh Youth Cup. Unfortunately, only one or two maybe ready to help the First team. The first match of the month was against Barry Town who also overachieved and made the Championship Division. Even though we were 2nd in the table and Barry Town hadn't won since the split. We were underdogs. We won the match that we dominated. When we score first, we often win and that was true this day. Burchell was the man leading the team. He was also named Player of the Week! The next match was a trip Carmarthen Town. Again we would be underdogs and we would be without our DM Green. We lost and our First Choice Goalie got hurt again! and will miss the Welsh Cup Final! Even though we lost other teams lost as well and we came in 2nd securing a European Conference League Preliminary Spot. Boy, do I miss the days that Goalies never got hurt in matches! The Board is excited for the final, me not so much since TNS is the opponent. My young Striker that started the season with a lot of promise has fallen off and is mad that I started reducing his playing time. I told a reporter that I wanted him to work for it like I told him in private. He seemed receptive. The HOYD will need to be replaced. And then the Team Leaders came to me about Holmes.....I told them the same thing I told the player and the Media. He needs to earn it. They weren't happy when they left my office. What a way to go into a Cup Final! The media made us big underdogs as expected. The Clubs first Final in it 49-year History! I was just being realistic there is a reason we have lost to this team 5 times now! We played them tough but missed Burchell, our playmaker, who was cup-tied. We were the biggest overachievers! and we got a little bit of prize money! The Board is ambitious with the budget! League Table Player Stats and Awards As you can see only 3 players, who played a lot averaged 7.00 or more. Player of the Month Player of the Year Management Report Monthly Financial Report Even with the prize money from the League and cup run we ended the season in the red, while spending no where near the whole payroll budget! to be continued:
  14. March 2026 Manager's Thoughts The team continued playing we were losing to the better teams now that they knew how to beat our press and beating the teams we should beat. One more win and we should have a few European Fixtures this summer. We are not really ready for that, but I decided to remain one more season at Conwy to see if we weren't just a one season wonder. Getting my National C license helped me make the decision to stay. Schedule Highlights The rest of March began with another match against the New Saints. We would be traveling to Park Hall Stadium our personal house of horrors! We scored first! Just before the half. Then the second half happened..... I got a surprising email that may change my attitude towards management and my staying on to see this through at least next season. I had asked to go on a coaching course back before Christmas and never heard back. But obviously I was sent on the course. My skills have improved a bit, but I think it is mostly because of my successful season. After losing to TNS we had to go back on the road to take on Caernarfon Town and as usual we were underdogs. One of my Center backs, who was covering for a Left back because of suspension got his "tighty's in wad" over it and finally got over it. Another appalling game where we scored first then gave up the game.......! The last match of the Month was the Welsh Cup Semi-Final to be held at Y Morfa Stadium. We were favored even if we were without our best midfielder who was cup tied. We scored first and dominated the match! Hywel Wright our Right Back is in the conversation for Player of the Year! and of course we get to play TNS again...... Youth Intake It's considered a poor intake but almost everyone has potential to make the team as currently constituted. The New Gens haven't taken over yet. I signed a new deal I had to fight not to take a pay cut and the Board refused another Coaching Course after I signed a deal. League Table Monthly Analysis Report our numbers aren't bad but compare them to TNS: Looking Ahead to be continued:
  15. I would love to see a takeover just to get the Glazer's out! I'm not a Man U fan but I know what kind of money-grubbing bloodsuckers they are.
  16. Selling your three best players and still having a great season. It shows you have depth or tactical acumen or both!
  17. February 2026 Manager's Thoughts The team played well. The new signings and the tactical switch to the 4-3-3 were what we needed to do to make improbable runs on a European place and in the Welsh Cup. We even beat one of our Bogey teams Connah's Quay twice in a week! The team still needs more quality to make this sustainable but for now we will enjoy the ride. Schedule Highlights A young player that was on a non-contract and was a backup agreed to a part-time deal. None of our Deals made headlines but I think we are a better team than we were before. We weren't involved in Deadline day either...... After Deadline day came the first match of the month...... We headed to Barry Town and looked to win no matter what the bookies and media had to say. We were able to disrupt their plans early and they parked the bus, we then spent and inordinate amount of time trying to get a goal! We finally did and added one for good measure! We then returned to Conwy and the Y Morfa for a visit from Carmarthen town. They were out of form but still favored..... Lee Ellis now a CM-A is dominating matches....and after a talk the captain started playing well again, Our Star right back was concerned and unhappy with the strength of the team but with a few signings and better play he is happy again! We then had to travel to Connah's Quay FC for the Welsh Cup Quarterfinal As usual we were the underdogs and Burchell was cup tied. We had had trouble with Connah's Quay in the past and the arguably 2nd best team in Wales was a tough customer and we were about to play them twice in a row. But I had learned a thing or two about their tactical approach and I knew who to mark. Victory was ours late after a substitution for our Striker who was playing badly! and I hoped to do it again in a week at home! We would now take on the weakest team left in the Semi-Finals! The next encounter with Connah's Quay would be a week later on the First of March at the Y Morfa Stadium. Each team had gotten the others measure in the Cup match this was a no holds barred goal fest with a terrible referee! But we won in the end. League Table Monthly Analysis Report Monthly Awards Management Report The Board and the team are behind me the supporters not so much! Monthly Financial Report Even with a positive month due to the Cup win we are in the red ink. Looking Ahead to be continued:
  18. I will follow up with interest if the save can last. I need to learn youth development.
  19. January 2026 Manager's Thoughts The team battled hard won a couple and lost a couple of matches. The losses came back-to-back against the class of the League TNS. We added two players who should help us get better especially midfield playmaker Burchell. With him coming into the squad we have switched back to the 4-3-3 DM Wide of last season. The team was able to transition rather quickly because the roles and responsibilities were roughly the same as the 4-2-3-1 DM Wide, we had used this season. We have a chance to make Europe this season if we do, I will stay for one more season in Wales. Schedule Highlights January started off with a great victory! We controlled the match and dominated the game like we had all season when we won. Our AMC-AP-A was the man leading the line! The last match of the first 22 was against TNS and we didn't expect to win.... We would try again and probably give them a game but be brave losers...... as expected......another brave showing in a loss. A recent signing a AMR made his debut, just signed a few days before the match. He is about the best player we can attract that has any pace and skill for the position. The New Saints keep their tight grip on Welsh Football. After the league split we are in the Championship Division and will finish no lower than 6th place. 10 matches against the rest of the qualifiers for the European places. We made a signing of a true midfield playmaker that should be a big help to our team. He is by far the most technical player on my team by far. With the signing of Burchnell we switched back to a 4-3-3 so he could play his favored position. In the next match we would take on Connah's Quay again! Glorious Underdogs once again....... We played well after two early lapses in concentration allowed them to score two goals. The 4-3-3 did its job and we were able to escape with a draw. Our Starting Striker goes down for over a month! We then returned to the Y Morfa Stadium for the final match of the month. Caernarfon Town would be tough customers but we were ready. Burchell led the team and won it with a Free Kick goal! We are now just fighting for European places as all of our losses to TNS make it impossible to catch them with 7 matches to go! If we could find a better player for any position that would join us I would sign him. League Table Monthly Analysis Report Our Team attack makes for good reading....defense not so much. Player of the Month Management Report Monthly Financial Report Looking Ahead to be continued:
  20. December 2025 Manager's Thoughts Our play all season has been above our level and like Daedalus we are coming back to earth after flying too close to the sun. We are still playing hard and are a tough out but the better teams especially TNS show that they are just better than us. We have made it to safety with 12 matches left to play. That is a magnificent achievement and one to be proud of, but this will probably be my last at Conwy mostly because I can't attract the players needed to make this success sustainable and the financial situation of the club won't allow me to complete any courses for coaching licenses. Schedule Highlights The first match of December would see us take on Newtown FC at the Y Morfa Stadium. We dominated the proceedings like we had in September and October! Highlights on the local channels! As you can see from the table we are probably safe from relegation it just hasn't become official. After our Victory against Newtown FC we were faced with a sterner test: Caernafon Town who were behind us in Third Place in the table. of course we were underdogs but we would try to catch TNS.......with a win! Another match where we fought valiantly but having a man sent off was too much for us. After the Match the Youth Intake Report came in and I am excited that we may have a player or two. We could use players of all positions, but we are thin on the wings and midfield, and this doesn't really change that. But the biggest news we are officially SAFE from relegation! I thought we would eke it out near the bottom of the table, going into the season I was looking for 10th place and to have more points than matches played. We have definitely overachieved. Our start was nothing short of miraculous! Another of my favorite clubs fired a manager......perhaps one day in the future I will apply. First, I need some licenses! We were on the road again this time in Penybront We were still underdogs! We went down early but continued to fight and were able to draw level but unable to separate from the hosts! The final match of the month would see us play Gap Connah's Quay again on the road. The Underdog role suits us and the opponents were in fine form it would be a tough match. We took an early lead but couldn't hold it! As Connah's Quay fought back. I am happy right now but if the right players become available I will spend..... I am looking for a winger to replace Jones who won't be back to March! League Table Monthly Analysis Report Player of the Month Management Report Monthly Financial Report Looking Ahead to be continued:
  21. November 2025 Manager's Thoughts The month was a mixed bag. We lost to the good teams and beat our relegation competitors even though we were underdogs. We have most likely lost any chance of winning the league due to our losses to TNS, but then again it would be a miracle for this bunch to pull that off. Probably worse odds than Leicester in 2015! We are on target to remain safely in the league with 1-2 more wins. That is the goal as I will then try to find better players to keep us in the fight for a European place. This is all due to our phenomenally lucky start to life after promotion! Schedule Highlights After the loss to Connah's Quay we headed back to Conwy with our tail between our legs. and one of our disgruntled players agreed to leave in January. Pontypridd was the next team on the schedule. The relegation threatened team was favored against us at home! Never bet against home underdogs! The U-19 player I was using as a backup AML gets hurt.....in his debut start after scoring! He had been lighting it up for the U-19's and our captain needed a rest and Pontypridd was the perfect game for it. In world news, Jude Bellingham becomes the best player in the world ahead of Kylian Mbappe! After the Pontypridd match, we had a difficult encounter with TNS next: this is one time I might bet the favorites....since this was rescheduled due to international commitments of their players. We fought hard and it was a red card and our going down to ten men that clinched it for the favorites! After the loss to TNS we went on the road to Carmarthen Town The Home team was favored......even though we were still a top the table. They scored early and threw off our game plan......we fought back but it wasn't enough. Again we returned downtrodden to Y Morfa Stadium. Our fellow promoted team was the next opponent on the schedule and they were favored even though we were the home team! We managed to win but it took another missed penalty by our opponents to give us all 3 points! Another U-19 AML was given a debut and scored! I made sure that the backup right back was on a full part-time basis. We then headed for Colwyn Bay and the last match of the month. According to the bookies and media it would be another tough match for us. We escaped with a draw with a late goal by super-sub Barratt last season's leading scorer! We loaned out our best defensive prospect so he maybe better for us in the future! League Table Monthly Analysis Report Still scoring more than we are giving up, but the conceded goals number is creeping up. Player of the Month The backup BWM-DM-D put on a show in several appearances this month even scoring a goal! Management Report Monthly Financial Report We are only spending about half the wage budget and are in the red......the supporter bake sales aren't enough! Looking Ahead to be continued:
  22. Did Arsenal have a firesale? Odegaard to Man U on a free and Nketiah at Southhampton. Definitely need Odegaard to take over for Bruno in Midfield.
  23. October 2025: Regular Season Manager's Thoughts We continued our good play until we started playing the better teams in the league. We tied Bala Town and lost to TNS and Connah's Quay. As the more than once a week matches began to take a toll on our part time players. The Referee also made sure we only tied Bala Town and lost to Connah's Quay. Against TNS their superior training and quality began to show in the second half and allowed them to win the match. Our success has been predicated on getting an early goal and then controlling the match with possession and Set Pieces as weaker opponents Parked the Bus after our early goals. Time to start thinking about a Plan B for better teams or recruiting better players or both! Schedule Highlights The first match of October saw the team host Penybont at the Y Morfa Stadium. Even though we were on top of the table and had won our last five matches we were home underdogs! The statement game is delayed because of TNS International Call ups! The Penybont match went to plan after they scored the first goal! We responded and got some help from the referee. but we lost our starting Left Back for the rest of the month. Highlights and sitting a top the table.....not bad for relegation candidates! We don't have a lot of cover and the U-19's are far from ready. It is part and parcel of football, we already missed our starting goalie for a month! We then hit the road to Cardiff to take on the Met Uni team.... Another Relegation candidate is picked to beat us! can we keep up the streak? Again, we went down to an early goal and after halftime and some substitutions we took control and won the match. One of my preferred destinations is having trouble already firing a manager! We will play Connah's Quay FC in the Quarterfinal of the Welsh Cup! After the Cardiff Met Uni win, we again hit the road for Bala Town and another tough match. One of my CM's doesn't want to be part of a DM rotation.....I am looking to rid myself of him and bring in a better player in January for the stretch run. He can demand all he wants.....not going to happen for tactical reasons. the 4-2-3-1 DM Wide is working wonders so far! This was a tough match, but the home team was helped by the referee with THREE Penalty Kicks! and we scored off of Set pieces to open and close the match with it ending in a Draw! and next we take on the New Saints in a Cup match! This will be a great test! We played our usual way with a mostly Starting XI barring injuries and suspensions and played the professionals well but lost. and we lost our Right Winger for most of the rest of the season! As XG shows we gave them a match for about 60 minutes when we began to wear down, they took advantage. We returned home to Y Morfa Stadium beaten but unbowed. We were to take on Connah's Quay on the 1rst of November. Again we were home underdogs! The referee decided the match in which only our players got yellow cards and they got a late penalty! Monthly Analysis Report Player of the Month The backup AMC had quite a month off the bench. Management Report Monthly Financial Report Looking Ahead to be continued:
  24. I didn't know that. I just assumed they were actually from Wales ever since I started playing FM Ten years ago.
  25. September 2025: Regular Season "Imperfect Circle" Manager's Thoughts The start of the month saw us brought back down to earth a bit after our fast start. We then rallied and won every match for the rest of the month. Including a cup tie with Connah's Quay which we went down 2-0! The gegen press is still working and is scaring teams into defensive postures and bad passes that we are so far capitalizing on. Eventually this run of form will end but I am hoping that by that time we will have enough points to achieve safety. Schedule Highlights The month of September started with the Transfer Window Closing and other than our summer signings no business from us. We had brought in eight players of generally better quality than the players we already had....but they were far from the quality of the New Saints. Harvey Green is the best of the bunch and I will look to build around him in the future. Some of the players are being retrained as DM's because of our change in formation. Many of these players were signed before I made that decision. A bit of mistake but it is working well on the pitch so far. There was an international break that gave us a rest from matches, but I had some players play with the U-19's during the break. Unfortunately, our Backup Left Back will be out meaning our Starting Left back will be worn out after the hectic schedule forced on us by the break. After the break we started playing again our first opponent was newly promoted Barry Town. Because of our Dismal Preseason Ranking and the fact, they were the home team Barry town was favored. I decided to extend some of the Starters break by rotating the squad for this match. It was a mistake to play the squad players and we had trouble defending against a 4-4-2 that played direct "Route One" Football even though they claimed to be a Control Possession side. After the loss to Barry Town, we headed back to Conwy looking to rectify the situation against Colwyn Bay at the Y Morfa Stadium. I learned from my mistake and played the strongest possible team..... We controlled the game but couldn't find the net....but we got the one we needed for the win out of 26 Shots! He is an MC-AP being retrained as Segundo-Volante and he will be missed in the next match. We had a Cup match next against a real minnow Nantile Town. I rotated the team again due to injuries and the need for rest. The squad players dominated but our goal tending left something to be desired. As a reward we get Alfan Lido at the end of the month! The next match saw us travel to Newtown FC The home team was heavily favored but I was ready with a rested starting XI. Newtown Park the Bus after a red card and made it difficult for us but eventually due to a set piece we scored the winning goal and added another for good measure.
