  1. Ive tried editing the club xml and ui xml to allow for it, but I cant seem to figure out why its not displaying the database entry
  2. For reference There are a couple of wonky fixes for this, such as duplicating cities, editing old nations, or re-editing teams But theres nothing built in to the editor that allows us to do this naturally. There are hidden club visions like "sign players that speak this language", there's no way to set national biases like FC Romania generating Romanian Canadian regens, and theres no way to create new nations so you cant easily support "Only sign players from this sub region" without breaking someone else's database since we all have to edit the same countries like editing Ireland into Quebec or CIS into Cascadia There's an entire category of world building that is cut off to us, and its really sad. It would open up so much if these hard coded functions were able to be edited onto new teams

  4. I really wish SI would support this natively It would be so much easier to just say "generate players of Dual Nationality" in Club Vision, or open up the "Sign players that speak this language" functionality to the editor

Just a reminder that this database will be released for FM23 as is, with no fixes to any errors that may exist That way yall have something to do while I work on the updated version, which will hopefully be done much quicker this year Ill be adding all the new teams from the Canadian leagues this year, as well as some new college teams from lower levels, as well as fixing any general errors that I made in the release. Ill be recalculating some team reputations, and making some small changes to league structure. And any team that folded between the previous release and today will still be included, but with a lower reputation

  7. Some rules cant handle "More than" even when it makes logical sense But you can flip it, and set a Less Than X for U21 players, if you know how many players will be on a squad
  8. I dont want to Alarm anyone But I think Im just about finished with the database Just have to iron out a couple of balancing things, fix some minor mistakes, that kind of stuff And then perhaps put together a graphics pack, and then I can finally start actually playing the game lol

We've solved the crash issue thats been happening Now we can finally get back to fixing... well every other problem thats been happening lol This sounds depressing, but its actually a great problem to have. A tiny little problem prevented so much progress this past month, and now time can be spent on the actual finishing touches of the Database. I might maintain a July 1st release for the spectacle of Canada day, but it'll be done before then I think
  10. I think I finally found the actual source of the crash There was a list of awards that were meant to be for the competition, but had an announcement date set. The game wasnt able to reconcile the differences in rules
  11. Turns out some Award specific for the league is causing it to crash Now I just have to figure out which one, and why
  12. Ive sussed out another thing crashing Apparently my roster rules of "Number of Over 23 players" and "Number of Under 18 players" both, indivudally, cause the game to crash I really dont understand what could possibly be the problem lol
  13. Just to keep you guys updated, its been slow going. I've been 'working' near constantly since my last update. But that work is running the game with various changes and seeing when it crashes. This might involve running until 2050, which I think is fair. If it crashes once only in November of 2051, I don't think anyone's going to mind But its been extremely precise to try to find whats actually causing it, so i'm making maybe 1 change, and then running the database for however long it takes to either crash or hit 2030 at the minimum, 2050 for my overnight tests. I might get 3 changes in a day, so thats why theres been a lack of meaningful progress. But anyone with a Programmer background, like myself, can probably relate Itll be out by July 1st no matter what, even if I have to scrap every single rule and just run basic rules. I wont force you guys to wait till FM23. There is already a working version of the database I could release, but would rather not Fm23 will 'launch' with the final version of this database, just tweaked to fit whatever changes SI makes to the default. The January window will then be my goal for the new version. Which makes sense as thats when the Canadian seasons start
  14. Is there any way to actually read the save files? I want to see on what line the game is crashing on
  15. The memory usage is fine. But I think I figuered out the issue. My bottom league had promotion "active" but the teams was set to 0, so it sent nobody. Once I got rid of that it worked But that doesnt explain why it was happening
  16. This is so confusing It seems the game crashes in 2026 or 2027 now, no matter what leagues I have running, as long as there are more than 10 leagues? I can remove the bottom one and it runs forever. I can include the bottom one but remove all others and it still runs forever. But when theyre all included at once, THEN it crashes Does anyone have any ideas?

Lol I think I figured it out Whenever there is a position playoff, IE 2 teams in the same group tied on points to win the group, the game thinks "this is the championship playoff" When the winning team of the position playoff LOSES in the actual interleague playoff, the one with an actual stage, assigning a league fate, it has no idea what happened because now theres 2 champions Ive tested this in multiple saves running 10+ years 9 seasons have seen a position playoffs, of those 9, 5 were failed entries, of those 5, 5 were where the playoff team lost in the finals. Of the 4 where there were an entry, all 4 saw the playoff winner winning in the finals

I ran a test where a team wasnt added as a past winner for winning a playoff, reset to the day before, and repeated until the other team won The first team is recorded, the 2nd team is not Does anyone know what might be causing this? They are unequal groups, but the 2nd group DOES add past winners, it just randomly seems to not if the game is after a certain date. Its supposed to be October 1st, but could be something like the 26th depending on the year, its aiming for that sunday. If the game is played the following sunday, it breaks To me, this is telling me the league is resetting too early, and even though the fate gets assigned properly, the league is like "We're adding the winner october 1st, I dont care if the game is played or not" However, only for one group, and then only randomly. I cant seem to find anything that shows replicability. There are no options selected in either group, other than teams per group, and number of rounds. This is the exact same set up as the MLS, 2 groups, then a cup

See the following screenshots Darby beat Peterborough on Penalties, so they should have been credited with a game won in matches between teams tied on points, but instead that one was skipped over, and they were compared on games won, either 0 or 1 still tied, goal difference in general, still tied, and goals scored in general, and were still tied
  20. The spliced U23 leagues are causing the game to crash when it saves in November I honestly cannot tell why
  21. Yes, its the U18 teams that Usports have, in order to give them a reserves team, as they are a U23 team
