This can be a problem when you start a save and dont have the reputation to take a stance against their demands.  Once you are established and successful, this does become easier and you can say no a lot more often.  Remember that what they ask for and what they will eventually accept are often quite different.

Ive played 5 seasons same team I'm doing well in terms of reputation and these agents don't budge I'll send some screen shots next time.

It makes sense right? They want to be more important to the club than you think they are. I can usually get them to negotiate at least one notch down, if not two. If they really won't settle for a being a squad player (for example), you have to decide whether it's worth keeping them or not.

loool my assistant will recommend squad player and they will want important player, the negotiations will go to yellow as soon as i suggest regular starter.

Could in be because I heavily rotate my squad, players get an inflated ego concerning their worth and ability?

  2. He looks pretty rubbish to me.

I think you failed to realise that

A German league isn't as good as prem

B how the matches are simulated can affect player performance  (view only leagues dont fast track results through the ME)

    But congratulations you've signed pepe 2.0 :D

110 mil! what was you thinking? The lad cant pass, shoot, dribble or cross even his off the ball ain't that that good. who scouted him? the scout needs to be replaced .

Are there more add ons too? :D

I'd send him on loan then sell him later down the line, cut your losses

  3. Can someone show me how the AI do this intense Press on throw ins?

It's claimed you can do anything the AI can but I constantly have my throw in taking throwing the ball straight at an AI player then losing on the break (yawn!)

I want to know how i get 4 players infront of the limited 3 players allowed to retrieve the ball.

here's a screenshot of what i mean. I'm actually baffled that It causes the throw in taker to throw the ball straight to the opposition as long as there's one of my players waiting patiently behind :)

Worst part is the throw in is in my half and he throws it to the op towards my goal.

Anyways please this tactic does it pertain to defensive throw ins or something else ?

When you've been at the club for long enough, they will ask if you want to select a club. At that point you can do it yourself. It's all up to the board though, but it seems to be linked to time at club as far as I can tell.

Is there no actual news on this?

im surprised more people aren’t frustrated.

ive been searching and can’t find how long it takes to get involved in the selection process.

    do you actually have specifics?

The request for this is frustrating because you don't know when you will get the email but if you are on vacation during it, you don't get to pick the club IIRC.

Bro the time is right back where you request. There’s literally a countdown bar with a date on when the offers will be given to you.

Club vision > overview > board requests

it should say Affiliate club with a loading bar in the middle then started and completion date to the right of the bar.

the completion date is when they offer the clubs.

Surprised you missed it to begin with

I buy 17 year olds for this reason specifically. lohwenjie has already done his math correctly and answered your question. Whether you accept the answer is up to you.

you're actually just a troll if you know nothing but myths and folk tales please keep them to yourself. Tah

18 year olds you sign only gain home grown status if they turn 19 after the season reset date, which I believe in England is 25th June.

If your signing had turned 19 from June 26th onwards he would have gained Home Grown status.

The rule is they have to complete 3 full seasons at the club before they turn 22. The game interprets that in line with the season reset date which in England is June 25th.

    Hope that helps.

    thanks a bunch

knew there was something off, I remember last year i bought a 19 year old who acquired HG status, I reported it as a bug but its was just ignored.

I assume you refer in england right? I think you need to get home grown status before age of 21. Meaning before he turn 21, he must be in the country for 3 years.

    Your example:

Day of transfer: 9 Jul 20

Age of player on day of transfer: 18yrs 355days

In 3 years time: player will be 21yrs 355days

    Therefore he does not qualify.

I think this is how it works? Correct me if I am wrong.

Cant be this since any other 18 year old you buy will end the 3 years training at 21yrs Xdays old.

but yes i do refer to England but the hoemgrown rule extends to champions league and europa

I experience this all the time, I posted 6 months ago about it I'm pretty sure, got no reply. I have had one a few weeks ago where the player who was onside was onside by about 5-10 metres, called a player offside on the other side of the pitch nowhere near play, goal overturned. I've attached a PKM for another one where a goal at the 16 min mark is overturned calling the wrong player offside.

Whats the point uploading? these things rarely even get looked at

    let alone rectified

Any news on this because Im seeing 4-6 times a game where my players throw the ball directly to the opposition, when the opposition never throw the ball to me from throw-ins... 6 months since I reported this and there has been zero sign of improvement. Poor.

The throw in set ups are ignored and then you constantly concede from your own attacking throws

I leave 5 at the bag just too stop the break but the game ignores my tactics My DM and RB are meant to stay back but my DM goes short for the throw leaving NO out ball and no protection for the break he goes on to lose the ball and they score

Then you'll have people telling you its your tactics

  10. Couple updates later still the same issues. Players away on international duty when you still have a final to play.

How hard is it to delay players joining their teams to AFTER the final game is played.

This is something that happens alot throughout the FM series

@FrazT This is something that happens at the end of the first season just load up any save around that time u21s leave after the last league game

    its too early!!!

You've reversed what is safe and risky - there's a reason playing out from the back is something adopted by better teams.

Short passes around the box are deemed risky for defenders - especially if the other team is pressing. Losing the ball on the edge of the area is a very high risk. So for defenders kicking it long is deemed less risky because even if possession turns over there is less risk of an immediate threat on goal.

I think the game is a little over-sensitive to the opposition playing a high press, especially when top flight BPDs are involved, but as far as FM goes defender+short pass around the box = high risk.

Defender with short pass instruction + opposition high press or prevent short GK = hoof it long.

For defenders playing less risky passes will make them do the simple pass, thats what it basically  says in the description

What I am saying is that a goalie set to Sweeper Keeper on either support or attack will have that Take more risks already ticked with no option of removing it.

If you have set team instructions to deliver ball to CB or FB, but have your goalie on SK(S) or SK(A) he will take more risks, and not always play it short.

Seems like there's a lot of confusion over whether taking more risk (in game for defenders & keepers) means they'll pass it short or attempt long through balls more.

logically I would assume take more risk allows them to pass short under the press, but if you read the description it sounds like taking less risks will allow you t pass short. either way they still clear the ball when visually it doesn't look like theyre under pressure.
