Good season so far, A Madrid european efforts won't affect the euro spots on offer but you can only hope they drop points in the league due to fixture congestion. Vigo are also in reach - is H2H a decider or GD

2028 Table | Squad | Transfers This was such a meh season i forgot to even post about it. Started poorly before a good run of 6 wins in 7 put the team just outside the top 4 by 12 games. Only 3 wins in the last 18 games as poor form and loss of confidence hit and the team managed to finish towards the lower half of the league. Managed a few high scoring draws as the attack was ok but the defence was terrible and hindered by Gk's who kept putting in sub 6 performances every so often. In the swedish cup the team easily got past a L3 side before meeting struggling Superettan side Sandvikens at home. It took until ET to win 4-3. In the group stages (played in the next season)the team were drawn with Allsvenskan Varnamo and GAIS and Superettan Ostersunds. The team managed a creditable 4 points to finish 3rd. Finances continue to slowly bleed out although the cup stages netted an extra 35K not shown here to improve things. Abic up front did well in terms of performance, i also signed Hrgota who had been top scorer in the league below last season and started as backup before taking his chance. 2029 Table | Squad | Transfers I started this season intending to change the defence and GK which didn't happen as i could not attract better. I also realised how tough this league is with 6 professional teams and several of the strongest teams still semi-pro, the Ettan south by comparison has none. I did start the season with 4 straight wins before then winning in 4 games to fall behind Sollentuna who ran away with the league. Another decent winning run put the team in 2nd at halfway before a 4 game winless run dropped the team down to 4th and behind 6 points behind Sandvikens. I ended the season with 7 straight wins to sneak past them on the last day. In the playoffs the team met Karlslunds and won 1-0 at home and should have had more. In the away game the team were under pressure for the whole game but hit a goal on the break to edge it 1-0 and gain promotion. In the swedish cup the team hammered fellow Ettan North team BK Foward 4-0 away before facing club rivals Dalkurd at home. In an even game the team drew 2-2 in 90 mins before pulling away to win 6-2 in ET by a hatrick from my RB. In the group stage the team beat Allsvenskan Degerfors before losing to IFK Gothenborg who are the current Allsvenskan champions. A win against Superettan Osters meant the team finished 2nd and so nearly qualified for the next rd as Gothenborg lost after my teams last game. Finances improved a bit due to the strong cup performances but only games against the top 4 or 5 clubs generate much income. Increased wages meant the team is still losing money. The team turned pro at the end of the season but this is unlikely to change anything as the existing players want wages way over what i can afford and the clubs low rep and finances means few better players are not interested. I can't even attract staff on pro wages as they want more than i can give. Key to this season was bringing in Ajrullahu to operate as the defensive CM and move McDaid to the attacking cm, Martin also came in and did well. These gave a screen against the flaky defence which was still poor on occasions. Hrgota built on last seasons efforts to finish top for goals ans assists. @rlipscombeGood season to escape serie C, i thought there were 2 C level divsions in Italy but it has obviously changed. Hopefully there is more prize money in the new league as those finances look scary.

How did The Gambia manage to win it they are real minnows, even Eq Guinea has more pedigree. Only qualified for the first time at the last AFCON irl and never for the world cup.

International football is mad with how players are selected, with much worse players often picked. That is a very strange intake preview, not seen one like it before, usually there are a few B's and C's. The 2 AM's must be potentially something special to lift the intake past poor.

@jmarchand, i have had to make the improve training facilities promises a lot and broken it every time. I found its best to extend a contact running out in the middle of the season (and long before the promise is nearly broken) so that when the promise is broken they are still there for another year. Generally i apologised and blamed the board, After a few months most of the players got over it and carried on. If a promise is broken or the player is unhappy for any other reason and the player is out of contract they will leave.

Didn't realise you could manage u20 sides. For knowledge by clicking on scouting/scouting knowledge/scout assign/world knowledge/ nations and then clicking on a country it will then tell you the source of that knowledge if staff or an affliate.

In my first season in La liga i had a Gk come through, the 2nd of 4 5* players in that intake, my facilities were slightly better than yours. I loaned him out to L2 teams until he was 20 when i realised he was the equal of my 1st choice keeper (and worth 35 million) and then played him. By 23 he was the spanish national keeper. When i finished the save (fm23 came out) i looked under the hood, his PA was 178 and his CA 170, after 8 years in la liga finishing between 2nd-8th i had 6 youth players over 150PA and another 3 over 170. To my mind any player over 150 could be worldclass with the right attributes even though i think they don't get the 'elite' description unless they are over 160CA My facilities were almost maxed out by then 18-20 across the board and i had the 5th most reputable club although it was still only continental rep . Spain really does produce a lot of talented players.

Looks like you have the backup GK covered now. I suspect Alex is rubbish, if he came through with 1.5 CA then he is probably at his PA and the coaches have assumed his PA is higher. I have seen it before with players who are A or B in intakes with decent CA. At 22 the PA will drop to 2 stars from 4 overnight, with a reasonable personality and game time he should have improved. In spain i found at LA liga level any 5 star youth player is probably world class as spain generates a lot of them, even at lower levels the players are very good. I do understand what you mean about the 1st intake being too good. I once had a game with Methyr in the NLS who had poor facilities, my intake in the first season had 3 players who went on to play in the premier league!

Shame that fernando has gone, are you going to bring in a GK in jan or sooner on a free? Solid is an unusual description for a player, especially one who is not strong, i wonder what it actually describes.

Good season there. I found in Spain clubs are keen to loan players but not to pay much in wages to do so. You may have to acccept this to loan them out, Also i kept youths on youth contracts until they expired or if there was a lot of interest in them, this also helped with loaning them out since the cost to other clubs was not much.

That is my read as well re the fans, higher you go the more glory fans turn up with the core and hardcore remaining the same number but a smaller percentage. Longer term success may increase the core fans. @Jimbokav1971 well done on another promotion. hopefully the new stadium will help the finances as well, should be able to fill it on promotion.

@_JHTB_another good season there and you look close to winning the league, tough draw in europe with those teams. Having played in sweden before i found it was all about squad depth with all the euro games to cram in and KO games being played at times out of kilter with the league, i've never seen AIK relegated either.

Looks like 2 great strikers there, David is probably better than he looks as he is 2 footed.

It seems odd that they think you should be higher with 'attempt to avoid relegation' and that they are disappointed by your position considering several teams are only just ahead of you. Perhaps the new chairman has high ambition and low patience.

2027 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season with 3 straight wins but that turned into a high point as the best run of the season. For most of the year the team were well beaten and interspersed this with unconvincing wins, ending the season with only 1 win in the last 10 games. Entered into the swedish cup this year but had the hardest draw possible in the first round - away to rivals Dalkurd. Hammered 0-3 this set off the poor run at the end of the season. The club rep actually decreased this year in spite of the fact that half the teams in the league below are more reputatable. Finances continue to slowly decrease each year with only a good run likely to halt this (which hasn't happened yet) I signed a really good GK this year but he seemed to want to leave almost immediately and when he signed a pre-contract with another team i took the chance to sell him as promotion was gone already. I signed a lot of midfielders but generally the team still looked weak in midfield as they were only ok, Andren was the pick of them but left at the end of the season as my team was not strong enough for him. Club icon Zetterstrom was let go after scoring 61 goals in 106 games in his time playing for me. Smeds continued to impress in this league. @jmarchand Looks like an better season there and yet the team had less points. Seems like it will only take 1 good player or a great run to get promotion next season.

Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season in great form although i was always just behind Degerfors who won the first 14 games and then later dropped behind IF Karlstad who went 14 unbeaten in the middle of the season, 59 points was the previous highest for 2nd. Only 10 points from the last 9 games meant my team dropped down into mid table but overall it was still a good season. The team didn't enter the Swedish cup this season for reasons i can't understand. Finances dropped over the season and i was unable to convince the board to make improvements which is disappointing as i promised most of the players i signed on 2 year deals that i would improve the training facilities which will not happen. Rapp was one of those players and was a defensive lynchpin and my best player. Smeds managed to make the step up well to finish as top scorer although he still missed a lot chances in games and tailed off towards the end of the season again. The midfield needs overhauling as none of the players are really up to the standard needed and not really creative enough to carve out good chances for the strikers. Smeds looks on course after half a season but Zetterstrom is now on the bench. Well done on the promotion, finances should improve in the top league. You should be able to scout quite far afield now i assume so you will have a good chance of spotting some bargains, where are you getting all those brazilians from?

2025 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season with a few indifferent results before going on a 11 match unbeaten run to take control of the table after 15 games with a 10 point gap to 2nd. The team had a few more poor games before winning the title with a few games to go helped by a drop in quality of the other teams in the league. Finally entered into the swedish cup and the team faced struggling D1N side Hudiksvalls winning 2-0 at home in the 1st Rd. In the 2nd Rd the game was switched to away to top of the Superetten Brage where the team was outclassed 0-3. Finances remained steady although costs and wages went up quite a bit. Could not manage to sign any players who were better than the existing squad but did trial and then sign a couple of european u-21's. Dragan is a bit limited but still did well, Paal also had a good season. Up front Smeds and Zetterstrom were the main force, Smeds was the league top scorer and could have got more but an injury after 15 games really seemed to knock him back and he did not do very well for the rest of the season after that.
