EVH5150
Hi guys, As the title says, really. I've signed two young players who don't have work permits to play in England. I can't send them to an affiliate, and couldn't get any foreign clubs to take them on loan. So, can I get around this by arranging friendlies? Are they eligible to play in those? Thanks! jakobx
But is there really such a rule in real life? I mean if you create a friendly unofficial match between your reserves and u18 is there really any law that says which players can play or is it just a bug in the game? BenArsenal
No work permit means they cannot work, and since their work is playing football, even friendlies are ruled out.
Cavenagh
A footballers job is to train and be available for selection as well as play in sanctioned matches. A friendly match is a part of training.
grahamf
Also because the crowd are playing to attend it would be classified as work. There was a Japanese guy studying in the UK who made a couple of appearances for Morcambe as an amatuer but was banned for this reason.
