Ronaldo Beckham
Hiya everyone. I am looking into doing a Build A Nation Challenge on FM2024. I am looking to manage a club in that nation and the nation itself. Similar to ToMexico's attempts but specifically in Europe. I am doing an offline save in Luxembourg and having fun managing there. I want to do something similar for my followers on Twitch. Ideally I want a nation that is known to play a lot of foreign players as I want to try nationalize some of them to end up playing for the national team. Poland and Serbia are the two that stand out to me because players only need to be there for 3 years to become elligible. Here is the list I have so far but I am open to suggestions. Can you let me know your thoughts on these teams and which ones that might interest you. Valetta – Malta Lithuania – Zalgiris Vilnius Estonia – Flora Azerbaijan – Qarabag Bulgaria – CSKA Sofia Bosnia – HSK Zrinjski Mostar Finland – HJK Helsinki Slovenia – NK Maribor Czech Republic – Sparta Prague Serbia – Red Star Belgrde Poland – Lech Poznan
Muttley84
With Sparta and Red Star I dont know if we can consider them building a nation as both Czech R. and Serbia have qualified for CL past years, might be a bit to easy. On the other hand Malta or Baltic countries could be a to long slog. So my vote would go for Bulgaria (though I personally wont play with CSKA giving the real life disputes about the two clubs, maybe Levski) or Bosnia. I did used to manage Litex Lovech a few years a go so I could them again. I liked CSKA's home shirt and also Berbatov started there. Can I ask what is the real life dispute with Sofia about? RoguPL
Lech Poznan - great youth academy and one of the best teams in Poland I may be biased here though since this is my home town. With build a nation don't you want to build another strong team in a nation ? eg. take a team from a div below ? this way you add another good team to pick coeff points. Oh I didn't realize that is what build a nation meant. I am very tempted by Lech Poznan because of Lewandowski starting his career there.

Cska bankrupted and bought a license from a different club to stay in the 1st league. Cska 1948 started from the bottom leagues wanting to do it the right way. And now you have 2 CSKA clubs in the first league. The joys of football in this part of the continent.

I never realized there was 2 teams in Bulgaria basically with the same name. 3 hours ago, Muttley84 said: Cska bankrupted and bought a license from a different club to stay in the 1st league. Oh ok I wont manage them then. Someone elsewhere suggested Lokomotiv Plodiv who have a good reputation of producing good young players.
oche balboa
There are 2 teams in the Romanian Top flight who come from the same club

Surely there should be a rule in place to stop this from happening.
Ronaldo Beckham
I want a team similar to Sheriff Tiraspol who sign a lot of foriegn players but in a nation where it is 5 years max to gain nationality there. Serbia and Poland are pretty good as you only need 3 years to gain nationality. I think so far the teams I am thinking of are Lech Poznan in Poland, Red Star in Serbia, Lokomotiv Plodiv in Bulgara and Mostar in Bosnia.
