Lempicka
I've just just been offered a new manager job and have done the back room staff changes. I receive two new posts in my inbox: 1. The contract offer from the new club 2. A message from my current club asking to discuss my future If I click on the 'discuss future message' and agree to attend the meeting, the board offer me incentives to reconsider (e.g. new contract, more funds, etc). If I decline their new offer, I'm automatically resigned and the new club contract offer disappears. There's also no option to re-apply for the job. Anyone else had this issue? The workaround obviously is to accept the new club offer and not talk to your current board - but it's very confusing. Surely after turning down you old club's revised offer - you should be free to sign for the new club.
phd_angel
Not exactly the same thing but twice I had the job offer withdrawn after I made staff change recommendations. Maybe they ran a background check on you and found some dirt that shall remain secret?...
Prej
I had exactly the same issue. The only workaround I found was not to attend the meeting with your board. Attending it gives you two options: Either you negotiate with your current club and stay (the offer from the other club is automatically dismissed) or you resign from your club, but the other offer is dismissed anyway. No idea why this happens, must be a bug.
