November 2046

We are back fully domesticated. Lovely stuff.

And we've ticked off a nation!!!

USA! USA! USA!

Frankie Parker is a dual national and has made the DMC spot his own. Finally got the champagne that his performances have earned.

We now step into the unknown - with the Play-Off for the NACL.

We started well, but then our Tunisian got sent off and it went downhill from there. Very tough away leg now.

We got recruitment right in the summer - Gérard Ottavi has come in and ticked off another nation - Martinique

Brian Bell has started the season well and has moved past 50 goals for the club.

As predicted there was just too much to do in the 2nd leg

December 2046

Domestically December is the month where we get into our stride.

There's not really much to say apart from the fact that Kenny Edom-Annette is performing well in every position he plays but he can't tick off any nation.

image.png.018853ac3c3ae25c4ddc383ee3499549.png

Is the league already sown up?

January 2047

New Year, same results.

Victory in the Cup thanks to a Christian Davis double.

We followed up with a victory over Sevilla (PUR) - they were 2nd and put us 13 points clear.

Kenny Edom-Annette had some game against Koricancha, scored 2 penalties and was sent off in the 38th minute - that was still enough to get the MoTM award and tick off Guadeloupe.

Spare a thought for Rob Lucas, just back from 7 months out with Damaged Cruciate Ligaments, he's now torn his knee ligaments. See you in another 7 months

image.thumb.png.edba522fed1691b7c6fe4a2790717f90.png

Back on the pitch and right at the end of the month, Shaquille Arias found his shooting, and his creating boots and ticked off Curacao to bring us up to 99 nations.

image.png.bf2faabcd1eae7b544ae783e2fb96775.png

The league is done. Not mathematically but there is no way we won't win it.

Go on boys... impress me..

That's all I said at half-time against PR Sol. 3-0 up and looking for a statement. 8 of the best, thanks very much. Brian Bell with 3 more.

3rd place Fraigcomar are also beaten - I notice that we are yet to concede in 2047 - I wonder what will happen in the next game...

A clean sheet. How odd...

Also odd when a Right Back gets MoTM. Very rare.

image.png.d4f75ad1ad5be2dc6a7a77264bc27ce5.png

19 clear. 21 more points on the table. We can win the league in March - season ends in June.

March 2047

After a bit of a break doing Youth Academy Challenges (that will continue), I'm in the mood for transfers. But first, let's win a trophy.

Christian Davis grabs a hat trick and we win our 4th consecutive Puerto Rican League Title. Happy Days.

Brian Bell is the difference as we beat the bottom side in the league.

image.png.08e9f52d39e22d56447680b60eec99f8.png

Nothing to play for domestically until the Cup Semi in May. Focus turns to trying and getting a nation or two ticked off.

image.png.2679b7370f3742d1fc370d525ec7d7fd.png

At the back end of the month, we had some very routine AFCON Qualifiers.

The squad were told to go nuts. Very Attacking Mentality, and to just go out and enjoy them. They did.

image.png.65b0d80fa3c9dd1425cb9a7e26bb0556.png

The defeat to Zambia was the only blot on our copy book

April 2047

Brian Bell is in the form of his life. A hat-trick against Metropolitan AND a hat-trick against Ballista.

Magic. He's racing towards 100.

I mean he probably won't reach it as he is past 30 but it's the hope...

image.png.a2dfaca3601c54b89cbcf6f07e3d5544.png

He has 74 for me now.

May 2047

Two early goals and we were through in the Cup. We've got a Final ahead folks.

I got excited when Duhaney Miller got the MoTM award for his double penalty against Sevilla - then checked my notes and saw that Jamaica is already ticked off... I have no idea why I signed him if the country has already gone!

image.png.42f123b9ee3983d4cd4dad08bab663a1.png

One more league game.

image.png.6219d70a300973c8df0b4a7ef8d9df8a.png

In the AFCON 2047 draw, it's a tough one

3rd normally gets you through.

June 2047

Internationals take front and centre as it's AFCON time.

This is the 23-man squad that will do battle. Edrisa Wadada is on 96 caps and might make 100 before he retires.

image.png.8c65b11b37e1417d31f78097aa5bba3e.png

A lovely morale-boosting win over the Seychelles which saw Davis Sentamu become Uganda's all-time top scorer. His 32nd goal.

Algeria might prove sterner test. "might". Lol.

The best 90 minutes of my 51-game tenure. A 2-0 win. Sensational.

Cat well and truly amongst the pigeons.

South Africa didn't allow us a sniff, but we are still well-placed going into the Benin game.

image.png.f3a5487658b1fef533e45927f801ce7b.png

Algeria have to get something out of South Africa. Even if they do, 2 wins from 3 should be enough to get us through in 3rd place.

image.thumb.png.0c2cf297106addb0b55a095c6b284872.png

Domestically, a 100% season is completed. I managed 3 in Angola, but they all had draws. This is my first 100% wins.

July 2047

Benin beaten. The only frustration was main right back Enock Shakil getting sent off.

Ivory Coast are a completely different animal. Eeek! Dramane Fofana up front - a legend of my Angolan time.

We kept Fofana quiet, we keep them all quiet, and we progressed

image.png.2b2b07b6c1caba08f9d26d77053a2251.png

We face Tanzania, who are similar in standard to us, but they did knock out Angola.

South Africa and Algeria have both left the competition. Only 1 from Ghana, Tunisia or Egypt will get through and either Morocco or Nigeria will go out.

image.thumb.png.34db022f69b14183cf95c4776a7fe6a2.png

4 key players were suspended. Tanzania was going to come down to 1 piece of magic, and that was provided by Andrew Ssenyondo. That was his 33rd goal for his nation. So the record has changed again!

image.png.4bd037e85ce23c7ebfeb7f3599fde3f7.png

I'm not sure if we have the best draw or if that really matters at the Semi-Final stage. You'd bet on any of them beating us.

image.png.703bae3a7dbcf5163ef193a60d3d1d20.png

Egypt will be too strong? Yep. Massively so, although 2 of their goals come in injury time

image.png.e9302e8494f3045d4fe2433c4baacffc.png

Beaten but proud.

Which meant we had a third-place play-off to focus on

image.png.042faf4f4ec5a4c7e133473e4f261231.png

3rd is a trophy in my eyes!

Achievements wise. We are 7 places away from equaling our best every place. And 9 away from improving the nation by 50. Ssemujju is nearly half way to 50 caps, but he is 30 so might not have enough time.

image.png.4a0af096a5f6b27afe2e0b035ecf5302.png

Whilst this was all going on... we had the domestic cup...

image.png.0fcb5ab7ed55ef2ff6353e78ec5a85fa.png

And we signed an Iraqi international for it. He scored the winner and got the MoTM award.

Our 100th nation.

Well done Hussein Ahmed

Africa continues to drive me insane. Our Tunisian did well but never quite enough. Slow progress is being made with North America.

August 2047

So what are we doing here?

I made a promise when I started in Puerto Rico to not apply for other jobs - so I can't... I physically can't - no domestic jobs appear in the usual screen.

So I have to manually check up on the countries that interest me.

To win the North American Champions League, I need to be in a professional league - Canada is 100% professional and my preferred location, but jobs are like hen's teeth. Panama is a slightly larger league but again, completely professional. Jobs are very much at a premium. Cuba is also loaded but I don't think it's the right place for the challenge. Maybe as a short-term thing.

Puerto Rico is home for now. But not a domestic challenge.

image.png.b64ee25abfa36d779cdbb430e07be3fa.png

I have four short-term objectives

  1. Brian Bell - has 73 goals for me in this save, I want to get him to 100 - he's 31 and fading but should get goals still.
  2. I have 5 Fgn Slots - I want to use these to continue to tick off nations.
    1. Tunisia
    2. Guatemala
    3. Iraq - ticked off last season but the player is good enough to help us in the Champions League quest
    4. Montenegro - I'll be honest, he looked better when we scouted him, but he's non-contract so hopefully it's a quick in and out and move him on
    5. Aruba - should be good enough to tick it off fairly sharpishly. He won't join until September.
  3. Become a Club Legend - I am currently only seen as Favoured Personel, despite winning 4 straight league titles and 2 cups. It's a tough crowd
  4. Win the Champions League - we won't do it here. But it's on the pad.

Hopefully, in a couple of seasons, Brian Bell will have his 100, we will be a Legend, and we will have ticked off another 10 or so nations.

Then we can get on a plane to either Panama or Canada.

Simples.

But enough of that.

Let's get into the action.

We were without the Montenegran or the Aruban as they were signed too late to be registered.

Christian Davis got a couple but it's a bad defeat in the Dominican Republic.

image.png.b721fb3a62bb442c10407c60085e30be.png

In the same month, but the "new" season, same old Brian Bell. A nice treble to start him off. 76*

I would like to thank the board for selling one of my best young talents to one of our rivals and ignoring my protests. The resign button looked tempting.

image.png.0f8fc7c6044c5300f074dd9c77c7ea92.png

A couple of days on the island of Trinidad and Tobago helped settle me down.

image.png.5853ff88e531167fccafab4590fc8fda.png

We have to beat Portmore United in our final game, and hope that they draw in the final match - they play each other. Oh and hope that Cibao lose to Caledonia

October 2047

There is ALWAYS Guatemala

Javier Garcia gets a goal, and the MoTM accolades and we end our NACL group campaign with victory. Time will tell if it's enough.

101st nation ticked off.

image.png.c21deb669ec731a277cbb1d07835e512.png

We sit back and wait for the final game at the end of the month.

I've also signed an Argentinian striker - it takes us over the 5 Foreigners but he's worth it. He's too good for us domestically so should tick that nation off sharpish.

Thanks to the victory over Portmore, we top the group. We face Mount Pleasant in the Play-Off - they knocked us out last year.

image.thumb.png.26e6223c0c470e987a7d519a18f6d86a.png

We have an international match for Uganda. Ronald Ntege is an 18 year old keeper who is here for experience. Geoffrey Matovu is 17 and a striker. They are both very highly rated.

image.png.cf3724fff6238a80aa49f5a050fbaae1.png

Matovu made his debut in a comfortable victory

November 2047

PR Sol is where the 2047/48 season commences, Christian Davis gets the only goal and we are off.

A massive home win against Mount Pleasant, with Brian Bell getting a double, we've let them in a bit with two late goals.

Argentina gets ticked off, but it's our first points dropped since the season before last. Ricardo Salvatierra get's his first for the club, 102nd nation achieved.

Aruba gets a double in the first 8 minutes and I'm thinking it's another nation down, but alas the rest of the side take over and it's an around star showing from all.

We've made it out of our region for the NACL for the first time. Getting past Mount Pleasant was a Pleasant experience, or not a Mount too far? Which bad pun, Choose for yourself.

CF América in the next round... GULP...

image.png.a0d7bbd56569c3adecf2cab8e2bf0e8e.png

On the international front we had Liberia for a World Cup Qualifier - a double header (two games)

image.png.a642968edc6e1081fb858bbd522aa0ff.png

The press called for a demolition job. And they got it.

8 of the best.

Complete rotation for the 2nd leg. A debut for Ronald Ntege in nets.

This explains the result.

image.png.f9bd4f10afbca84748ec353e8a23e038.png

We await the group stages with quiet expectation.

image.png.72bd71190e1f1e349d9ac8b2ac0d0bcb.png

There should be no problems qualifying from that group.

December 2047

A league defeat. Holy Hell. Not seen that for a while.

Brian Bell returns things to normality and we go top of the table.

This is almost disaster territory - a 2nd defeat in the month.

There is 3 points between 6th and top - victory over Metropolitan puts us back at the summit.

Brian Bell continues to find the back of the net - he's now onto 85 with the club.

image.png.2fdcf79408901a052255eb75fc4727dc.png

Seville win a game in hand and despite us ending the month with back to back victories we sit 2nd as we enter 2048,

3 more for Brian Bell. 88 - could the century be on this season?

13 more league games, at least 3 more cup games. I think it could be on.

A potentially huge match against Seville goes our way thanks to Frankie Parker getting a double

image.png.6905798b05301de27c1afb02513a5856.png

We are now at the part of the season where games become sporadic. Or the bit in the season where I start to get a little bored.

February 2048

Ricardo Salvatierra has been a little quiet this season, for a player of his ability -  a treble at 3rd placed Ballista wakes everyone up.

Bell gets his goal too.

2 league games, and 2 league wins but everyone is focused on the NACL.

A trip to Mexico. A certain defeat, but hopefully some cash out of it.

Our new Honduran scored, but it's a heavy defeat. And there is still the away leg to go. It's a record attendance as well.

image.png.2fdf8c6eaf29f81732f587947067895c.png

500k taken across the two legs.

All of a sudden the bank balance looks good again.

March 2048

Victory over PR Sol puts us 3 points clear, and 7 unbeaten.

The cup was a chance to get a nation ticked off, but nothing happened until Extra Time before Brian Bell got back into scoring mode - he's moved onto 90. 10 more games left. He needs a few decent games to hit it this season.

A 2nd league win ends the month domestically.

image.png.bb91090b408e90e0681d879841f47070.png

Sevilla have fallen away so we now look comfortable.

image.png.74b576f1a6633dcd42987758e6d6b2a1.png

On the international front, we start our next AFCON qualification cycle.

Two relatively simple games, and two new additions to the squad - neither are that "hot" right now. Denis Kisekka is an 18-year-old Left Back/Centre Back who is included as we have a couple of injuries, and Yakubu Anaku is a 16-year-old Right Winger/Striker who has 5* potential and is at one of the bigger clubs - he might become something.

7 of our squad is 30 or over, there is nothing much coming through.

image.png.f2a0b16290b8f4a161745596bbf8b2ac.png

The hattrick for Andrew Ssenyondo puts him back on top of the scoring charts. He has 38, Davis Sentamu has 36. They are both 30, so will probably interchange the trophy for a couple of years.

Injuries meant we called up Joshua Kisekka and he made his debut against Sudan. At 24 he's come late to my plans but he's had an alright season domestically. He get's a 6.0 as we are well and truly FM'ed.

image.png.90741b2417336dbb6ea4c1e7355903e7.png

It turns out Sudan beat South Africa as well.

April 2048

Brian Bell gets 4 in two league games to fly through the gears - 94*

The hat-trick was against the side second in the table so feels like a double win. It puts us 11 clear with 6 to play.

In the Cup Semi Final, away to a 2nd tier side, we play a front 5 of nations we are yet to tick off.

Our Tunisian Centre Back scores 4 goals, but he is outdone by Bruce Bynoe who is an academy graduate from Suriname with 3 assists. #103

May 2048

Time is running out for Zoubaier Essoussi to tick off Tunisia, and complete Africa. He's out of contract at the end of the campaign and absolutely wants to go back home.  He's got 10 goals this season. He's on penalties and plays a bit up front. Always hurt in the team talks as he is a Centre Back. No wonder he wants to leave.

A rare man of the match award for a keeper, Bob Croft has a good game to see us past Club Athletico Fajardo,

Brian Bell gets goal 95 to ensure that we retain our league title.  Our 5th straight title.

image.png.3c4797143dd71fdf75865099a8165048.png

Despite our success the fans still only see me as a favourite person

June 2048

Routine. That's the flavour of the month. Two victories in the league and an International friendly.

But it's a good day for Honduras - Marco Soriano picks up the MoTM award but he hasn't scored, so it's not a great day. Yet...

image.png.a5e6f40ae5107aa65e628b8e5cd347cd.png

Hussein Ahmed has gone to APOEL in Cyprus.

The Ugandan squad welcomed back a few from injuries, and a new face, 23-year-old Steven Dese Wafula, a right sided midfielder.

image.png.60faac82e1c761c58d53b19d14b75886.png

If you arrived late, then you would have missed it all

image.png.0249dfec3c844ea28d0e41bd041a80f7.png

This is where we sit in achievements. No real change - we played 5 games and Shafik Ssemujju played all 5.

July 2048

Before the final kicks off, Javier Garcia (Guatemala) and Gérard Ottavi (Martinique) move to new clubs. Both did their job.

Brian Bell makes it safe with club goal 96. He has two more games this season to score 4 times. It's possible.

He can't score away at Sevilla, but Marco Soriano does, and that's Honduras ticked off.

We go absolutely ballistic against Ballista, and Brian Bell does it - he needed 4 and got 4. Ticks off an achievement.

image.png.a0f3ba10d9252f09f8e747a37b4915ce.png

Bell's record:

  • 71 Liga PR goals
  • 13 Copa de Puerto Rico goals
  • 16 North American Champions League goals

He's now seen as an ICON by the fans.

I'm still a favoured person. STILL

927 games for me in the save now.

image.png.60a2764ce3367e0c1233df1c8b1a93fa.png

We end the month saying good-bye to some old players.

Maldonado was a useful squad player but wanted to be a star player and he isn't good enough for that. Klapper and Montoya are now back-ups, we have plenty of kids coming through. Essoussi never ticked off Tunisia and didn't want to stay. I have a new Tunisian at the club and he will tick the nation off. Soon.

NACL starts. The boys have had their week off between seasons and we are looking refreshed.

There's something about the first game of the NACL that kicks us in the crotch. A 5-2 defeat. Balls...

But we are able to bounce back in some style.

No one has gotten away yet but it'll need maximum points from here I think.

Our signings have a local feel about - 4 coming in, and they are all Puerto Ricans.

Mark Agüeros is a DMC, Ed Daniels is a Centre Back, Eddie Hernández a Striker, and Jason Laurie is another DMC - all of them current internationals. Annyoingly I agreed to loan Daniels back to his former club for the season.  Never agree on terms when not fully concentrating folks.

image.png.f8add8c375d23740b752dad65e504326.png

I've gone domestic as we already have a full quota of FGN players, and there isn't much in the offering on the remaining North American nations currently

image.png.bd67db518883bd2a73f2ef3f6e63205b.png

The Champions League is gone.

image.png.cc8964213737191c494a8b5f43f237b2.png

Knocked out with a game to spare.

image.thumb.png.e5e0497d49e0dd39db29391f613207a7.png

It's also a big month for the international side—home to South Africa, and then looking for revenge away to Sudan.

Our squad to the two games. The only new man is Joseph Ssenyondo who is a 16-year-old DMC, he's here for the experience.

image.png.9b93949a28f204bac7fc35aaa923dcbd.png

It must be said - South Africa is a shadow of its former glories. True we scored 3 times late on but this was a whipping in anyone's language.

It does seem that nothing can stop the Sudanese juggernaut

We are in a battle with South Africa for the last spot. We should beat Eq. Guinea and they will need to get something from Sudan before we go head-to-head.

October 2048

An update with little to no update.

A Champions League game when we are already out

Two World Cup Qualifiers, and as we are at the start of the group, they don't mean a hill of beans...

Let's start with the domestic stuff, well Continental stuff.

And it's a nation done. Danilo Perović has been non-contract for a while and not registered for much. He's completed Montenegro and will get released fairly sharpishly.

His release means we can bring in another foreigner.

image.png.8d83a591f3ea1e80e27a0540e68082a9.png

We are at full strength in Uganda for the national side.

image.png.0c32f11e3a9e465e398e556f2ffb833b.png

Steven Dese Wafula has taken to international football like a duck to the wet stuff, he get's his 3rd MoTM award in 4 games in the 5-2 win over Benin, Frank Sentamu makes his 100th cap against Madagascar. He's one of 9 players in their 30s that we have in the squad.

It's our backbone and engine room. I don't look forward to the day they retire.

November 2048

Regular Football returns!

And finally... Africa is a nation completely ticked off...

Bahaeddine Kamergi is a right winger that we are paying an extremely good wage to play for us. Twice most of the rest of the squad, but he has finally ticked off the 57th African Nation which means I no longer have to worry about Tunisia. Ever again. It took him 4 games. Zoubaier Essoussi played 57 games.

On a roll.. Cooking on Gas... Aruba ticked off.

Fercand Poppen with a hat-trick and another nation falls. Annoyingly just after the registration window closes.

A clean sweep, scoring goals, not conceding, and nations ticked off. A decent month

December 2048

December starts with dropped points. It means we are 21 games unbeaten, but the Brazilian Soccer Academy (BSA) proved a tough nut to crack.

Eddie Hernandez comes to the party with a brace to put PR Sol back down.

More good stuff from Hernandez and we are starting to create a bit of a gap at the top.

The year's league campaign was bought to a conclusion that's to our Argentine Ricardo Salvatierra bringing up his 16th goal of the season.

Full rotation for the cup - we've bought in an Indian, a Trinidadian, and a Bermudan - all making debuts. No-one scored and we crashed out. Bit of a waste really.

January 2049

It's Chilly tonight.

And I had Chilli for tea.

And we've ticked off a nation... can you guess which one?

Yep, you guessed it... Guam...

No, Chile. Natanael Guglielmotti scores a goal and gets MoTM and we are laughing into our 108th nation.

A fan day win over Sevilla puts us 10 points clear.

Brian Bell returns from injury to score his first league goal of the campaign.

image.png.08df458bc40aa2076d5f32699998f5e5.png

A massive gap to the rest

February 2049

With the league all but secured, now becomes time to tick off nations. 19 left in North America.

With the transfer window opening, it's time for a fire sale, moving on the unhappy players and the foreigners that have done their jobs. We may well meet Alvarez again and Crookham was a very solid RB option.

image.png.8f6929906d1df2ecdce30a4311d6735a.png

A win and a draw in the league

image.png.455ff50f7803948593952885ec3dc608.png

10 more games left in Puerto Rico - it's time to move on.

March 2049

It's time to admit defeat - they will never love me, so I will leave them at the end of the season

image.png.5810e88d4641f59f56744249ffecc747.png

And to celebrate....

The first league defeat of the season

image.png.6cd10637a55be98dd33993ae1c10eeba.png

Fortunately, I can distract myself with Uganda.

2 AFCON qualifiers.

Our squad - Frank Sentamu is about to retire so this will be his swansong.

image.png.d76a559c25507baed719bd630caf8e42.png

Old Frank scores off the bench and we beat Eq Guinea.

We just need a point in South Africa to qualify.

Ah well.

image.png.684cf0d10a5f5f928cc373196f853b36.png

Ultimately the double that Sudan inflicted on us had a massive impact

Feels like a good move to leave Puerto Rico as the chances to win the NACL there are slim, but may make it harder to complete the countries as you seem to have a lot of the smaller islands in the Caribbean left. Although with a really good team you could probably get a Montserrat centre back to score a hat trick anywhere :D

1 plan is to swing through the Caribbean and tick off as many of the randoms as I can, and the other is to focus on winning the NACL with either Canada or Panama - the two biggest leagues, that meet the criteria, that are fully professional.

Both approaches have their pluses and minuses - all depends on what becomes available.

April 2049

We have not won a game since February. Panic Stations.

Oh wait, it's 1 game.

As you were.

Or not.

A 4-4 draw, we have Ricardo Salvatierra to thank for rescuing a point.

An ugly victory over PR Sol dispels any rumours that the bubble has burst. Puts us 13 clear with 5 left to play.

May 2049

Home to the side bottom of the table.

Surely a chance to both secure the league title AND tick off a nation?

Yes! Bevan Hernandez from Guyana, one of our recent new recruits, scores his 3rd for the club, and gets the MoTM award.

Of course, now I am leaving, I become an Icon

image.png.20ed5561d3a6f51042fefe6c55e70337.png

With the title secure, I have decided to walk away 3 games early.

June 2049

A friendly against Tunisia.

image.png.b46e1d2d20eb13564dfd08f8baef7e86.png

We've not got the AFCON to prepare for so maybe this is a chance to get some points towards the rankings.

But we've got to win it first.

And boy what a win

image.png.03ac9ea59ab468c0757a72ff458b1d03.png

We sit 71st in the world.

And that will be that... until either September or I get a job.

Welcome to Panama.

We have a minimal squad, favourites for relegation, and no staff to help me recruit. This might be short and sweet.

My hope will be to keep things together this year and build. Focus is on getting good, rather than nations. If I can get a nation at the same time, then even better.

Well done on reaching 25%, that's a fine achievement. I'm always interested in saves in countries you don't see very often, I always worry about crashes loading many data files at once though. Yours has been stable so far though by the look of it?

I only have a maximum of 3 nations loaded at one time - currently Panama, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

In a few months Puerto Rico will be removed and Saint Marten will come in.

Touchwood things are working out okay.

July 2049

Come in...

Why do you want this job...

That's been my month.

Lots of recruitment meetings, lots of rejections, lots of gambles.

Let's talk players.

10 deals were done, with the highlights being

  • Donovan Louis - a Striker from the Bahamas
  • Jhon Castaneda - an attacking midfielder from Colombia
  • Johan Sanchez - a keeper from Costa Rica
  • Pablo Toledo - a left winger who was released from my previous employer - has already played for Puerto Rico and is only 18

3 are nationalities that we haven't got and are good enough to be regular starters. A win/win

The rest are Panamanian depth

image.png.9bab4c620cfc3a921b435ac305662e2d.png

We have 27 players and 4 Foreigners.

Room for more in January.

Although a Mexican has already been sourced and signed. So we are at the limit for Foreigners. Or will be.

August 2049

We are 600-1 to win the league. If we win it, then that will tell you all you need to know about the strength of Panamanian football.

We led 2-0 but faded badly to pick up a point on the opening day. Bahamian Donovan Louis scored which was nice.

Louis went one better against Chepo - a double and a man of the match which means the Bahamas is secured, #110

The scale and size of the victory suggests that the standard ain't great. They got promoted with us last season. So maybe it's a similar club to us.

A man of the match display from keeper Johan Sanchez was his first half decent display. Louis scored the late, very late winner. Sanchez is immediately put on penalties to tick off the nation. It's a waiting game now.

I've signed Brian Bell - I can't play him until 2050 and he's Emergency Back-Up but I want him on my staff eventually.

Another fine display from Sanchez AND a goal means we have out #111th nation. Costa Rica

We are also unbeaten. It would appear we are good enough to challenge this year. If we continue the run.

image.png.e3e1882991497d5dfc9efce251132568.png

The next Ugandan squad has been named. Returns for Davis Sentamu and Mustafa Kigonya from injury mean we are pretty much full strength.

September 2049

First up some internationals.

Cameroun away, which will be tough, and Madagascar at home, which won't be.

Cameroun was done in 12 minutes in the first half. Blown away.

And this was exactly what we did to Madagascar.

image.png.57ad315ebdaa45f649ca8cbf97594ea1.png

Two games left so we should be okay to qualify. We also top the 2nd place qualifiers at the moment so one more win (Benin next month) should be enough.

image.thumb.png.a743cd3574bb5b074184b46476bbd1b8.png

On the domestic front, we tasted our first defeat of the season before something kind of happened...

image.png.9e16353c14760ba009138681d0befc2b.png

A job came up in Canada - somewhere I want to go...

  • It's a much higher reputation club, in a much higher reputation league so offers me the best possible chance of winning the Champions League. Panama's top flight is 17th, Canada's only flight is 11th - ironically it's 1 lower than Puerto Rico but all the teams are Professional
  • I like Canada.
  • Panama didn't excite me - I lasted 62 days and it felt a bit too easy.

Panama got me 2 nations so it wasn't a complete waste of time!

I also get to say hello again to Carlos Álvarez who I had in Puerto Rico.

We start with the league leaders, Cavalry, but I manage to get the club's first win in months, thanks to a double for Amir Ramzan, who has also ticked off Canada.

Canada has a huge amount of dual nationals, currently, they are all declared for Canada, but if they switch we could be laughing, we do have a Right Back from Palestine, and that's a nation we don't have in the collection.

It's amazing what the new manager bounce can do

image.png.f8f26ae235b00642f986ac9a7c426ca0.png

There are 2 games left in the season. We might catch 5th. I am optimistic for next season

October 2049

I promise I wont change jobs this month.

Internationals first, and a World Cup to qualify for.

And it's done in style, Enock Shakil leading from the back to help secure a win in Benin.

It feels like my entire right side is injured (two players, but they are both Right-wingers) so replacements are called up. Stephen Sentamu joins the squad for the first time, he's 16 and will start the game from the bench.

We lose to Cameroun but qualify for the World Cup as the best of the 2nd placers

image.png.cfd29b024f2254312f11e525640785f9.png

The domestic season ends with a whimper as we rotate and see what the squad is like.

image.png.fc4f8a2becce31a722023758d105d067.png

We shall do well next year.

image.png.38ae7b5c6d92bf273b35644d99cfa242.png

A home friendly against the Ivory Coast. A cheeky attempt at improving our World Ranking.

March 2050

I've gone full-tilt sentimental

  • Bob Croft - keeper from Quintana, the Puerto Rican club, he's 21 and has played 146 times for me. Young enough to improve and will go for the 500 appearances for a North American Player Challenge
  • Raul Cruz - was a Youth Player in Angola (many years ago) who I sold to the Far East money in 2036/37. He's in the last throws of his professional career, but even though he is 36, he's still a top player. He's doing his badges and will become part of the backroom. He's retiring in June so I won't benefit from his playing experience for long.
  • Ricardo Salvatierra - my Argentinian tick, 37 goals in 48 games, he'll be the guy that gets 100 goals for a South American Player. He's also young enough to challenge the 500 but that might be an outside bet
  • Carlos Fernandez - Venezualan. A missing nation
  • Granville Edgar - Cayman Islands - not good enough but he has a very good finishing attribute so might just do it
  • Kurt Chamberlain, a Canada AMC. No reason for signing him apart from the need to have another option. Boring really.

image.png.9cfb774e46cae67eb3a59f604532dd86.png

In the out-tray, the only one of note was my Palestinian Right Back - a nation still to tick off, but I did get a fee for him.

image.png.0d58fe78affbf832b85016310a95076b.png

image.png.beeff25a8cfb65ffef204909b4b04679.png

We also got back onto the Ugandan Train. A World Cup fast approaching, but first a friendly in Ethiopia.

image.png.0ca92c5b4cc0876d5fc8d4043afadc7a.png

A tidy, almost routine victory. It was expected as they are 134th in the world.

Our World Cup may well be brief.

April 2050

It's go time.

We kick off the ENTIRE league.

Away to Forge.

A derby as well - only 60km between Hamilton (Forge) and York. In Canada that is just around the corner.

A great start, before ending up hanging on. Łukasz Brzozowski is a striker we can all get excited about. 2 goals. He's Canadian/Polish.

Ricardo Salvatierra, Bob Croft and Raul Cruz become the 19th, 20th, and 21st players to play for me at 2 different clubs.

A very assured performance from our new Venezuelan Carlos Fernández earns him the MoTM award - all missing was a goal. It wont be long #penalties.

The unbeaten run was maintained at Pacific thanks to a double in stoppage time. Proper Tidy.

A lovely month, a sea of green.
