Our work in eSwatini is done, and now we must move on. There is only one path now and that is to Mozambique next.

A close look shows the next country should be Mozambique, probably followed by Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, and then back to Zambia and on from there.

Ferroviario de Maputo - Introduction to Club

We were not out of a job for very long as we got appointed to Ferroviario de Maputo on the 12th June 2044.

Ferroviario are one of, if not the most successful clubs in Mozambique, so this should be a nice launchpad for us.

The season is already underway, so this will be season 0, as per the rules of this save. The team is not doing well and we will need to turn it around as we float just above the relegation places. They were predicted to finish 3rd but clearly things have gone awry.

This is according to the club screen our best player at the club.

Our first half month has been good as we get two league wins to put some space between us and the drop and we get through the Mozambique Cup. Still a long way to go until the team is fluent with the tactic and morale is back up to where I would want it but progress is being made.

After another great month, we are now staring at the other end of the table and there is only 5 points between us and the summit of the table. We keep finding a way to win and I am very happy that we are able to do that this early on into our tenure.

The turnaround has been amazing as we push to 2nd place, just two points behind Ferroviario da Beira. One thing you will notice about Mozambique is that there are a lot of Ferroviario's around with very similar badges. Not sure why, assume it is related to the creation of the railways due to the name the clubs have but it is a bit strange. Anyway things are going very well for us.

We went out of the cup on penalties this month but the league form has continued to be impressive. The win against Desportivo de Nacala could be huge, we won 8-0 and that massively narrows the goal difference between ourselves and Beira, going into the final four games of the league season.

We are going to need some help to win the league from here. We have one game left against bottom of the table Pemba. Beira are a point behind, have a superior goal difference and have two games left against Ferroviario de Nampula (8th) and Costa do Sol (12th). We probably need them to lose at least one of those games for us to be champions.

Not to be this year, we smashed Pemba on the final day but Beira won their two remaining games, even our draw earlier in the year against Maxaquense, had we won that, it probably still would not have been enough as they ended up with a better goal difference by 3. Not to worry, we did amazingly to even be in the running and we will be back next year looking for some measure of revenge.

The boys have come out to play again this time around and we have started the season like a house on fire with 7 straight league wins and a win in the cup. We even beat Beira 4-0 to show our title credentials. Things are looking good and hopefully we can maintain it to get the objectives for Mozambique, namely winning the league sorted this season.

We suffered our first loss in the league this month, a bit unexpected but we are still a mile ahead. We opened our CAF Confederation Cup campaign this month against Jazeera of Somalia and they did not present much of a challenge as we knocked them over pretty easily. Things will get harder as we got Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas in the next round.

A good month for us as we continue to put the league to the sword, it should not be long now before we are crowned champions. In the Confed Cup ASEC were too good for us and dispatched us from the tournament in the return leg in the Ivory Coast.

EDIT: Just realised we I got confused, we were knocked out of the Champions League and into the Confederation Cup.

The title was in the bag early in the month, the gap to Beira is absolutely gigantic, a massive 23 points. We also reached the Mozambique Cup Final where we will face Beira, to see if we can capture a double this season. The Confederation Cup Group Stage have been drawn and we have played our first match in it. We got a nice win over Uganda's Vipers. In the other game Club Africain of Tunisia beat Salitas of Burkina Faso. That competition will continue in the offseason.

Only Confed Cup action this month, and we a game away from being qualified for the Quarter Final stage. The draw against Salitas is enough to ensure we enter the game against Club Africain with the advantage. We still have an outside chance of finishing 1st, but results need to go our way.

We got through Club Africain at home to qualify for the Quarter Finals in 2nd place, we drew Ghanaian side Hearts of Oak and we are in a bit of a tough spot after the first leg having lost it 3-1. It is going to be tough to recover from here.

Well the month started off on a sour note as we exited the Confed Cup, which was expected, but we then recovered from that to win the Super Cup again this season and we started the league very well this season with a nice 5-0 win in the season opener.

We drew Primiero de Agosto of Angola, an old enemy we know well and we managed to beat them handsomely to reach the group stages of the Champions League. in the league, three more wins mean we are eyeing up a potential unbeaten season.

After getting battered by SuperSport United, we needed to beat ASEC Mimosas to give ourselves any chance of qualifying and we got the win. We will need to beat Raja Casablanca in our final group game and hope that SuperSport get something against ASEC to qualify and that seems like a tall order.
