No games in January but we were back in February and we are just about holding on to top spot in the league. In the Champions League we picked up 4 points, which secures ourselves top spot in the group and progress to the Quarter Finals. In the Nedbank Cup we came through our 1st Round game without any issues.

A perfect month for us as we finalise our position in the Champions League with a big final fixture win over Vipers. We get through in the Nedbank Cup against Ajax Cape Town and we keep a perfect record in the league to extend our lead at the top of the league.

We are at the business end of the season and it is still extremely tight in the league. We have dropped down to 2nd place, but we do have a game in hand over SuperSport United and could overtake them with a win. In the Champions League we drew fellow ABSA Premiership side Ajax Cape Town and beat them easily over two legs. We then face ES Setif of Algeria and have a very strong lead going into the second leg having won the first leg 3-0. We also made it through to the Nedbank Cup Final with a big semi final win over Kaizer Chiefs. We are on to win every tournament we entered this year, and it would be an amazing way to cap off our Bloemfontein Celtic career.

It was a bittersweet month for us in the end as we lost the Champions League to Al Ahly quite convincingly by 3-0, but we did manage to win the Nedbank Cup and the ABSA Premiership. The Premiership was a very close run thing, the win against SuperSport on the penultimate weekend gave us the leadership of the league again and we were faced with a difficult final game with Kaizer Chiefs away. A draw would have been enough but we came through with the win to make sure. In the Nedbank Cup it was a one sided win as we battered Maritzburg United in the final. That concludes our time in South Africa.

Well our job in South Africa is complete and we must now move on. Looking at the map, the only logical choice is to move to Lesotho next, as moving to eSwatini would mean having to come back for Lesotho, so we get Lesotho out the way and then we can move to eSwatini after that.

Roma Rovers - Introduction to Club

It did not take us long to find a job in Lesotho and we take on Roma Rovers of the Lesotho Premier League (also know as the Econet Premier League).

One previous title to the clubs name, which happened back in the mid 1990's

Last seaosn the club finished in 10th place. They were predicted to finish in 11th, so they did pretty okay considering the expectations. This might be a tough challenge, looking at LCS at the top winning league undefeated this last season. Hopefully we can at least pick up one title in the first four years, to keep our stay in Lesotho to the minimum.

I don't think we have any staff at the club, so difficult to tell who the best player is but it is probably this guy, Bruce Tanka.

A very nice month for us as we keep up the pressure on LDF. Four wins and no goals conceded in the month, I think the players are adapting well to the system, but LDF are playing some nice stuff and they are going to take some stopping this season.

If you are wondering why we were awarded the Lesotho Under 21s Group 1, that is because we have also had to take over the Under 21s games as I could not assign to other staff and could not find an Under 21 manager.

As i had expected we did not make it past the Prelims in the Champions League as Petro de Luanda saw us off 4-2 on aggregate although we gave them two tough games. The friendlies have gone well enough and I think we are just beginning to get back to fluency.

We are out of the cup; and as I have said we have continued to be a bit sloppy. We were better towards the end of the month, but the team whilst not losing games is not at it's fluent best at the moment. Despite all that we do sit in 2nd place in the league one point behind LDF.

Roma Rovers - August 2038

We got a rematch of the Champions League Prelims from last year, again against Petro de Luanda, and while we did get a draw at home, they smashed us away to go through. Elsewhere we have been patchy in pre-season but I hope we are ready for the new season.

A decent start to the season, although we always seem to have problem our season opener and got a draw again this time around. We did get through in the cup though which is good and we are there or there abouts in the early going in the league season.
