AKMartin Posted December 1, 2018 Share Posted December 1, 2018 I am managing in the 3rd tier of the Portuguese system and need to have 2 home grown players in the match day squad. However, even the new regen youth players are not classified as home grown, so I need to leave a position on the bench empty (I have 1 left over from original squad). How do players become HGC? JordanMilly Posted December 1, 2018 Share Posted December 1, 2018 It usually says on the squad registration screen, but I'm pretty sure that the player has to have been at your club (and not on loan) for at least 3 years between their 15th and 21st birthdays to count as club home grown.
