Apologies if I am dense, but where is my mouse cursor in the FM15 editor?

I'm running FM15 editor on my Toshiba laptop. When I load it up, my mouse cursor disappears anywhere inside the windowed editor. I figured out that I can't scroll down through the categories with the laptop's touchpad, so I added a wireless mouse. I can now scroll through the Database categories, but I can't access the People filter box or the Add option, because there is no mouse cursor to click on these areas. My mouse cursor works everywhere on the screen OUTSIDE of the Editor window, but disappears as soon as I move below the window bar up top.

Fixes/suggestions?

Have you tried changing it to windowed?

it's default to windowed, if I alt/enter to full-screen I still don't have a mouse. I can't find anything with the Google to indicate what's wrong.

yep, I've tried those, too, went into mouse controls and turned "trails" on and off, it's like the Editor doesn't WANT to be moused.
