col_nufc1
Looking good and nice upgrades Cheers mate, we really need to be producing some homegrown talent as the only one who has come through the clubs academy is Antti Holmstrom.
col_nufc1
Nebojsa Jovandic joins from Melbourne Victory on a Bosman free transfer, he will be a backup player and one I will possibly sell next season to make a quick profit on him. Michael Kwarteng joins as a free agent and will become our 3rd choice goalkeeper, he adds to our already large American revoultion.
col_nufc1
June 2019. We add our second Champions League trophy to the trophy cabinet after beating 10 man Barcelona 3-2 at the Camp Nou. We were 3-1 up until a Lionel Messi free kick in the 90th minute set up a squeaky bum injury time. Another perfect month for us in the Veikkausliiga which see's us go top of the table, I think we could go unbeaten in the league this year as we look far to good compared to the other teams in the Veikkausliiga. col_nufc1
Nice win against Barcelona and congrats on the CL! Cheers mate, I thought Barcelona would of beat us easily and to be fair if they didn't have a man sent off after 45 mins they probably would of, but I'll still take it . col_nufc1
Prince Milambo joins the club as a free agent having been released from Lyon, he's one for the future and looks like he could turn into a quality centre back. Riccardo Chieppa joins the club as a free agent having been released by Juventus, he is another youngster that will hopefully push on to become a first team player sooner rather than later. Hector Walker joins the club as a free agent having been released from Manchester United, the Argentine centre back has dual nationality and is also eligible for England. col_nufc1
July 2019. We are making the Veikkausliiga look ridiculously easy here as we win all our games in July very comfortably and increase our lead at the top of the table to 17 points over 2nd placed FC Honka. A little challenge for us now is to see if win can go the whole season in the Veikkausliiga with a 100% win record, I've probably just jinxed us now and we'll lose/draw our next game . col_nufc1
Champions League Group D. For the first time we were in the first seeds for the Champions league group draw and we've been handed a decent group whereby I am fairly confident that we'll qualify from. col_nufc1
Robson arrives from Brazilian side Corinthians for a fee of £1.4m, he will be a key player and will be retrained to be able to play in the AMC position. Byron Boyd joins us from Harbour View on a free transfer, he has only been signed as we have a goalkeeping crisis at the moment. Ilias Boussoufa joins us as a free agent having been released by Lyon, he's one for the future and will be loaned out to our feeder club Jippo for the last few games of the season. Kyle Nixon was a free agent having been released by Los Angeles Galaxy, he is another one for the future and will go into our U19 squad for now. Quentin Gautier joins us as a free agent having been released by Lyon, he will be another one for the future and will go into our U19's this season and will go on loan next season. Liam Harper was another free agent having been released by Chelsea, he is a natural in both fullback and wing back positions and will be spending the rest of the season in the U19's. col_nufc1
August 2019. We have dropped our first points of the season after our 2-2 draw with JJK in a game were we were 2-0 down so even though I am a little bit disapointed that we won't finish the season with a 100% win record, I am happy that the team don't know when they are beaten. We got beat off PSG in the European Super cup 6-5 on penalties after the two teams couldn't be separated after 120 minutes of football, with the game finishing 1-1. col_nufc1
I have decided to terminate our link with Club Brugge for a couple of reasons, first a club that has won the Champions League twice shouldn't have any club as a parent club and secondly Club Brugge never sent us any players on loan when I was trying to build the club up. Dexter_Morgan
Amazing work to have 2 CL's to your name and you are certainly the top team in Finland now. I noticed you said about the quality of youth in Finland is pretty poor, I think the fact most clubs have rented facilities (IIRC) doesn't really help, do you know if the other clubs are doing any improvements to that side of things? col_nufc1
Keep it up Amazing work to have 2 CL's to your name and you are certainly the top team in Finland now. I noticed you said about the quality of youth in Finland is pretty poor, I think the fact most clubs have rented facilities (IIRC) doesn't really help, do you know if the other clubs are doing any improvements to that side of things? Cheers lads , I've just had a look through the teams in the Veikkausliiga and pretty much everybody apart from us, FC Honka and HJK all have poor, minimal or adequate facilities. This is what ours, FC Honka and HJK facilities look like at the moment and these are the best Finland has to offer. As you can see it's very poor standard and until the other Finnish clubs get more ambitious it's not going to get any better unfortunately . We are currently in the process of updating both the youth and training facilities but the option to increase our youth recruitment isn't available to us yet. col_nufc1
Youth Candidates Day 2019. Another awful youth intake for us and not one of them will be kept on, not even on youth contracts.
col_nufc1
September 2019. We have won the Suomen cup again after rather easily beating TPS 4-0 in the final. We also won our first Champions League group match against Turkish side Galatasaray 4-0 and even though only one match has been played in the group stages I think us and Lyon will be qualifying from this group. We have also added our sixth Veikkausliiga title and the only challenge left this season is for us to try and score 100 goals in the league, we need 15 goals from 5 games so it's certainly possible for us to do it.
col_nufc1
October 2019. The Veikkausliiga has now finished and we couldn't quite manage to score 100 goals in the league this season but 98 goals in 33 games isn't too shabby I don't think. A win and a draw in the Champions league this month for us but the draw with Lyon is probably the best game I have ever seen on FM as both sides attacked each other in a end to end game that had two penalties in injury time for both teams, quite incredible really . col_nufc1
End Of Season 2019 Review. We have had another great season in 2019 and the only trophy that eluded this season was the European Super cup which we lost against PSG on penalties after the game finished in a 1-1 draw. We really need the other Finnish clubs to give themselves a kick up the arse now as there isn't any real competition for us domestically and we could also do with them having a decent run in Europe as well as we can't get the League reputation up by ourselves. Transfers in 2019. Veikkausliiga Table. Veikkausliiga Player Stats. In The Cups. Ilves 4-0 TPS in the Suomen cup final. FC Inter 0-2 Ilves in the Liigacup final. Ilves 1-1 (5-6 on pens) PSG in the European Super cup. Ilves 3-0 River Plate in the FIFA Club World Cup final. We are through to the Champions League 1st knockout round after topping our group, we will play Arsenal. The Squad.

col_nufc1
The board haven't give us anything this season as we already had £24m sitting in our transfer kitty from last year, they haven't increased our wage budget either which is a little bit disapointing as there's quite a few players that I fancy that will be available on free transfers on July 1st, but I can obviously offer them contracts now. col_nufc1
Transfers In January-March 2020. I have got to many Brazilians in my squad now and unfortunately that's one of the few countries that's not classed as a EU member in the Veikkausliiga rules so I will have to sell some of them as your only allowed three non EU players in your match day squad. I have also signed four players on Bosman free transfers to come on July 1st and one of them is a World Class player who I have smashed my wage budget to sign, he will be on a massive £60k a week, find out who it is in the July update. Julio Ricardo joins on a Bosman free transfer from Palmeiras, Although he is good I think he will be one of the players I will let go in the next transfer window as I have loads of centre backs in the squad. Ronaldo joins on a Bosman free transfer from Sao Paulo, he will be retrained to be able to play in the DMC position, he also has lots of room left to improve some more. Pedro Fernando joins on a Bosman free transfer from Corinthians, unfortunately for him he will also be sold in the next transfer window and hopefully we can make a nice profit on him. Juha Henriksson joins for £250k from KuPS, he's a very talented youngster and will be classed as a homegrown player for us in a few years time, he has be loaned out to Veikkausliiga side HJK where he will be a key player for them which will aid his progression. Markku Jurvainen joins for £100k from HJK, he's another talened youngster who will be classed as homegrown in a few years, he has been loaned to Veikkausliiga side MYPA. Lasse Evers joins as a free agent, the German youngster has been loaned out to HJK to give him much needed first team football.
col_nufc1
Erdem Benstock joins as a free agent, I will try to loan him out in the next transfer window after he's had a few months of tutoring. Jorg Lauenstein joins as a free agent, the young German centre back has been loaned to Veikkausliiga side PK-35 where he will be a key player. Nikolaj Lattmann joins from Swiss side Grasshoppers for £1.2m, the 16 year old has loads of potential and will be tutored and get plenty of match time to aid his develpment quicker hopefully. col_nufc1
January - March 2020. After knocking Arsenal out of the Champions League in the 1st round for the second year in a row we were drawn against Barcelona in the quater finals, in the first leg at the Camp Nou they exacted revenge on us for beating them in last seasons final. At 3-0 down the tie is dead and unless a miracle happens in the second leg, then we will be knocked out. We are also in into the final of the liigacup and will play TPS next month. col_nufc1
April2020. As expected we have been knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona, we drew the second leg 0-0 but the damage was already done in that first leg. We have won the Liigacup after destroying TPS 7-0 in the final, in a one sided game as the scoreline would suggest . We have suffered a injury crisis towards the of end of April with the worst injury to young star Antti Holmstrom who will now be sidelined for about 9 months after he damaged his cruciate ligaments in the match with JJK . col_nufc1
May 2020. Even though we are top of the league, I am not happy that we are drawing games against sides who are parking the bus against us and hitting us on the counter with there only shot at goal. We should be destroying every team in the Veikkausliiga but we haven't be clinical enough in front of goal. We are through to another Suomen cup final after beating Jaro in the semi's, we will play JJK in the final in September.

col_nufc1
June 2020. We have played a hell of a lot better this month and it's a perfect June for us as we win all six games and keep five clean sheets. We wrapped June up with a nice 8-0 win over MYPA, which is our biggest win in the Veikkausliiga under my management.
col_nufc1
These were our transfers in July, all of them were free agents, the player with the highest profile is English left back Luke Shaw, who at 24 years old still has plenty of improvement to go. We also signed the Traore brothers, Bertrand and Alain who are from Burkina Faso. Peter Cruijff will become our main playmaker and Leandro Paredes will have to fight Robson for the starting AMC spot. The other two are players for the future but Christian Steinmetz could play now if we have injuries/suspensions.
col_nufc1
July 2020. We have increased our lead at the top of the Veikkausliiga to 16 points after another perfect month although FC Honka does have a game inhand over us. The board have also agreed to improve the clubs youth facilities, I just wish they would upgrade the youth recruitment so we could get better young players coming through the clubs academy. col_nufc1
You're making the league looks easy! Woot upgrades again you're hammering the league again Cheers lads, The league is really easy now, I would class us as a top six Premier League side and the rest of the division would range from lower Championship to League One standard. Until our league reputation increases to become one of the best leagues in Europe then nothing will change unfortunately and the only way that will happen is if the Finnish clubs do much much better in European competitions. col_nufc1
August 2020. It would of been another perfect month for us, but our draw against bottom of the table side VPS has put a end to that. I am really hoping that some of the other clubs get taken over by a tycoon so that we can have a little bit of competition domestically. This is our group for the Champions League, I think we'll finish in second place behind German side Bayern Munich, but you never know we might just edge it. I have smashed our transfer record by signing the brilliant Victor Flenley from Everton, The uncapped English defender cost us £14m and he looks worth every penny of it. col_nufc1
Youth Candidates 2020. Another poor youth intake for us, I'll probably offer contracts to the players with 1.5 - 2 star potential, just to sell them on in a few years time as they will be nowhere near good enough to stake a claim in the first team squad. col_nufc1
September 2020. We have made a great start to our Champions League campaign with two wins out of two, albeit against the two weakest sides in the group but you can only beat whats infront of you I suppose. We have another Suomen cup in our trophy cabinet after beating JJK in the final. We have also added another Veikkausliiga title to the trophy cabinet, that's the seventh while I have been the manager and eighth overall.
col_nufc1
October 2020. We've lost our first game in this years Champions League, going down 2-1 against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. col_nufc1
November - December 2020.
