kernohg
I'm looking at buying a new laptop. I'm hoping to buy something that'll be good for Football Manager. Anyway I've spotted these two. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/samsung-np550p7c-17-3-laptop-silver-12716781-pdt.html http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/toshiba-satellite-p855-307-15-6-laptop-silver-12520792-pdt.html Anybody got any thoughts on which might be best or for that matter any tips for anything better around those price ranges. Thanks
FrazT
These are both top of the range as far as FM is concerned- you could get a machine to run FM comfortably for about 300 pounds less, but if that is your budget, these will both be great for FM
Welshace
yeah.. over kill for fm only... but yeah.. go ahead if thats your budget... both of those are superb machines and will handle anything you throw at them with ease tbh
EVH5150
For future reference, and in order to future-proof to some degree, would it be best to buy a laptop with a dedicated graphics card?
FrazT
Todays machines with onboard graphics are more capable of handling graphics intensive games that ever before, but it is always recommended that you have a dedicated card, if there is a choice. judicious
You could get a configuration from pcspecialist for cheaper with better specs especially concerning the discrete GPU which will be the GDDR5 Nvidia GT 650M. Have a look at http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/optimusIII-17/ and play around with the configurations
