Micado
Going to be nice on the last day of the season: Ajax v Twente (for the 2nd spot) De Graafschap v Volendam (maybe for direct relegation). I assume next week that AZ will claim the title at home against Vitesse. Ajax are still too dependent on Suárez. Yep, although I find that Cvitanich is doing well since he has been injured al lot, Sulejmani isn't the player he was last year with Heerenveen, but he is still young so, he can become a good singing,
SI Staff Jeroen Thijssen Posted April 12, 2009 SI Staff Share Posted April 12, 2009 Van Basten misuses (abuses?) Sulejmani. Cvitanich is still young, he does look like a good signing - but he can't carry the team
Micado
Van Basten misuses (abuses?) Sulejmani. Yeah, mostly because of his price tag, 16M€, that weigths a lot on Sulejmani and Bassie wants to show the faith he has in him, was only the second time he was not in the 1st eleven (when fit). Cvitanich is still young, he does look like a good signing - but he can't carry the team Not yet, but maybe in the furture he can become a leader. Was with Suarez the same, and now he is the Captain of the team.

Micado
Is El Hamadoui ok, I saw that he was injured in the game vs NAC Just a minor bump he got, he can play against Vitesse at home in (what should be) game were they can clinch the title next week. robbert_o154
Why oh why is Ajax only capable of turning in these sorta performances when it no longer counts? They should have given Willem II this drubbing 2 years ago on the final day of the season, rather than that uninspired, aloof 2-0 that handed PSV the title on a golden plate. Oh yes, back then we only needed one more goal but now, when already have a better goal difference then Twente we put 7 (could/should be more) past Willem II. Still don't see Twente dropping points so it will all come down to the last game in the ArenA.

Micado
Twente - AZ, Heerenveen - FC Twente, Feyenoord - FC Twente also still to play... AZ will be champions then, so could be that the AZ players are still in celebration mode and can let the game against Twetnte slide away, Heerenveen is feeling the heat from PSV so they can fluke (Does PSV play before then that weekend?) and Feyenoord just doens't have the quality to hold off Twente. Well that is my view at least, you never can sure though.
Micado
Jhonny van Beukering will not play this season for NEC he has got damaged his meniscus in his left knee. Mounir El Hamdaoui might face a 2 game ban starting next weekend, this would mean he (can) miss the championship game for AZ. El Hamdaoui got injured during the game against NAC because of hard tackles from Kees Kwakman. El Hamdaoui was replaced in half time to prevent a bigger injury but apparently he has slapped Kwakman during the game, the Ref didn't see it and therefore the KNVB can issue a ban. Would be a blow for him to miss game against Vitesse at home.

He can play Saturday, but the FA will start a investigation, the prosecutor of the FA will decide on this matter after hearing the officials, Kees Kwakman and El Hamdaoui, based on these the prosecutor will offer a deal to El Hamdaooui next Monday or Tuesday. If he accepts the deal offered he will miss the game against Ajax, if he doesn't accept the deal the prosecutor will further handle the case on Thursday 23rd of April, which can lead to a bigger punishment.
