autonm
During a match - I select instructions and choose Pass To Feet - however the Performance info for the last 15minutes always tells be to get the players to increase their direct passing ... how can I do this??? or is there anything else I can choose to make passing more direct? Lord Rowell
Using the touchline shouts, I think "Get ball forward" would do this. Alternatively go to Tactics >>> Team Instructions >>> and set Passing to "Direct".
forzautd
"Pass into space" basically instructs players to be more direct.
Simon280586
Actually, I think pass into space is mainly to do with through balls. As stated above 'get ball forward' will do the job, but of course the two can complement each other.
st.cronin
Direct passing really means long passing. Pass to feet means safe passing. Its two different things.
dfgrigg
If memory serves, the effect of the 'Pass to Feet' touchline shout is to reduce each player's 'Try Through Balls' tactical setting. To switch to direct passing, you'll want to use the shouts 'Get Ball Forward' and maybe 'Pump Ball into Box'. Using the Counter or Attacking systems should also affect this, I think. Incidentally, I wouldn't recommend always using Pass to Feet. With most teams you'll create far more chances if your players can try more adventurous passes around the box.
