Ozzy38
I noticed at the end of my season that in Serie A, 3rd-5th had equal points and equal goal difference. It wasn't sorted by goals scored. I worked out a mini-league of the 3 teams and that wasn't right. It wasn't even alphabetical. So how is it/should it be worked out?...
TacticalGenius
Serie-A rules: When more that two teams are sharing the same number of points, the points accumulated in the matches between the teams are used to rank them, then goal difference if required. If this is not sufficient, goal difference over the entire season is used, and then goals scored. Further tie-breakers are seldom required beyond that. Maybe include overall pts/GD/GF/GA as well to save time.
Ozzy38
Pft never mind, it appears I did the mini-league wrong when I first did it. It makes sense this time. >_>
Misodoctakleidist
I thought the Italian league used number of wins as the first tie breaker anyway.
x42bn6
Mini-league. Incredibly stupid way of doing things, mind, as if you have 4 or more teams (as what happened this year in La Liga), it's nearly impossible to work out quickly without a computer (in fact, I think even lfp.es had the table wrong once after matchday 37).
