the greyham Posted April 9, 2010 Share Posted April 9, 2010 hi guys, i have followed a good few threads now so thought it time to make my own. my first ever . i'm not doin any of the challenges to speak of tho i have been most inspired by hrbfcrule at dosthill colts. Chimney Corner is a Northern Irish football club playing in NI second division. The club, founded in 1952, hails from Antrim and plays its home matches at Allen Park 1400 all seater. Club colours are red and white. the greyham Posted April 9, 2010 Author Share Posted April 9, 2010 Season 2009/10: we were predicted to finish 11th and with no youth prospects and i small squad i had a lot of work to do transfers a good start to the season but then had a mid season slump but fought back to become league winners only just league table very dissapointing in the cups, but with injuries and few players was better not playing so many matches co antrim cup: KO 1st round vs ballyclare 2-2 lost on penatlies Irish cup: KO 2nd round vs newington 3-1 loss Steel & sons cup: KO 4th round vs oxford utd stars 2-2 lost on peno's again (weird thing is i have good penatly takers lol) intermediate cup: after thrashing dunmurry rec 6-0 i lost to crusaders reserves 3-1 in the 2nd round cups over. key players: GK: gary philpott D: simon kelly M: Michael quinn F: ger rowe dont have screen shots of that season as i'm in the 2011/12 season atm. but some of them are still growing strong Career Overview Season League Position Achievements -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2009/10 NI second division 1st winners Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

the greyham Posted April 9, 2010 Author Share Posted April 9, 2010 Season 2010/11 Attempt to avoid relegation was on teh card for this season. our finances spiralling out of controll even tho i was within the wage budget a great season we had, tho we hit another slump mid season cant understand why league table beat bangor in the playoffs to gain promotion cups were a little better this season but nothing spectacular. co antrim cup: lost to glentoran(NIP winners) 2-0 in semi's League cup: KO in 1st round to armagh 4-3 on aggregate, scored in 93rd min grrrrr irish cup: KO in 4th round replay 4-1 glentoran (again) at least i got them to replay Steel & sons cup: KO qtr final 2-1 to donegal celtic intermediate cup: KO in qtr final 3-1 to H & W Welders Transfers, i brough in a few players and let loads go as i couldnt sell em last season even for £0, i didnt want to dirupt the harmoney too much and it worked transfers Key players: GK: ryan allsop D: Jay magee M: Glen humphries F: ethan mannion Career Overview Season League Position Achievements -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2009/10 NI second division 1st winners 2010/11 NI first division 2nd play off winners Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
the greyham Posted April 9, 2010 Author Share Posted April 9, 2010 season 2011/12 Promotion to premier division was a bit of a shock. but i knew i had a solid team some players according to my assistant were premier divsion leading stars. so i had to strengthen a couple of positions and add some back up in. i was to fight bravley from relegation this season but i opted for a mid table finish. transfers after finding this many class players i decided to have my strongest team play league matches only and had a lot of my previous team play cup matches only plus a bit of back up. i was quietly confident this season. i will be posting monthly updates from now on as i have nearly caught myself up.
