Reaction
I'm playing 10.1 without steam, and all I get virtually everytime I hit continue is this message: It's driving me nuts, slowing down the game. Each time I see this message I just have to hit "try again" about 4-5 times and it just continues as normal. Is there a fix for this by anychance? Sorry if this should be in the bugs forum, didn't want to post it there because its relevant to 10.1, not 10.
FrazT
This can happen if you downloaded and installed the wrong 10.1 patch. Uninstall, reinstall, hatch to the level you want.

huntelaar19
This was happening to me, apparently it can be fixed by updating your drivers, i just uninstalled and reinstalled via steam .

If he's not using steam though it sounds more likely there's an issue with the DVD drive not reading the disc correctly, have you tried running a Disc cleaner and making sure the disc itself is not smudged/dirty? Reaction
@ Huntelaar: I really dislike the 10.2 patch, gonna wait till 10.3 is released before updating. Steam's auto updater annoys the heck out of me. @ Steve: My disc has been cleaned, still got the issue

nine_iron
The auto updater in steam can be turned off, uncheck "automatically keep this game up to date". I enjoy the updater in steam, I am buying all my games from them from now on!
hannan300188
I know the OP has requested the closure of this thread but I had this problem the other day and all I done was restart my computer and it solved the problem so if it happens to anyone else give that a go
