ITFC Blue Army
From kicking the ball out for a corner? They are doing it over and over. Foot on the ball and clear for a throw or even hoof back up field but it's constantly losing me games.Driving me nuts. That is all. Cheers!
Helicon
I imagine this will be down to their composure rating, perhaps decisions too. So best you can do is training. Are you doing LLM, this kind of stuff is much more common in the lower leagues obviously!
ITFC Blue Army
Nope this is my disaster of a defence in the Premier League with Ipswich Town in my second season as a manager. Cheers
Whirlwind
Sometimes there is nothing you can do. When the closest opponent is 10 metres away and your defender has open options yet simply kicks the ball out of play, you know the ME is just screwing you and giving possession away. shrekiejai
I agree this needs to be looked at. It appears they want to pass back to the keeper but then they can't pass! It's highly frustrating because it looks so stupid.
The Laughing Man
save a pkm of the match, and take a note of the time when this occurs. then report it as a bug in the bugs section. i have noticed this as well - i think that the defenders are knocking it out for a corner when in reality they would be doing everything they can t avoid this. often it would appear on the screen that it would be easier to just hoof it up field. ReddaJoppe
Couldn't it have something to do with first touch as well? If the ball is close to the line, the defender tries to control it, but fails - due to poor first touch attribute.
Richard76
It makes me chuckle that quite often the commentary says the defender shows great composure by hoofing the ball out of play when there's not an opposing player near him. Fingers crossed for the next patch.
