VAR in the SPFL top flight

EPL mentions var, no mention of it in the rules for next season in Scotland either, hopefully its added by full release

After playing a few games in two different Scottish competitions i can confirm its not in the game.

FM24 with any hope. 

Really really poor this isn't in this release.  Does absolutely nothing to dispel the notion that FM called it in with this release.  VAR in the SPFL has been a talking point for months so really should have been in the beta never mind the official release.

I mean, it's not as if it is in a league remote from their main market!!

Exactly.  There's absolutely no excuse for it.  The game's updates have been minimal as well so it's no as if there's been a focus elsewhere.

Hi everyone, just to clarify on this. When certain rules are introduced to leagues after the season starts it can be difficult to get this implemented quickly in game. In this instance as you've said it was only introduced a few weeks ago so wasn't possible for us to have this included. 

It is of course something being looked at for a future update where we'll be addressing some issues raised on this tracker and introducing some late changing real life rules. 

Our next minor update is primarily focused on game stability, so we will aim to try and get this addressed for our next major update. 

Thanks for your patience and next time please ask the SPL if they wouldn't mind introducing stuff like this before the season kicks off! 

They did, here's an article from April stating the VAR will be introduced during this season, albeit originally planned for after the World Cup.

Absolutely ridiculous really. This was announced in April.

Just to add to this ... I've tried using the IG Editor to add VAR to SPFL Premiership with no luck.  After the recent update, I had VAR for the last 2 games of the season, albeit it was used in the matches VERY sporadically (penalty checks only).

 

Into 2nd season and its gone, not a single VAR check for anything this 2nd season.

 

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello, @cjd1888VAR is correctly applied to the Scottish Premier League after the recent update. This can be confirmed by checking the competition rules page.

Thanks for responding - there is definitely still an issue and I don't think its my save, just checked the rules page for Cinch Premiership which says Televised matches have VAR  - which is incorrect per SPFL rules - https://spfl.co.uk/news/var-to-be-introduced-this-month

 

Could you look into this?

That's weird as mine has all games:

And just done a new game start, and same came up. So no idea why your game is only televised games!

Just confirming, we've definitely got this implemented correctly, but it may require a new save for the changes to take effect. Can only apologise it's taken this long to spot that question, just answering in case you hadn't figured it out by yourself!
