This is the result at the end of the season. Deinze promoted, beerschot stayed behind... This was because deinze finished first in the regular season, before the league split.

This took me 30 minutes to test out, promotion/religation. I'm really starting to wonder if this league ever gets alpha tested at all. Basic bugs like this should not be in the game.

first issue: youth teams cannot participate in championship round:

For me, if you only read the RBFA rules, it's not that clear

    image

U23 can't be champions but cannot be promoted. If they can be champions, it means that they can play the championship playoffs... :idiot:

It's been clarified that they cannot take part in the championship round. It's not possible and shouldn't be in the game.

I just simulated to the end of season 2 and they didn't participate in the head to head games for first division promotion.

That's good to know, but this still needs to be fixed for the first season.

We've got this under review now, thank you. :)

    Hi,

Is the problem that  Youth teams can't promote from 3rd to 2nd division also known and being changed?

True but it doesn't happen in the beta version.

OHL and Young Reds promoted in my savegame:

u23 teams CAN participate in the champions play off.

They CANNOT get promoted. (as the senior teams play in div 1)

They CAN participate in the relegation play off

    They CAN be relegated.

So issue about participating in the play offs is incorrect.

Promotions to Challenger Pro seem to work.

    Guess time will tell...

How about promotion from challenger to pro league? The issue that's by far the biggest?

And finaly it seems they can, per the same source that used to say that they can't :idiot:

idea was that they can participate, but not promote to the same division where the feeder club is in.

So all in CHallenger can't promote. They can go down however.

On the other hand, those in the lower divisions, Young Reds, Jong Gent... can promote, as the won't be in the same league if they do so.

I don't regret making that statement as that was literally the only official source back when that was posted.

The Pro League told in June that the U23 couldn't access to the Promotion Playoffs:

    https://www.proleague.be/fr/cpl/news/de-nouvelles-bases-pour-le-football-professionnel-belge

    Citation

    This is utterly stupid.

I agree about the miscommnication from the pro league.

In thei defence, it was a new set up, and most wasn't agreed or communicated in time.

Current set up is better in my opinion.

In real life, NXT & Futures have both qualified. I think they earn to compete the remaining matches at the best level, as it is the idea to help evolve the players.

Non promotion to the same league as the feeder club is obvious as well.

And as we can notice, adding the u23 squads hasn't led to the being demolished each week. On the contrary I would say.
