Not quiet sure what you mean, but I put my comps in \My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 200x\comps

From the first years of FM since FM 2007 I allways used to play with real fixtures.

How is it possible to do the same with FM 2008 ?

Perhaps editing this file we can obtain real fixtures in the same way as FM 2007.

Do you know what part of the text that shall be edit?

Yea i just had a look at that panels.fmf

Alot lot lot lot more stuff in there than what i remember replacing on FM 07 scary.

Im not even going to bother try replacing the stuff in there with the stuff that we used for FM 07 to get a real fixture box!

Hopefully a programmer will figure out what to do for the real fixtures.

Anyway heres the fixtures i made for Championship.

Its not perfect yet i know i made it for FM 07 few months back but changed the dates as IRL for FM 08.

Once we know how to get real fixtures working and stuff ill move all the postponed games and games for telly and monday nights etc... But heres what ive done for now

The problem is how editing .fmf files.

If I use an editor like notepad or wordpad or the DOS editor and then save the file, when I open FM 2008 and start a new game, appears an error message and the game crashes.

We need to know the exact procedure to edit .fmf files.

could someone please fix these ASAP.....

I also found out how to add the tick box for real fixtures.

you simply add the nation league panel.xml in a panel folder you create in C:\Documents and Settings\your name\My documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\panels

but ticking the tox is not possible so far.

hopefully someone can take it from here to enable us to play with real fixtures.

I have tried basically everything I can think of to get the check box working

The last time I had this issue it was due to one of two reasons:

1) I had the cmp file in the wrong folder

2) I had given the file the wrong name

I am wondering whether I have placed the file in the correct place? Or if cmp files are still used, as I cannot find any on my PC when runing the game (like they used to appear in the past).

I have placed the file in a comps folder in both the data directory, and in the My Documents\SI\FM08\ directory. Still no joy...

anyone else have any luck? I did notice a Comp.EFA file in the install directory...wonder if that has anything to do with this?

I have no idea. If you can't get them to work then it is something worth

At the moment it is not possible enable real fixtures

We hope that it will be possible to do this at some point during FM2008's life cycle, but we currently don't have any idea on when this might be.

I am very disappointed that it's not possible enable real fixtures.

I allways used real fixtures with all previous fm games and I think that a new fm edition should increase game features, not reduce.

i honestly am disappointed with sigames efforts with this game. they should really ask the true players what they would like to see in the game and ask what they want instead of just doing it then saying there not sure when or how it's going to be done ( if it can be done that is).

Thats one main thing i love about FM was that you could create real life fixtures and play with them, Not being picky i just like things as close to real life as possible!

I am sad as you all that real fixtures doesn´t work, at the same time it gives us the time to create the files. If you don´t remember me I´m the man that created a lot fixtuers list for FM07 and I have created some for FM08.

At the same time I asking you guys if anyone wants to help just let me know. My goal for FM08 is that I want to create all lists for all playable leauges in the game.

LET´S DO IT TOGETHER!

English Premiership

Spanish Primera

Belgian Jupiler League

I'm 99.99% sure SI would love to put most things in the game including a real fixture list but then the end of the day its all about purchase the required license and certain FA’s (or FIFA) would be asking for daft money, something SI don’t really have.
