FM09's transfer system isn't exactly perfect, but IMO its the most realistic one so far.

With Fm2009 I definitely think its easier to buy and sell your players especially for realistic prices.

I still negotiation a pain. I made a bid for
    spoiler:
    Keirrison
    of £10mil, they cameback with £14.5mil. I offered £11mil, they offered £13mil. I made a bid of £12mil, and they wanted £16mil

I haven't played one yet that I really like, but it is improving. On 08 they would have asked for £38mil after my first offer

For one player I offered 14K they negotiated to 70K. I offered 50K and they accepted! \o/

You ****ed them off with your petty bidding so they upped you to 16.

I seriously doubt that is how it works. Clubs negoiate, on FM and irl. Just in FM they still don't do it properly.

Anyway, I don't see how bidding £12mil for a player worth £4.5mil is 'petty bidding'

For all Fm09's flaws, I would say the transfer system this year is better than in any other year.

I'd imagine IRL negotiations are a pain in the backside too.

Yeah, but they wouldn't ask you for more money than originally then when you have increased your bid by £2mil...
