"Player removed from shortlist" frustration -FM2013-

I find it quite frustrating to spend half or more of my playing time, re-shortlisting some ofthe 5672 players I found and shortkisted at some point in the past.

I cannot see why there is no option for a setting to permanently keeping players in the shortlist, without having to specify it every time we shortlist a player.

The button to shortlist a player without asking for how long is good but not good enough.

My proposition is to have an option in "Preferences" for how long we would like to keep players in the shortlist:

1 year, 5 years or Always.

What do you people think about it?

That option exists in the newer versions.

but for me it doesnt work at all. even players who are about to be removed from the shortlist and i manually add him 'indefinitely' he still pops up again a year later as coming off the list.

Do you scout them instead of adding to shortlist?

You need to change the option in the preferences: Staff > Responsibilities > Personal Assistant > "When you scout a player add him to your shortlist for X"
