Does this seem normal?

Ok so i was offered an interview with as roma in the job interview they said to me we would expect you to qualify for the europa league. roll on a couple of days i get the job roma where tenth when i took over so not doing that well at all, i managed to turn it round for them and ended up 2nd and very nearly displaced napoli from 1st place and won the italian cup on the way my job security was very secure at the end of the season and rightfully so i had done very well as far as i was concerned get to part where the season officially ends and new fixtures and stuff come out my security is suddenly only stable is this a bug or have they just forgotten about what i did season before?

Expectations will change from season to season. Once you do well in the new season you will see it rise again.

Not a bug. Intended. It's a jarring change, but understandable now you're in the new season.

The fact that you are secure is because they take the previous season into account. However, half a very good season is still not enough to be more than secure, which is actually a decent level. Consistent year on year success only buys you so much security, let alone half a season.

look at how many Championship managers lose there jobs a season after getting a team to the premier league,

you raise expectations but sometimes thats a bad thing if you cant keep them at that level
