QPRbrad Posted January 21, 2009 Share Posted January 21, 2009 So, because my computer isn't good enough to play FM 09 on i've decided to play it on my brother's computer. But I entered the activation code and it says "duplicate product code" and this is true because I used this product code on my computer downstairs but how do I resolve this problem? I've read all the faqs and solutions etc but I kinda didn't understand them and if that was my problem so could someone explain what I have to do and is there any other way I can solve the problem without unzipping that folder thingy cos i'm not very good on computers. MrPompey Posted January 21, 2009 Share Posted January 21, 2009 That should be OK as you get 5 seats meaning you can install on upto 5 locations on the basis you only play one at any time Authentication - One problem is the key font is not good, could you have keyed in say an oh intead of a zero Some naughty people might try to save money and run one game on two machines at the same time for two people The install shouldn't require you to to do any unzipping, it should just auto install... Step 1 – Download the activator from http://www.footballmanager.com/fixv2.zip Step 2 – Unzip the contents of the activator to your desktop. Step 3 – Double click the activate.vbs file. Note the screen shot below. Step 4 – Next you will see a dialog box prompting you for your license key. Step 5 – Enter your license key into the dialog. Remember – to check your key at http://keycheck.fm2009.softanchorinsight.com Step 6 – Press OK - then wait 30-60 seconds and you will receive a second message. If you are successful – the message will read: If you get this message, open the game and run it. If the activation fails, the message will read something like: The number in this message will help us understand the problem. For example, In this case the number -1003 indicates that your license key. Well, i've dowloaded it with win ace, then i right clicked on the file in win ace and extracted it to the desktop and i open the folder and it only had launcher.exe and activator.exe but no activator.vbs, what do I do, have I missed something? unzipping? how do I unzip or is it the same as extracting? There's a Disk Cleanup tool in Accessories -> System Tools that should be the first thing you try. Then look through your hard drive and see what's on there that's not needed.
