Anyone using a DELL Inspiron 1525?

Recommended Posts

you can't really ask that question as it depends on:

1) number of leagues

2) leagues in foreground / background

3) players loaded from

4) size of database

5) your definition of fast

What CPU is it, a Q6600

If so then it should be fine but really depends on the above

I have got an Inspiron 1525. I got 2gb RAM and it runs fast, I used to play on my old desktop and my laptop seems like something from the future compared to that. I am sure to some people 2gb RAM is not quick but for me it is good enough for me

Medium database with not too many league...3-4 maximum. The processing and match engine? Will that be fast enough? And wil 3d work smoothly?

15.4-inch WXGA (1280 x 800) CCFL TrueLife (glossy) screen

2.0GHz Core 2 Duo T7250 processor

3GB DDR2-667 SDRAM

120GB 5400 RPM SATA HDD

8x Dual-layer DVD±RW drive

Im using a 1525, all works fine. I didn't get any extra ram or graphics cards either, but its fine. 3d is good enough, and it works good with my usual leagues loaded (all the major European countries with all leagues loaded)

Is this HP Laptop good value for money:

14.1' screen

6mb L2 cache

6-cell battery

Data Bus Speed 800mhz

Vista Home Premium

64-bit computing

4GB DDR2 SDRAM SO-DIMM 200 pin (2x2GB)

2.5 GHz Core 2 Duo T9300

320GB Serial ATA-150 Hard Drive at 5400 rpm

Video Memory: installed size 128MB, total available graphics memory 1407 MB

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS

£499

Is that good value? And in particular is the graphics card etc good enough?

Cheers.
