Liam_FC
The 2d Engine only appears when the player is a bout to score. Is there any way to turn this on more frequently?
20daisy20
Nope I wanted to know the answer aswell.
Rawking2008
I think it's impossible to have more highlight moments. The only way to get the most of the 2D Engine is when you set the highlights to 'extended'.
Richie_Magpies
Nup. It will only come up when someone is about to score. Hopefully next year we can watch the whole game in the 2D engine:)

flameboy
Nup. It will only come up when someone is about to score. Hopefully next year we can watch the whole game in the 2D engine:) so no highlights of missed chances? just of goals? so as soon as the 2D engine pops up you know there is going to be a goal? Or am I taking your working that little bit too literally...
Richie_Magpies
Nah, literally. Most are misses, some goals:)
Rawking2008
There are highlights of missed chances. But not all of them. But all goals will be shown in the 2D engine. ::EDIT:: Richie_Magpies replied at the same time as me. LOL.
Lukaboi
Can you actually turn the 2d pitch off?
ComeontheArsenal
Yeah in the match on the bottom left toolbar you can turn pitch to Full, zoomed or none.

Pompey on Tour
I am yet to get the game but judging by the screenshots, the 2d pitch looks good. How would you guys rate the 2d engine? Is it a welcome addition or would you rather stick to the text only?
Lukaboi
I rate it fairly well although the pitch speed is always the same so it doesn't matter what speed you have it on. Overall: 7/
Vane
I'm a bit disappointed about how the 2D view works to be honest. It flicks on to show a miss or goal then quickly flicks out. You see it so little, I wonder whether it was worth putting it in the game. I'd like to see a bit more build up play. One for 2010 perhaps.
SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted November 15, 2008 SI Staff Share Posted November 15, 2008 I'm a bit disappointed about how the 2D view works to be honest. It flicks on to show a miss or goal then quickly flicks out. You see it so little, I wonder whether it was worth putting it in the game. I'd like to see a bit more build up play. One for 2010 perhaps. It was designed this way on purpose - simply put I didn't want matches to take the 5-6 minutes to play through that you have on the PC game, that would remove the 'pick up and play' nature of the PSP game where you can blast through a couple of matches quickly while on a bus or whatever. I feel it shows enough to help people determine where their weakpoints/strengths are (which is after all one of the most useful aspects of a 2d view) and some of the goals are imho crackers Finall as I've mentioned elsewhere though we will be listening to all feedback and using that to guide the future evolution of FMH (as always) - thanks very much for your comments. Vane
I understand where you're coming from Marc. The 2D view runs well.
zapislo
yes, some goals are real crackers, already had a few scored from the middle of the pitch. but the 2D view doesn't really show where your weak points are like you suggested... you just see one pass and one shot, that's it
